“’I have loved you,’” says the LORD. But you ask, 'How have you loved us?' ‘Was not Esau Jacob's brother?’ the LORD says. ‘Yet I have loved Jacob, but Esau I have hated, and I have turned his mountains into a wasteland and left his inheritance to the desert jackals.’” Malachi 1:2-3
Well, it's strange how God can personally hate a sinner who is a non-believer. Because you see, I have Jesus within my heart and I love him more than anything, how come I can have such a love for non-believers that I wish with all of my heart that they will turn their hearts to Christ?
"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." (Rom 5:8 KJV) GOD STILL LOVES YOU IF YOU ARE A SINNER! But if you reject his love, his wrath will be upon you.
GET THIS THROUGH YOUR HEADS, you who believe this praching. that God HATES THE SINNER is hyperbole, a exaggeration to make a point. It expresses STRONG DISAPPROVAL which is worlds apart from hatred.
hyperbole is something the Hebrew scriptures are full of.
If these passages are not hyperbole, are to be taken literally, then God's love is not only not better than men, it is worse. it is no love at all
this man is in GRAVE danger. he denies the lord who sent him. He WILL meet wrath
@Strefanasha God hates sin, sin comes originally comes from satan. God loves us all, but He is not pleased thats for sure! with people who carry on in sin.... so if one continues to sin you are not a child of God... it says this in the bible. So think about it a little deeper and you might just get there.
@MrNickKane - all you single Scripture posters, read his post again. The Bible is not a book of pithy quotes like a box full of fortune cookies... it is a whole book with CONTEXT. Every scripture relates to the rest of the book as a whole, and must be reconciled as such.
@bigbadwolf1, hey, read up in Hosea 3:1, how it says, The LORD said to me, "Go, show your love to your wife again, though she is loved by another and is an adulteress. Love her as the LORD loves the Israelites, though they turn to other gods and love the sacred raisin cakes." See? See how God loves the sinner and hates the sin?
@life1517 But that verse is talking about specific people. God's people. God does love the sinner but hate the sin when it comes to those that are his. What this video is disproving is the popular teaching of most churches today that teach God hates the sin but loves the sinner as just a general teaching meant for every single person, but that is not what the Bible teaches.
1 John 4:18 "There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love."
Jesus Christ is God come down as man! Look to Christ to know God's love! Trust God!
@xeadm God does not punish. God's love will be experienced either as a warm light or an all-consuming fire, depending on the darkness in our own hearts. Only God knows who are truly the members of His Church.
Conway & Washer are wrong, God does love the sinner.
1 John 4:10 "This is REAL LOVE--not that we loved God, but that HE LOVED US and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins." & Romans 5:8 "But God demonstrates his own LOVE FOR US in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us"
& lastly, God himself stressed the Golden Rule in Luke 6:31 . God wants us to love him, that's why he loves us.
@life1517 In 1John4:10, propitiation is what appeases the wrath of God for the redeemed. SO who are those whom He loved? Those whom John is writing to ...the Saved who were propitiated for. Those who dont accept Him do not get their sins taken away do they? US=REDEEMED uS DOESNT MEAN EVERYONE
Romans 5:8-In v1 who are those being spoken to? Those who are JUSTIFIED not everyone. v8 while who were yet sinners? THE ELECT Not the condemned.Dont know what the golden rule has to do with God loving
@life1517 God does love the sinner, but he also hates them. Since he is God, he can do both. As humans, we cannot, in my opinion. Therefore, we love sinners, but God hates them as well as loves them. Psalm 5:5 "You (God) hate all who do wrong."
@life1517 well said. this preaching is indeed blasphemy. they do it as they see love abused and twisted. so instead of coming to God personally, which is the only way to be transformed (IN PERSON) they deny the Love.
How can God let the sinner live and give him so many blessings, unless He loves him? There is a kind of love between God and sinners. We call it the “love of benevolence.” That means the love of good will. Benevolens — willing well. Doing well. God can do well to the sinner without loving him with the other kind of love. “Complacent love,” a pleasure in, affection for, admiration of. It exists in perfection between the Father and the Son, “in whom I am well pleased” (Matt.3:17; Mk.1:11).
I really like how people use certain Scriptures to refute the Scriptures that Tim references but they seldom try to reconcile the ones he uses with the ones they use. It's odd that people would be satisfied with these seeming contradictions. However, I bet Tim can reconcile them. So, unless you are willing to, don't post any responses until you can. Please.
I'm sorry, God doesn't hate sinners, his indignation and wrath is against sinners because of their sin. His judgement against sin will send the sinner to hell. What keeps them from dying and partaking of his wrath is his grace. Grace, the favor of God we don't deserve, is what gives sinners the opportunity at the dawning of each new day to consider their ways and repent of their and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ.
