  • Scamh crusades against smoking and every other pleasure of the poor and mad. They want to transform us. Transforming Lives! It's their latest money-maker, like temperance, like prohibition. They should remember what their business really is, and mind it.

  • on champix , since dec 30th .. havent smoked since jan 9th and i have had no ill feelings or side effects or any cravings whatsoever .... i have been smoking 31 plus years and this is great ... finally break free from this sick and disgusting habit

    yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

  • search for ecig on youtube

  • I'll continue to smoke...it's impossible to stop. I suppose we ALL have to die some day. My dad smoked 2 - 3 packs per day died at 80 while some health conscious people die from something way before then. I hope I caught my dads genes.

  • on day 5 and the smokes dont seem to give me a nicotine hit , i have 5 days till i have to stop all togeather dont feel sick on them , but have a lack of motivation but quiting got to be better in the long run also smoking less 5 days on thease ive gone from 20 a day to 8 a day and i dont even like those 8

  • i started champix yesterday and felt a a bit weird for 30minutes after taking it , felt a bit week like i needed sugar , even after one tablet , smokes are tasting strange ie not nice ! will keep you posted

  • I have been on this for 6 weeks now and dont want to smoke. I do want to hurt people though and am bubbling under with rage most of the time. this is the worst of a long line of side effects that I am suffering at the mo. The drug will stop you smoking but be carefull!!

  • I am glad you wanna stop smoking. I hope you can also help other who wanna quit smoking. Thanx

  • I have had my doc give me the 0.5mg tabs twice daily and now I feel more like my self again thank God. And I still dont want to smoke! 5 weeks cigarette free and loving it!!!

ENERGY! NICE SMELLING! MORE MONEY! AND MOST IMPORTANTLY THERES LESS CHANCE OF MY DAUGHTER DOING IT NOW!!

  • I can see SUCCESS along your path!

  • just Quit!

    (i go through 2 lighters a day:(

  • 14 year, 2packs a day smoker here.. 5 days on champix havnt smoked in 3 days.....amazing......no cravings, no withdrawls

  • Chantix works great. I was a ten year smoker and Chantix was the only thing that helped. Side effects a little nausea in the morning, but it beats getting cancer.

  • Get the gum and work with that, then wean yourself off that ... it's safer ... the side effects of Champix are scarier than cigarettes to me ... google it!

  • I only smoke when I'm on the dance floor.

  • No seriously though, I want to know if this drug will affect my weed smoking habits because I want to feel an affect while smoking week. I think it only affects nicotine not thc but you never really know.

  • Word!

  • i bet you're obese

  • You know what they say about assuming things? Actually I'm 5' 11" 215lbs and go the gym the 6 days a week for 2 hours. Obese?? the furthest thing from it.

  • congratulations

  • Must be nice to be perfect.

  • Ya pal people are stupid, read your own stuff.

  • I think the governtment should legalize kicking smokers in the junk when they light up.

  • come on over and kick me

  • If the government (& anti-smoking lobbyist) were serious about helping citizens quit they'd give the RX directly to those who want to quit. How many Rx's, at $750 each, would a salary of just one person on funded call lines etc. be?

  • I love those riciduous 3D animations of how drugs work.

  • ridiculous* fucking lisdexia.

  • ROFL

  • Smoking is for LOSERS! Have some fucking self-respect! And not just the kind that impels you to post a fiery response to my derisive comment.

  • I have quit smoking for the past three months and ohip covers nothing so I have no idea what your taling about.

  • Firstly, thank you to newscanada for uploading this video. Secondly, is Champex (or however you spell it, you didn't include that in your description, lol) covered by OHIP?? Because if it isn't, it ought to be (but probably won't be, considering McGoofy's already spent the money he'll garner in unfair tax increases on cigs in his head so people gotta keep smokin! Yet another reason to buy native smokes, tax-free).

    Fondly,

    Rachel :)

  • Could not have said it better myself. Well done. If all smokers quit enmasse the tax coffers would go into shock.

  • Several smoking aids are already covered by OHIP, check out your local Health Unit, they should have all the information you need. McGuinty is a big supporter of helping tobacco-users quit. Tobacco use costs our health care system more than is raised in tax revenues (according to Revenue Canada's report, Tobacco Tax Policy).

  • As for Contraband Tobacco, no taxes are paid on it which means that we cannot raise the funds needed to help cover the health expenses and the tobacco used is typically more dangerous. A recent seizure of contraband tobacco by the RCMP founded traces of human feces, insect larva, metal shards and a ceased myriad of chemicals in addition to the 4000 known carcinogenic agents present in commercially available tobacco products.

  • Secondly, McGuinty's insane 2.4 billion tax hike (largest in ONT history) is 1, not all being spent on healthcare & 2, is unnecessary. Red tape, inefficient use, & exorbitant fees charged by healthcare product manafacturers & doctors are why the system is suffering. It's not surprising that more & more is asked of Ontarians while less & less is covered by OHIP.

  • If you are thinking about quiting, be sure to contact your local Health Unit, they will be able to set you up for a successful ceasation.

  • Thanks for commenting leviandrews, but with all due respect "several smoking aids are already covered by OHIP.." & they've worked wonders, haven't they? My query was is this new Champex thing covered by OHIP?

Secondly, your comments re: native tobacco are designed to manipulate & hype. I've smoked thousands of packs of high-quality native cigs & never seen any of what you describe. There's like microscopic amounts of all of that just about everywhere.

  • The point you make is very valid, and there are a number of native vendors who have gone through the process of becoming a legal distributor. If you purchase from an someone who is unlicensed it is a risk you run.

As for Champex, I sincerely hope that it is covered, I can see this making a real difference. Your local health unit should have the answer (they are an amazing resource).

  • OHIP is not a drug plan, it has never covered prescription drugs unless you are in a hospital at the time. What you are thinking of is whether a drug plan like Blue Cross will cover this drug.
