In my opinion the appearance that she had plastic surgery is only partially true. In part, age has wizened her appearance gracefully, in addition to camera tricks and makeup. If she did have surgery, it wsa probably a small operation on her eyes to make them appear a bit larger, but not by that much. It is likely that all she did was remove the characteristic Asian folds.

I honestly do not think Ayu had plastic surgery. She has always had a very high and defined nose and big round eyes and most Asians get those two areas fixed so I really don't see where else she would have surgery. Make-up and hair style/color can really change how a person looks.