Disagree that if God loves he also hates. The opposite of love is indifference, not hatred. God is all powerful, He can look on sin or anything at all He pleases. Proverbs 27:4 says "Wrath is cruel, and anger is outrageous..." My God is perfect, and does not have human weaknesses such as wrath, anger, or hatred.
Once again the bible fights against itself, declaring "God hates". Only a false God hates. Bart Ehrman says the bible is only the word of man, not the word of God. I heartily agree!
@k0smon this message must have convicted your soul! Keep searching my friend; God promised that those who seek Him will find Him. Try not to twist Scripture; it will become a hindrance to your seeking!
@Godpleaser77 ::: Conviction is the wrong word, revulsion is more accurate. The scripture is already twisted, and this preacher twists it even more. I have found the perfect God, not the Christian God. I have found a bible that makes much more sense to me than the Christian bible ever did. I seek a spiritual life, not the Christian life. I had that once and found it powerless.
Actually, that's not what I was getting at - I don't disagree that the Bible calls homosexuality sin. What I'm saying is that you fundamentally misunderstand principles of translation and that the Greek word for "reprobate" (as we would understand it) is not found in Romans 1:28.
This could easily turn into a Calvinism/Arminenianism debate . . . Salvation is of the Lord, yet, it says "choose ye this day whom you will serve." So, God, who cannot lie, has given us a choice AND is the author of our salvation, so that - Hebrews 6:18-20. What is he doing at the right hand of the Father? Interceding as Lord of the living and the dead. We all, at one time, "were far off" Eph. 2:13-16. We have been given the ministry of reconciliation - the task of reconciling man to God.
Now when Jesus said "Judge Not" as he did in Matt 7, he meant such situations say if I had a problem lusting after girls or fornicating and then was JUDGING the world for the same sins.
God wants us to be as Godly as possible before we are to Judge the world.
Romans 2 1Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things. 2But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them which commit such things. 3And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God?
You will be JUDGED by the same method that you judge others!
Obviously, if I am not living a VILE same sex lifestyle and I live the SUCCESSFUL lifestyle with my wife and family that GOD ordains and blesses, then it is absolutely fine for me to JUDGE the vile, wicked, abominations that the reprobates in this world are promoting!
The perverts and the FAKE Christians expect us to remain SILENT with our hands tied. Not a chance!
Believers should remember that God has the perfect right to hate sinners, as one who is holy should. Christians, however, do not possess that right. It would be the pinnacle of hypocrisy and evil to judge others in the same exact fashion as God would.
I couldn't imagine worshipping a god that fits this description, even if I knew he existed, which I'm pretty certain he doesn't. It's comical that some people worship a god whom they fear. where's your pride? If he exists and is good, call him God and worship him, if on the other hand he exists and you have to fear him, then he's the devil and you should have the decency not to bow to him.
@ekorre33 Why would you bow do some one at all if you don't fear them? They would be your equal.
If he exists and he is good then you very well should fear him. If you don't you do not understand who or what you are. Pray that God would make sin exceedingly sinful.
@GodGunsGutsGlory777 How many homosexuals, abortionists, or oppressors have you witnessed to? Don't bury the talents of precious gold that were given you in your own hatred.
Most homosexuals are reprobates. By time they get caught up in the lifestyle to the point they FLAUNT it, God hath already "given them over" to their vile affections. (Romans 1:22-30).
@GodGunsGutsGlory777 Usually by the time some one gives that excuse they understand nothing about the nature of God. Who in the 'world' does not flaunt their sinful lifestyle? You like this message because YOU hate sinners. All of them but yourself. You dare to claim the right to judge a soul to damnation? Your ignorance is saddening. Please read your Bible.
Just so you don't think it, no, I do not condone homosexuality or think that you can serve homosexual desires and Christ.
@GodGunsGutsGlory777 Did you go on to read 2:1-4? Not to say that judging them is wrong. but you judge them in their sin, even though at one time YOU were in sin. Though you may not practice these things (1:29-32) at one time you did. Therefore how can you presume to know the fate of a soul?
I am not trolling. God hardened Pharaoh's heart for the betterment of his people Israel, that they would suffer under him and so feel the need to leave. Pharaoh hardened his own heart. a la "given over"
Judging is expected MANY TIMES throughout the Bible.
There was an entire book of the Bible devoted to it.
GOD hardened Pharoah's heart many times as he has other "reprobates" he gave up on.
Do you know that MOST homosexuals (the one's who are out in your face or indoctrinating children, etc) are already reprobate therefore a WASTE to pray for God to save them?
