everytime i hear this song it makes me almost cry. My great grandma and grandma had another child that died days after their birth. I can't imagine the pain of the heart...

@blackblood760 My NaNa (aka grandmother) passed last summer due to lung cancer. I know how you feel. The pain hurts so much, but then in Christ we are reminded that we WILL see our loved ones once again someday. Can't wait either, but until then I know that I am held by the Lord.. and so is she in Heaven. ♥

@helleuw - My opinion, for what that's worth: Sometimes, even when doing the best we can to live righteously as Christians, tragic things happen. God's perspective is so much higher, broader, more profound than we can comprehend. He's looking for the final analysis: what is produced. In the course of great loss, such as in this song, what we can be left with is: if God is *all* we have, is that sufficient? To be held in the palm of His hand. Christ suffered greatly for us. Should not we for Him?

@helleuw - Referring to my other comment. I lost a child. I know that child is with God. In the course of processing things, I realized that the character I began to develop as a result of suffering was of great value to God. In His mercy He subsequently also blessed me w/2 more children; but in my hope, I know I shall see that baby again. Too many Christians are looking for a charmed life without suffering. That is not our calling according to the Holy Scripture. We are to become like Him.
