  • she gives this gamer a boner

  • Ms. Pac-Man is the biggest whore ever. Give her 25 cents and she's eat balls until she dies, literally.

  • @Banjokazooiemaster Now that was funny. Sad but true thou. Well thought out comment.

  • ms pacman kicks ass

  • you sound tired or sad mark

  • The only difference between the 5200 and the 7800 versions of ms. pac man would be the detail on the fruits in the maze and the bottom of the screen!

  • I have more fun playing Atari 7800, then any other game system and it now is my all time favorite game system.

  • Ms. Pac-Man for the Atari 7800 is quite colourful and exciting to play :)

  • Take a shot at 'Ms. Pac Man EX'. NAMCO didn't dignify PC audience with 'Pac Man: Championship Edition' but this is probably the next best thing. See the trailer right here, on 'youtube'.

  • @Ticr00

    Batter up!

  • 2:09 fast!

  • The 7800 was originally released in June of 1984. It was later rereleased after the crash in January of 1986. Jack Tramiel the head of the company wanted to focus more on computers and it's why it didn't fare so well. The sound lagged behind the competition being the basic 2 bit channel sound utilized by the 2600/VCS model and ended up leading to it's demise.

  • @Luigi84289 If the sound output was at least close to the nes and the advertising had been more widespread it could have competed pretty fairly and probably gotten a slew of awesome 3rd party games.

  • pac man and ms.pac man is the best game ever and it will always be like if i choose pac man or ms pac man over call of duty or halo or something like that i will pac man or ms pac man

  • i like the snes version better

  • i havnt played this in so focking long

  • Ms. Pac-man is the best! I refuse to play regular Pac-man. Too slow and bland. >:( I hate it isn't on the wii virtual console because I just got an arcade fightstick for the wii.

  • @ratub12 I don't like to talk down to people, but since you're so fond of telling people to "get their facts straight"... You apparently didn't know who GCC was, perhaps you should have looked up their history before telling me what they didn't do. They have a website.

If you're interested, find the audio recording from the GCC 25th anniversary reunion. The founders of GCC talk about the company's early days when they were involved in video games. I think it's hosted at atarimuseum somewhere.

  • @ratub12 Those "college dropouts" you refer to are General Computer Corporation, like I said.

I'm aware that the original version was Crazy Otto, not Ms Pac Man - there's only 500 chars so I skipped that unnecessary detail.

They didn't deal with Namco, it was Midway (who held US distribution rights for Pac-Man) that bought the game from GCC and changed it to Ms Pac Man. Namco didn't approve this.

GCC also did work for Atari as I listed, and many more games as well.

  • hey what atari system should i get 2600 5200 7800 lynx or jaguar

  • @thesuperleeroy 2600 and 7800!

  • @TheAtari2600fan got the 2600 and the 7800 and and THEY ARE AMAZIng thanks for the advice

  • @thesuperleeroy anytime!

  • 2600 + 2600 = 5200

    5200 + 2600 = 7800

    What's next? 10400?

  • @ProManUnitedFan I Thought It Would Be 10600? As I Put As A Comment On Another CGR Atari 7800 Review!

  • Feels faster than the 5200 version.

  • @queensplazasouth then thats why you skip them....not hard to do

  • Please review Super Pac-Man on the Atari 7800.

  • Wow, this is an excellent port.

Also, one of the few 7800 games with halfway decent sound. Nice!

  • Back in the 80s' this console was the Ps3/Xbox 360!

  • I thought Atari waited to release the 7800, due to the crash, so they released it after the Nintendo.

  • @causedthefire That's exactly right. You thought correctely

  • And I forgot to say. My favorite "port" of the game is the one that comes in the "Namcomuseum" game for the GameCube/PS2.

  • pac man ftw fuck the new games lets rock old school way

  • I got Ms. Pac-Man FEVER!!!!!!

  • copy and paste

2.send this to 2 other videos

3.hold your breath for 10 seconds

    4.press refresh twice

    3.LOOK AT YOUR HANDS

  • yeah this is close enough to be called mrs pacman

  • I never knew there was a 7800 version. I knew about the 5200 version, but this is the first time I've seen the 7800 version.

  • Wow the 7800 has terrible music.

  • pac man vs ms pac man GO! tell me what you think

  • that normal pacman game is awsome on da fone

  • Can somebody tell me how this is so different from regular Pac-Man except a skin change

  • the characters move a lot faster and there are more mazes and girly colors

  • The sound is changed, there are more mazes, a pretzel added, and different cutscenes.

  • the mazes change and the fruit hops around.

  • the fruits, the cut scenes

  • This does make me wonder why the NES and SNES versions didn't have the entire mazes on the screen at once.

  • the 7800 was test marketed in 83 bu8t had a full release 87 kinda weird so yeah 7800 came before NES

  • Test marketed in mid 1984 but locked away until early 1986, to be more accurate.

The NES hardware is technology from 1983: It is, after all, just an alternate design of the Famicom.

So, as far as the machines go, the Famicom, and therfore the NES hardware, is older than the 7800 by about 1 year from production status.

  • Good game. I think I still have it, somewhere in my basement.

  • rate this vid five

  • i still shot my nutsack with an ak-47.

  • Hope ya enjoyed it. :)

  • awesome review and it is a huge step up from the 5200 version

  • 2600 version actually.

  • well both in my opinion

  • Well, there is definitely improvement. You can see shadow details on the fruit in the 7800 version, while the 5200's can seem "bland" sometimes.

Honestly though, I wouldn't know. The Atari 7800 is on my "buy it later" list. Currently I have Atari 2600 and Atari 5200, as well as Colecovision and Intellivision. However, the Atari 7800 and Atari Jaguar are still on my "I need this now or never" list, lolz.

