I've taken great photos with this camera. Ansel Adams once said, "The most important part of your camera is the 12 inches behind it." Its the photographer, not the camera people!
Also megapixels don't matter at all in any way. My nikon D3 is 12mp and blows this plastic toy out of the water. Lenses and sensor SIZE are all that matter. (And ISO performance helps, but only for low light shooting)
megapixels do not matter for quality, its just the output of the size of the photo, what really matters is the size of the sensor, if u had an 8mp phone camera and a 6mp full frame dslr, the dslr would look a helll of a lot better than the phone.
@x7Luke7x haha you actually have to be kidding me, this is fine, and performs about as good as the T3i minus full hd video and a higher MP count, which can actually cause the T3i to perform a little worse low light in some situations
The rebel line is an entry level DSLR, and is perfect for amateur photographers, or those interested in upgrading from a point and shoot camera. The T3 is an excellent example of how they have increased the quality of the Rebel line. I would look elsewhere for a review of the camera, as this video fails to discuss many of the camera's specifics.
@ProductionsAviles I hope for your sake you think things through and realize how idiotic a comment you left on here because as of now, I'll be sure to never send people in need of photographers your way.
DSLR does not mean professional camera! This is not a professional camera. A professional camera is a full framed (all except the Canon 1D Mark IV) camera capable of withstanding the beatings of professionals. They are weathersealed and don't have all the modes! They rarely have a built in flash as well!
@lilduck99 I understand what you mean because the T3 is no where near the professional level of DSLR camera. In the video, I compared the T3 as a DSLR camera to other types of camera like the Digital and Point and Shoot Cameras.
:( if my main purpose is to make videos with the camera should i buy the t3i so i can get an external mic, or can I just use the built in mic that comes with the t3?
@yagacsa This is not a review! I've mentioned this several times. This video only shows the picture and video test results. My review is up on my channel.
Hey do you notice that when taking pictures using the lcd display the camera struggles to focus and seem much slower to focus on any given subject vs when using the eyepiece it focuses just fine and speedy on the same subjects.
@ashrust96 Im just getting into the hobby so in my opinion, Its a GREAT entry-level DSLR. I love it and I chose it over the D3100 because the T3 is much easier to use. I have a review up on the camera and its got most of the details covered.
@EverythingISTech as in you can manually adjust what is in focus(I have seen this be possible on the T2i in photos. like in the photo of the lens cap, he used manual focus to make sure the camera didn't focus on the background.
@EverythingISTech You said "you could always purchase an external mic", I have the camera too (EOS 1100D) and there is NO external mic socket, 550D/T2i do have a mic socket.
@EverythingISTech Thats for a remote control, I thought it was a mic input too, but it isn't, its for a remote control, just google it or read the manual.
the reason that the T3 takes better quality pictures than the Nikon Coolpix is because even though they have the same megapixels, the DSLR will always have better quality.
@hannahhh12 Not entirely. Professional photographers (even those who are into the art as a hobby) carry both an slr and a point and shoot. Point and Shoots can take fantastic pictures if you know how to change the exposure rates, etc. However, I think it is EASER to take better photos with dslrs because you can easily change the settings and so alot more than the average point and shoot.
@irishalltheway960 I;m saying that the 18-55m lens kit is not good if you want to take shots from a faraway distance. Overall I love the 18-55ml lens kit because its a good for most purposes.
@irmabarragan08 I would recommend the T3. I was at the same stage, and I used both the D3100 and the T3. I like the T3 better because its easier to use and the view-finder is alot bigger on the T3 than the D3100. In my opinion, the T3 the camera I would recommend for anyone trying to learn about Photography. The D3100 has better video but its a pain because every time you change the subject (i.e. go from a flower to the grass) it makes alot of noise. If you can, go to a store and test both out.
@darkbouchon If you have the money start off with the t3i. Of course it might take a little more time to learn with the t3i, but you'll have the advantage of a better iso and megapixels. If you just want to make a start in photography (as a hobby or professinally) and your on a slight budget, I'd go with a t3. Just personally, I was thinking of buying a t3i, but I went with the t3 because of the money and for the fact i st wanted to take photos rather than 1080p video.
@EverythingISTech alright thanks for the info...well i'm not really on a tight budget..i'll explain you. i'm 17 and i work at a fast food so i get money lol and i dont have any obligations or anything. bills to pay or what ever u know so i guess i have lots of money...the only thing is a i spend it too fast and never have some lol. i spend it in useless shit...so i was thinking should i get the t3 or t3i...anyway i'Ll think about it
1-the camera is a t3 (sorry for confusing it a bit)
2- i really did not mean to compare the Coolpix. I just wanted to show how the T3's photos in general come out. I just used a few photos from the coolpix to give a you a feel for ghe pictures.
@EverythingISTech Im looking to get one, but the only thing I dont like is the plastic body. I really like the d3000 but there isnt any video, live view, or AEB. Im considering this one, but i think i should get the only i like...dont know....
@EverythingISTech AH ok. Im debating on this camera hard. The 2 choices im thinking over are the D3000 and this T3. The biggest differences i have noted are t3 has video, and AEB. I dont like the smooth grip on the canon or the cheesy plastic body. I like the feel of the Nikon D3000 and its body feels solid. Though it does not have bracketing or video. Any suggestions?
@ripsnorting13 Well I will be having a review up on the camera shortly (please subscribe to get the updates and it helps me out). Video on the T3 isn't great, and it shouldn't change your decision on which camera to buy. Between the two choices, I'd go with the T3 because its a great entry-level dslr, and the view-finder is much easier to use. The plastic body on the T3 isn't the greatest, but its solid enough that it will not break down on you. Go to a store and test both cameras out.
@EverythingISTech Yeah your right, I noticed the the video quality wasnt great on the t3. Nonetheless it has video at least. I work at a walmart photo lab (during summers for college) and I played around with the T3 and the D3000. The feel on the D3000 is great, but even the "bottle cap" style switch on top felt cheap on the T3. Im disappointed in Canon for putting so much freaking plastic on it. The Nikon feels solid and heavy in a sense of strength. Though T3 has more features.
@ripsnorting13 I mean of course the Nikon seems to be more sturdier as far as the build goes, but I honestly don't think you should entirely base your purchase on how the camera is built. In the end of the day, you really want a camera that has the features and can give you the learn experience. Of course the build quality is important, but if your careful with a camera, you'll be fine. Of course, whatever you feel is comfortable to use, thats the camera you should choose.
@underxstars Depends what your going to be using your camera for? If its more for the video, I would stick with the P500. For photos, I tried the D3100, and for me the view-finder wasn't as big as the T3's. I mean, I really love the T3 as far as pictures go. The specs of the P500 are pretty close, so the decsion is pretty hard to make. Personally, go check out both cameras in store and pick the one that suites you.
@EverythingISTech No, a DSLR is a type of camera, it is the style that most professional photographers use. the rebel line itself is made for consumers.
