  • I have no idea how I missed this game when it came out. I'm going to play it now, looksgreat. Is there a lot of grinding? :|

  • @Yoni123 It's been a while since I've played, but I remember the encounter rate being rather high...

  • @SpellsOfStrength I got the game already, and i like it :) the encounter rate is high, but its ok because the battle system is fun and most of the fights are quick

  • reminds me of nalbina from ff12

  • Is this game long? Does it take a while to finish it if you're a casual gamer? Let's say playing 1-2 hours of this game per day?

  • @myownerfeedsmejunk yeah dude its pretty long and fun, i miss it

if you want a long and nice game try Dragon Quest 8 ;)

  • holy shit

  • i am on Maringlen or what is the name of that planet,on mother Lair or Cave. The game it is just fantastic awesome.

  • Wow that guy talks alot

  • Active Chat. You can turn it off. I do it once I can access to the Options. Good game though.

  • I just once played this at my friends house, and beat the first boss... now I wanna get the game a fewyears later :p

  • this game reminds of Kingdom Hearts so much. But i love Kingdom Hearts so im probaly gonna check this game out.

  • Level 4 is an awesome company. I like all of their games.

  • Well, making more bosses, nine more keys, three more Great Tablets, nine or ten more planets, adding more monsters and Insectrons, not to mention making the monsters and Insectrons be able to be captured to play in an Insectron Stadium would be nice, too. Also, while we are on the subject, why not make one Insectron Stadium per world, hmm? Those are just some of the thought that I have had on these posts on here, ovafaze.

  • Despite all of the ranting and the raving, the game in generally a good one, aside from having one more issue that I forgot to mention, which is the camera system. When you come across something like a plant, tree, rock, building, or some other structure, regardless of whether you are in a battle or not, then block your view of your characters in the game. This could simply be fixed by making the objects that are in the game like that become transparent so that you can see your characters.

  • Well, I have made up my mind to buy this game next. I like how it reminds me a lot of another damn good RPG (one that has had a FOURTH rerelease as of late last year) on yet another system called the Nintendo DS. Yes, folks, it reminds me of Chrono Trigger and, like that game, the people that do not understand that this game is somewhat of a parody of typical RPG things and deride it for a cheesy and all too predictable storyline obviously have not played CT or watched Police Squad.

  • I do apologize if my posts seem like spam to you, MasterLL, but I have been really debating on whether or not to buy this game and thanks to your video, I am SO going to buy this game.

  • By being able to see your characters, ovafaze, it makes being in a battle or exploring something like an elevator or a door or something else so much easier in the game. Thankfully, this problem does not happen often in the game but when it does, the developers should have been smart enough to have programmed this kind of logic into the game. Other than those issues, the game is pretty good, despite the repetitive dialogue that is said in the game. More later.

  • Finally, what about some battle choices? I would have liked to have seen some monsters roam about in the game like they did in Chrono Trigger and thus trigger off some monster fights that are in the game. Sure, the Thinking Circles for some Quarry Boss Fights are nice but I would have liked some confrontation in the game to give it some real RPG-styled depth to the players. More on this later.

  • My suggestions would be to make a few more options that would be available for people to play in this game. I would like for there to be a multi-player mode that could be in the typical playing mode but with one to three players (which would play like Gauntlet, King of Dragons, or those two Capcom Dungeons and Dragons games), to play it with an Active Time Battle system (much like most Square Enix games), or to have a Waiting Battle System (like most other RPGs). Those are my two bits, folks.

  • buen juego le falto mas planetas y la historia no es muy buena

  • I would have liked to have seen some multi-player fights (like how they fight in Gauntlet or a much more complex version of how the old Capcom side-scrolling fighting games like King of Dragons and the Dungeons and Dragons games did), some Active Time Battle (ATB) fights like in most Square-Enix games, or some Wait systems like in almost every other RPG game. This would have given the players much more depth into the game than that was given to them in the first place.

  • it's a great RPG but it does nothing for me tho...heh

  • omg great game

  • Im stuck on the demon battle ship boss at the end. Id like a video on that. o.o

  • i prefer tales of symphoni

  • Symphonia... Not symphoni

  • took me around 50 h but it said on the bak that its got more than 100hrs of gameplay

    Bullshit

  • if you count all the things you can do in the game... this game is nearly endless! what with the froglog, quarries, rare items, hunts, weapon synthesizing.. its seriously WAY over 100h IF youre gonna do all that.