  • I dare you to get to the green screen!

  • LOL at the time lapse.

  • Geez your good at Ms pacman

    Btw good review

  • There is one major flaw with this game in that the Beginner mode (with a Teddy Bear head for fruit) actually turns out to be the hardest mode of the game because they slowed Ms. Pac-Man down. It's fine for the first few levels, but the ghosts still increase in speed as the game wears on, where-as Ms. Pac-Man doesn't and as I said is going slower than she does in normal mode. It pretty much makes a beginner's game impossible beyond a certain point.

  • what's the difference between the 5200 and 7800?

  • 5200 == Atari 8-bit computer which was designed in 1979. They subtracted the keyboard and turned it into a game console.

7800 == from-the-ground game console designed in 1984 and scheduled to be released that year until Tramel changed his mind.

The NES was designed in 1983, so it's actually slightly-older techology than the 7800 and Sega Master System (1985).

  • I personally would say that a 5200 is a superior console.

Ascetically they are almost identical only the 52oo is ginormous in comparison of size with a equally sizely compartment in the back of the console.

The big downer that everyone talks about in regards to the 5200 is the controllers reliability to stop functioning over time of regular use.

The 7800 is very much the same but with a slightly more casual approach by Atari and a pair of BAD controllers that are unlike the 5200 reliable.

  • i love all the games you have uploaded. i wish i still had the 5200 set and games back in my youth.

  • The Atari 7800 was almost ready for release but put on the backburner for production when Atari wanted to focus more on computers. When the NES took the market by storm, Atari reconsidered and rushed the 7800 out, but I guess it was too late for them.

  • im crap at pac man on my fone :S

  • it's fucked up that something as big as an arcade machine can be emulated so well on something that fits in your hand. If anyone had told me that when I was a kid I would have run from them because I would have thought they were crazy. lol

  • my very first game

  • good but not as good as the arcade, i just played an arcade ms pac man at this one rest stop in indiana.

  • lol 1:56 you got gangbanged

  • COOL

  • The 7800 was originally scheduled to come out in 1984, 2 full years before the NES.

  • But Famicom was relased in 1983. And NES in 1985 xP

  • Can you do simple math? 1985-1984 is 1. Not 2. 1.

  • Uh so you mean 1985 - 1984 = first, not second, first? Don't put the dot after the number if you don't know what it means.

  • No, I was replying to the guy who said "The 7800 was originally scheduled to come out in 1984, 2 full years before the NES."

    I said that 1985 was 1 year after 1984. 1. Not 2. 1.

  • what's more is that Nintendo had approached Atari to distribute the NES under Atari's name and the geniuses at Atari turned them down because "video games were dead and they wanted to focus on PCs"

  • Atari turning down Nintendo reminds me of Nintendo screwing over Sony. Both were times when the torch was passed from one company to another as supreme ruler of video games

  • Well....that's sort of true. The deal was practically inked until Atari execs noticed a Coleco ADAM machine running Donkey Kong at a CES show. Atari had computer rights to DK while Coleco had the console rights. Technically the ADAM was in Colecovision mode. Nevertheless a shouting match ensued with Nintento going ape with Colec execs and Atari feeling left out in the cold. It was the Tramiels that opted to push Atari in a PC direction. They had an opportunity to market the Genesis.

  • That's because of the owner at the time, he screwed everything up badly.

  • love my 7800!!

  • Yeah this looks and sounds awesome, I only have the 2600 version.

  • SO hot and now because of better graphics she eats balls!!!!!!!!:0

  • @lorenzotheman power pellets

  • No better than the atari 2600 port of Pac-Man. JUST KIDDING! This may be my fave version of the Ms. Pac-Man port. It reminds me of my childhood at 7 years old. It was made by the same creator of the original Ms. Pac-man. But beware, this game's more challenging than you think!

  • The Ms. Pac Man arcade game (which was an unauthorized hack of Pac-Man, not Namco's work), the Atari 7800 console, and the 2600 and 7800 ports of Ms. Pac Man were all developed by the same people (General Computer Corporation). So this is quite an authoritative version. This game was apparently close to their hearts when they designed the 7800 - one of the 1983 tech documents uses a Pac Man diagram to illustrate how the graphics system works.

  • Great information, thank you! This game plays like perfection so this makes sense. - mark

  • @gdement It was Crazy Otto first, and given to Midway to distribute, who edited the game's graphics and called it Ms Pac Man

  • Haha sorry to call you out in that last video. But I knew that those facts were wrong. But I can see your logic behind it of course. The 7800 version of Ms.Pacman is my favorite port of the game. And Ms.Pacman is my favorite game of all time. Thank you for this awesome video!

  • Ms. Pac Man rocks. You know it!

  • Ms. Pac Man was on the NES too yaknow. And Sega Genesis. And Super Nintendo...and....more...

  • @InecomCompany Hey can you do a video on Nintendo-Monopoly?

  • An almost perfect arcade translation.

  • Your practically joking when 2600 pac man could be compared to this. Something about the vibrancy and sound of that 7800 ms. pac man that reminded me of how crisp and smooth that era of gaming really was. It almost has a dusty nostalgic smell.

  • Down with the Pac.. MAN. ....damn, I guess we're never seeing THAT episode of Classic Game Room 2000, are we? That one's probably too edgy for the kids to take. Or is it?

  • Did PacMan Jr. apprear on any Atari console? I can really only recal it in arcades.

  • Yes Jr Pac-Man was released for the Atari 2600 in 1987. It was one of the red label cartridges. There was suppose to be a release for the Atari 5200 but it never came out. But the rom was dumped and can be played on 5200 emulators.

  • My parents bought me a 2600 back around 1990, it was the redesigned "2600 Jr" model and it came with Jr. Pac-Man bundled with it.
