Yeah, they were doing that with Great white in Shreveport back then too. I got to watch to teams and roadies play against each other. The day before the Concert. Man, I havent thought of that in forever.
What i love the most about is the essence of the song, how powerful it feels. The way it begins smooth and then slowly climes into a really powerful and emotional climax. Truly a Music at its Best. FTW Tesla.
Something that i really regret is the fact that i was born in an era that is Truly full of shitty music, i feel like i missed out on the true years of music.
Don't worry man, every generation says that. I was born in 76 and love the 70's stuff and this stuff too. I just saw tesla live in sept. and they were absolutely awesome live. Talk about guys that care and don't take a night off, they are it. Sound was great, spot on performance. This song is great too!
IMO sounds poor related to album version or other live arrangements. But this doesn't change the fact, that it's my favourite Tesla song, and the song that got me into Tesla - especially the solo/lead starting at 4:05. It's really simple and really effective :) .
THE MOST UNDERRATED 90's band, EVER! I saw Tesla open for Def Leapord in '88 and have NEVER heard Joe Elliot talk about it. GOD, TESLA whipped thier ass! Blew me away! Bad-Ass twin leads, ultra tight set! True Rock!
This is a great song by a great band. Tesla was always unfairly labeled a glam band. They're not, they're just a good old fashioned rock band, and this is a good old fashioned rock song.
when i was eighteen iwas working out in the gym and heard this song and it made my blood boil and ran shivers down my back! that was the first tesla song iheard! i love this group ,and everytime i would mention them a lot of people would laugh at me but i dont care they still jam! they are even better live! i'm not a stoner ,i dont have long hair, i,m not even white but i can appreciate good music , and this group can kick ass! the lead singer has got this voice that can make you cry!
And why? Did it make you feel like a "real" bitch then? Was this the first time you weren't a "groupie"? Elaborate... People want to know why you think you're so great.
You are beyond lucky! Tesla will blow you away! They are so far superior to any other "80's" metal/ hard rock band... and then some... Jeff still sounds like he did in the round in '86??? Awesome show!
I left the valley shortly before this concert, unfortunately. Even through the recorded, unmixed, live sound, it is obvious to me that Tesla is still the best live band I have ever seen and more importantly heard! I don't even have to "Toke About It"! Long live "Steamin' Steve Clark"!!!
What?! Do you live under a rock or what? Tesla is the greatest and most under-rated, under appreciated band-Mega-talented, they rock! Better late than never-lol!
Wow Tesla kicks ass!! Check Out my band ORZACKS ROAD, we have a Jack Johnson/Tesla meets Pink Floyd sound. Please leave a rating or comment, and if you like it please add yourself as a friend at myspace-com /orzacksroad
RIP Steve Clarke.... Ok Tesla fans who is this guitarist playing with them? Its not Tommy Skeoch is it? I've met him quite a few times and it sure doesn't look like him. Im guessing this concert was filmed while he was rehabbing.
Great performance. I found this video referenced when I was looking up Steve Clark info in Wikipedia. Hard to believe he's been gone so long...RIP Steve.
Excelente homenaje a Stemain'. Def Leppard es una de las bandas mas influyentes de la historia. Descansa en paz Steve y que Dios te guarde en su gloria.
yea tesla is a great band!!!! am 20 and never got a chance to see steve clark live!! but wen i hear this song and look into the sky, i can see steve clark rocking! like he did.
Tesla is a great band, never got the credit they deserve! Top 5 bands in my book. Saw them open for def leppard in 80's ... during the hair band crap. They came out like they are now jeans, tee shirt(tank top) and ROCKED. Still do, this is one of there great songs, however they have many more, if you like rock guitar music and rock in general, check out there albums, top notch!!! Wish they made it. Unfortunate they never headlined an arena. For me, I enjoyed their intimate venues!!!!
Steve Clark was , is and always will be the best guitar player to walk the face of this earth.... This song just shows how loved he really was! I just wish he saw that. We love you Steve. Miss you. see you in heaven!!
i agree, steve is a veryy underrated guitarist. he was brilliant and always was for the fans. i miss him so much. Tesla rocks hard and are even more amazing because they made this song.
I'm a HUGE Def Leppard fan and I wish Steve hadn't succumbed to his demons. However, he wasn't the "best guitar player to walk the face..." That's just getting carried away.
that's frank hannon. the pants are red white and blue. he used to wear the funny hat too...but sold it on ebay...hat and les paul to benefit the families of the rhode island fire.
why does the guitar player have to wear those gay pants? What a great band but the pants have to go...lol.. He's lookin a little fat for those pants as well...I'm still laughing...He's ruining it for me with the pants...I just scroll down so I dont have to see the vid and just listen.
Actually, Pete Willis was the first guitarist in Def Leppard. Steve Clark was the second guitarist for the band after it was decided that Joe Elliott would sing instead of playing guitar.
I love Frank Hannon's pants in the video. Where do you find stuff like that?
God, they really kick ass, even on this crappy camcorder -- even though they are definitely not young!
