To people that claim that Cyprus is Greek, since when? Cyprus was a part of the Ottoman empire since the 1500's and the only reason there is a single Greek on Cyprus today is that the Sultan made a stupid decision and gave Cyprus away to the British empire in the 1800's.
Otherwise all Greeks would have been expelled from Cyprus in 1923 and Cyprus would be a part of Turkey.

Not too sure about "terrorist group" - The British labelled EOKA terrorists as they would not surrender and fought for there country (As anyone would), but alot of Cypriots (Turkish or Greeks) would give in EOKA locations (Traders) and sided with the British, hence why EOKA killed them... EOKA did not kill for fun or territory but for freedom, big difference. They killed people who where trying to take the country.

The identity "turkish or greek cypriot" was introduced by the british in 1949 to create tensions on the island, and make sure that cyprus remained in the hands of the british.
in the 1950 referendum, 97% of greek cypriots wanted union with Greece as well as many many turks....turkish cypriots were carrying the greek flag, they spoke greek and signed for enosis in many cases....