  • yeah i guess but who would do tht

  • Hello? People actually play RPGs just so that they CAN be on long ass adventures, Aucklandr01? Seriously, if you can have lots to do in a video game versus having very little to do in a video game, then which would you choose when playing a video game? It is a proven fact that a game that not only has more content than other games of its genre but that also makes the whole package go together well generally sells better than the games that do not have as much replay value.

  • yeah im halfway through the game and have done about 1/5 of the sidequests adn i've got 60 hours

  • what they mean is that the story itself isnt long, but there are numerous sidequests

  • Yeah, I see what you are saying now and there should have been more boss fights, a better scripted storyline, more planets to explore, say, nine or ten more planets, and that the Rose Nebula becomes a new planet and all of the keys make monster fights that later combine into larger monsters and that, in turn, become an uber monster that is controlled by the last guy in the previous version of Rogue Galaxy. Those are my two bits on it, though, and there are more things that need change, too.

  • Among the things that need changing are the storyline, which can be good at certain points but that it can also become quite bad in other parts, namely due to its poor lack of timing and outright overusage of cliches, predictable characters, forgettable characters, lack of true innovation, mostly predictable plot twists, and other RPG stereotypes. The acting is good and the story can be good but too many bad to mediocre things relegate it to being just another RPG.

  • There are other problems as well within the game. For instance, there can only be either 30 or 50 of the various HP and AP(a.k.a., MP) products instead of 99 of them and ditto for many other items as well. Why not make them all have a limit of carrying 99 of them like they do in most other RPGs? Also, the whole Revelation system could have been done deeper and there could have been more attacks that were given under it as well. I will go on in depth even more about this in another post.

  • I am sorry if it sounds like Pokemon even more now, but it could potentially lead for even greater rewards, incentives, prizes, and other things in the game if they would have done that in the first place when they made this game the first time around. Also, the Quarry system should not just get the regular monsters but that it should also be for the Insectrons and ALL bosses as opposed to just a paltry list of 212 monsters and only 24 optional bosses. More later.

  • Finally, the thing that pisses me off more than anything else is the whole concept of the Challenge fights. Sure, sometimes it is laugh out loud easy to wipe out four or five random monsters with something like, say, a SuperNova, but that other times that they have you do something that is rather stupid such as fight off monsters within too small of a time frame, or require that you only use one character in a fight. I will have more on this later.

  • However, the problems with using a single character in a fight are that the character is often someone that is in your party, that they are often weak with using HP or AP-based attacks, or that they can die WAY too quickly in the battle and thus rob you of a Hunter's Coin. Furthermore, there are some outright impossible, rather nonsensical, and just plain bullshit Challenge fights that will happen in a game such as, say fighting some Type-G robots without any items or abilities. More later.

  • Now who thought that it was such a damn brilliant idea to make someone fight a Type-G robot without any items or abilities when you know damn good and well that you must and HAVE to use an ability (namely any level of Flash Sword) in order to even penetrate their shields? How about other critter that require the usage of a Barrier Break Shot in order to attack them in a battle too? You will not do that if you want that Hunter's Coin, or so says the game. More later.

  • I would not only like for there to be more things to learn in the Revelation Flow System but that you can also use any and all excess items in a battle to fit in at any time within a Revelation Flow System for a character. For instance, if you have, say, a Sanchez Fruit and that you need one but the game will not allow you to collect it on the fly, then you are pretty much shit out of luck when it comes to making a new attack if you can not automatically use the Sanchez Fruit or anything else.

  • I have yet to explore the Insectron thing, so I have no opinion really on it other than that there needs to be more kinds of Insectrons and that regular and boss monsters should also be considered as potential Insectrons as well in the game. Also, all Insectrons swhould be considered as regular enemies as well in the game, thus making it far easier to collect them in battle in the Insectron Stadium. I would also like for there to have at least one Insectron Stadium per planet, too.

  • That should read other critters, by the way. At any rate, if you can not use an ability or an item on an opponent that requires the usage of them to even be dented, let alone defeated, in a battle, then does that not logically say that they game is the tiniest bit broken when it comes to the way that they conduct the whole Challenge scenario? The idea is a good one overall but too many things like these mar an otherwise good idea. More later.

  • At this rate, you might as well ask the Israelites to make bricks without not only straw but also without mud, water, mortar, a kiln, or even the sun because you would have more success in getting bricks from them or to make a real life working perpetual motion machine or making evolution into a bona fide certain scientific factual process of the universe than you would have in fighting some of the Challenge battles in Rogue Galaxy. I will sum up my viewpoints on this game in another post.

