Reading an article about SNSD, I find this group is the best in japan. I think the idol-curture is a very distinct difference between korea and japan. And I think J-idols have its own charm.

Koreans love the cutsey, pretty , innocent girl look too...japan just pushes it overboard and makes it exceedingly cute (whether or not one likes it is their preference). Personally I think korean and japanese girl groups have their own charm and are good in their own way but SNSD is really popular in japan. AKB48 may be more popular still though but i duno
