why are they so slow?? is there some ridiculously low max speed imposed or what's going on?? electric can be very fast so why this??

They are fast. This video was taken just days before we shipped the cars to the competition, so we were playing it safe. The point of building the car is to be in top shape for the competition, not to look fast on video :)

Ali emadi...an asset to IIT...i took up 2 short courses under his teaching!!!
U sure can learn a lot abt hybrid electric vehicles,motors and electric effeciency stuff...You would be a lucky guy/girl to get assistantship under such a previliged prof.!

WOw!!! I am proud to be an IIT ian!!!! I know this guy WIKRAMSINGHE- the Proj manager....I happened to take a class along with him....
the other guys....George and his frnd...(rider and the speaker ) are active students too!