  • That should read should, folks. Sorry but I am getting used to this computer as I am typing this to you here.

  • Also, this could potentially become even more problematic if you have anything that is super rare, such as a Stella Crystal or Magic Lipstick in the game and you have to throw those things away as well if you lack the room to use it in your normal arsenal. These few things are the things that generally fuck up an otherwise good idea in the game. Now that I have that out of the way, I will discuss the stupidity that is the Factory System and why it should be fixed in my next post.

  • The Factory System is a good thing in theory but actually pulling off a Factory made item is a pure pain in the ass to be perfectly blunt with the people that are viewing this video and that are also commenting on said video. No matter what I seem to be doing with making anything in this video, it just plain does not fucking work period and the system is just plain broken. Maybe MasterLL would be nice and show us how to make things right on the Factory system one day on his channel?

  • Rogue Galaxy's Factory is one of the features I actually liked about the game. It's meant to be a puzzle to be worked out, not handed to the player. That's why one of the rewards for mastering it is 1)another costume and 2)One of the Legendary Swords

  • The first boss is easy but then a giltch happened and I could not mov and the tig was jupping around. Goodthing I could move the caera so I could look at it.

  • lol, I died agaisnt this thing twice, and then I decided to train, and then I kicked its ass. Good Job man.

  • For some reason the way the two other guys follow you reminds me of Kingdom hearts

  • altough i finsih the whole game in 78H hehe FFX-2 took me around 230H without any help

  • Simon is awesome. Rocket launchers only make him cooler lol. nice vid; i love rogue galaxy

  • It reminds me of Star Wars on the sand planet Tatooine.

  • This makes me feel so lame >_> It took me 2 tries to kill thhat thing but now i'm at chapter 6 and kickin' ass so, meh'..

  • I stopped playing this game, and I'm near the end. I'm going to have to finish it soon, cause I just loved the game.

  • 1st boss is like, what could it be, oh yeah, an slimy lizard! I think that Simon is mole-human. Well, look he's head. Just like a mouse's or mole's head.

  • i got a question is the battle like the battle in final fantasy 12 and what game is btter final fantasy12 or rouge galaxy

  • great vid i like seeing people showing the levels and training its good ! 5000/5 stars

  • i want to kno how long iz this game

  • its long 13 chapters

    (breaks ffx-2,5 chapters.)

    its a good game.

  • Thank You all, Thank You all! ^_^

Now.. if I can only get my 10+ Minute Ability...

*sigh*, I originally thought being a Director gives you that.. but apparently you need to sign up for that too (which the form is disabled currently).

  • Wait wait what?

    10+ minutes is now a SEPARATE ability/form?

What the heck are you doing youtube!

This wasn't the case when they waved me through airport security.

  • Sadly yes .. unless they messed up my Director's Account somehow lol.

  • They made Simon Scottish? Irish?

    Heck if I know.

And congratulations on your promotion by the way =D

  • THANK GOD U GOT THE DIRECTOR STAUS!

  • I'm sure you've gotten alittle further in the game by now and I was just wondering if you can switch to different characters besides Jaster? Great video.

  • Yes, in fact I could switch already to any active characters during battle. The only problem is that Jaster must always be part of the active party (regardless if you plan of controlling him or not).

  • Okay, thanks a lot for the info. ^^

  • @MasterLL yeah not to mention jaster kicks too much ass to not want him in your party. but zegram kicks equal ass too

  • yes congrats on your rise into Director status, man this game is awesome, it will be awhile before i get it! GG!

  • congrats for the director account. And this game looks great so far, is it for PS2?

  • Damn.. I really should state on the info for what system the game is. I'll do that!

Yup, PS2 just came out today. Ar Tonelico will be out next week too (looks like an interesting game to me).

  • oh great I was looking for a new game for PS2 (7 playthrogh in ToA and 2 in ToL made me want something new LOL)

  • I'm definitely interested in this game. Its battle system seems like some fusion of SO3 and VP2...

Hm...so are the battles in this game random? Or are you alerted whenever you're about to enter a battle? Or something?

  • Random encounter. It'll "WARNING" you when battle is about to start. Also it could be a "CHALLENGE" instead where you have to finish the battle in a special condition to get these special coins.

  • I didn't notice until now but congrats on getting Director :)

  • Nice! I am going to get this game in several days. Nice too see some vids on it.
