I now leave it as a monument to what it did look like as 99% of traces of Windows 7 ever looking like this have disappeared.

Lawl at you guys. WIndows 7 is pretty much Windows Vista, but updated. They've fixed most bugs Vista had. No matter how long you've been following it, they've been basing it off vista. VIsta's in a way, the Beta of 7. So of course 7 is going to look like Vista. as for XP, just get a new theme. Simple as that.

You haven't used Vista? There are a fair few, their anti-virus, the internet crashes a fair bit, DVD playback I found was glitchy with certian DVDs actually the media player full stop was S***e, I got iTunes instead, Media center same problems as media player it just wouldn't play certain files and sometimes told me that Vista couldn't support the version... but it came with vista! Installing drivers OMG! The countless hours I've searched for some and then have them not even work!!

I never said I was trying to defend Windows at all, I'm not defending anything. I'm just simply pointing out how wrong you are.
