@WZW1982 I never thought of that, I guess it's a possibility. It just seemed to me the landing gear was so out of proportion to the rest of the helicopter. It's definitely a fine machine, I've looked on the JetCat website, "cheap" model jet engines are 4 or 5 grand. There is also a pretty amazing model SR-71 vid posted on YT, also "the fasted RC plane in the world" is very good if you haven't seen them.

Just the engine is $6K+... this is actually built for aerial photography, hence the giant landing gear (camera mount/camera goes under).

imagine a smaller multi-blade prop fan 3 or 4 larger turbine motors built from carbon fibre and titanium, with a lift cap of 40kg each, auto giro controls....built in cams with remote, lift harnes and suply containers for those high altitude climbers with a broken leg or lost tent. lol even wounded soldiers pinned down in need of ammo or a helping hand that is too close for an airstrike or rescue. kevlar valence skirts for blade protection agains gun fire, and a nice rc machine gun with sight
