Have you seen the country lately? The major economical collapse brought on by irresponsible banks, and Democratic congress allowing people to make loans they'd never pay back.
Now with the government bailing out all these irresponsible companies with OUR money, and putting their foot in all the companies. Controlling who works, whats made, we're one short step away from a socialist dictatorship.

Hmm, the way I'm reading the proposal by the Obama team is this change would have nothing to do with the Miranda rights or the 5th amendment, but the 6th amendment and what rights the detainee would have after arraignment. It's unfortunate, but not the situation you're making it out to be, i.e., suspects prior to arrest having no right to legal counsel. I think you need to read the proposal more closely before hitting the "OMG my rights are being stripped away!" button.
