@premierguitar thank you for the response, I tried looking but I was looking at the egnateramps website rather than just egnater so I guess that is why I didn't see anything about it.
Nice Nice Video. I really loved your video. Youtube can be a great asset for you. If you need any help getting your video exposed, check out this site called tubeviews [dot net] It has really done wonders for me, I have built 3 Channels up with videos at top in position and this is my forth channel i'm going to working on.
The clean input bypasses the first tube stage. This is based on a JTM 45, but not exactly. Its more of a master volume single channel early 80's JCM 800. However, its all point to point wired and sounds great. Thanks for all the kind words!
My friend has a jcm800 50 watt and the sound you are getting is far beyond that! The initial jam sounds like a plexi meets bad cat or other maybe matchless. The 3:00 sound. Kinda clanky. 4:00 is more el34 sound. British. Is that last tone a channel mix? 6:50 is definitely a sorta channel mix tone in my opinion. Is the amp a class A or A-B?
The clean input bypasses the first preamp stage. On the dirty side there is a low and high input....the low input (IIRC) has a few components on it to lower the signal level, thus it doesn't drive the preamp as hard as the high input. The amp is Class A/B.
Yeah I can hear the bypass sound it's super clean! I just got a Bogner Shiva 80 watt el34. It has the 1-12 celestion classic 80 watt speaker. It is less throaty and more focused than the amp your playing with. Very plexi sound with tight articulation. Kind of like a hi-fi Marshall. I thought the bad cats were very throaty as well if that is actually a word!

@premierguitar are these seminars still going on?
LainOfTheRealWorld 1 year ago
@LainOfTheRealWorld On their website, Egnater says that the seminars are currently on hold. No indication if or when they'll resume.

Sounds too compressed to me.

I think this video just convinced me to sign up for the next seminar. That amp sounds amazing, and very versatile. Great playing too!

where are egnater amps made
ilikecereal507 3 years ago
SUPER SWEET! I bet you could build that amp for a couple hundred... about a GRAND less than a Marshall JCM900! (which that sounds a lot like!)
cybershane 3 years ago
@cybershane Transformers are what costs you. They make up about $200-300 of the amp if they are good quality.

For my style I would have to "dime" the gain all day.
guitaristguy20 3 years ago
Was your amp built with an internal jumper? I don't think the jtm 45's had that much gain without jumping. Great tone! Great playing too!
