I got this running on win 7. I got the game from piratebay, changed the exe file to 'run as admin' 'win 95 compat. mode' and '256 color mode'. Click the reg file in the zip to install it and run the game. Should work for you now.

@fin600 I've done all of that and then ran the .exe. It'll go to the start menu and let me pick settings, but then after I click start it gives me a 'bad pointer' error and something else about Smartheap...

This game was awesome, I was lucky enough to find a legal cop y of it I was a kid.. so, yeah. Shame it doesnt seem to work well on Vista/7

U guys can get this game from pirate bay download with u torrent and unzip with winrar make sure u set compatibility to 1995 or 1998 and 256 colours and it works best on xp computers and older ones.

I love this game and I recently downloaded the full version. However, I can't get it to work. I have Windows Vista. I tried running in compatability for Windows 95 with 256 colors, Windows 98 without 256 colors, and any combonation of these, even with all of them off. I also updated the registry. It won't work! I always get a message from SmartHeap or something. Plz halp!

im using vista, downloaded virtual pc 2007, installed win 95.

and this game doesnt run.

yeah! i found out how this game will run on vista!

the problem is the color depth. vista uses about 16k or 32k, this game requires 256 colors.

you can start this game in compatibility mode (right click on the program and check 256) - however my game crashes in this mode.

so if this happens to you, you have to change vista's color depth to 256:

control panel -> display properties -> advanced -> show all modes -> and pick something with 256 colours.