At some point, people become so wicked, and persecute our people so much, that we should just pray for God to SMITE them.
Psalm 58:6-11 (King James Version) 6Break their teeth, O God, in their mouth: break out the great teeth of the young lions, O LORD. 7Let them melt away as waters which run continually: when he bendeth his bow to shoot his arrows, let them be as cut in pieces. 8As a snail which melteth, let every one of them pass away: like the untimely birth of a woman, that they may not see the sun.
... 9Before your pots can feel the thorns, he shall take them away as with a whirlwind, both living, and in his wrath. 10The righteous shall rejoice when he seeth the vengeance: he shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked. 11So that a man shall say, Verily there is a reward for the righteous: verily he is a God that judgeth in the earth.
I am glad to hear you agree they are wicked. That was a test.
I've had some fake Christians troll me, one or two even befriend me, and then find out they support/defend abortion and the gay agenda. Then all out attack me when I refuse to conform/tolerate.
I am glad to hear you agree they are wicked. That was a test.

Glad to know you are not someone trying to defend it.
Anyway... "So NOT all things are possible with God?"
All things are possible. However, when god says "...Romans 1:28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient"
So at that point they are DONE. God ave them over (Barack Obama, etc) and that is when you will notice these vile humans going after strange flesh and attacking Christians at the same time.
... of course MODERN versions of the Bible alter scripture. Subtly it appears by very crafty. And that is such a scripture that is perverted. "Reprobate" or an exact similar meaning is not found in the NIV, etc. But of course the two homosexuals and the satanic publisher of the NIV made sure of that!
@GodGunsGutsGlory777 Actually, modern versions got Rom 1:28 when they speak of a depraved mind. The greek word for what we would now call "reprobate" is not found in the Greek - it's the moral character of the mind in question.
This is not an indictment on the KJV - reprobate did not mean "rejected by God" when the KJV was translated, thus there is no fault there - but a serious warning that insistence on translations that are ~400 years old is not only counter-intuitive, it also...
@GodGunsGutsGlory777 ...belies the fact that language changes over time, and thus you often CAN'T simply read the KJV and take it at face value, because what it meant when it was written will at times be significantly different to how it is understood now, as Rom 1:28, and modern misunderstandings of it in the KJV, show.
If you need an interpreter to read your Bible, you need a new translation.
@GodGunsGutsGlory777 I tend more to look at verses such as Romans 12:14 , and Matt. 5:44 in these situations. No doubt they promote their worldly lifestyle, and attacking Christians is expected. I was once an agnostic, attacking Christians and I had enough knowledge being raised in 'the church' to seriously offend some ones faith / sow doubt. Never the less God was always present convicting me of these things. I cant expect acceptance but I will have faith that God can transformthemiftheyrepent.
I was listening to one of Pastor Anderson's sermons earlier when I was driving, I think entitled Romans 1, & he also read some other interesting scriptures in the Bible covering REPROBATES.
God definitely gives people over at some point when they know of God but not retain God in their knowledge. At that point it seems that there is no coming back. Ever.
There are people who sin and can be saved. But there are WICKED reprobates in this world as well. Obama, Jennings, Nepolitano, etc
... you can tell these people are reprobates because they are so vile that they persecute Christians and everything we stand for. They are the decay in America that was once so God blessed. But not now.
If we kicked perverts like Obama, K. Jennings, J. Nepolitano, Kagan, B. Frank, J. Holdrin, B. Gates, T. Turner, etc to the curb and out of society... God would still bless this nation!
The ONLY hope America has is if someone would rise and JUDGE America and bring the nation back to God!
This is a hard question that I don't have the answer for! I would say me personally I would be quick to confess my sins, and get rid of any hidden or unconfessed sin to make sure I am not in this category!
God loves and hates at the same time. It's not that hard to understand. It may be impossible for the human to love and hate the same person but God does.
about the people in hell right now; will they be taken out at the final judgement to be judged and then thrown back in hell? honest question, can anyone answer according to scripture? also are there people in heaven right now that will be taken out at the judgement and then put back in heaven?
to me this doent make sense and it doesn't go with the scripture ive read. i dont believe there is ANY human in hell or heaven right NOW.
@RefinersFire298 Nothing like this happens. There are not places called heaven nor hell. It is imaginary like Zeus, Aphrodite, Allah. Heaven is an imaginary candy land that has been invented to make people feel better about dying. Please, wake up and control your own life. Try this: In your pursuit of pleasure, cause no pain to any other living being. No need for oppression or lies. Just be good because you should, not because you think you'll get into an imaginary place called heaven.
@RefinersFire298 Be good because you can. Or don't. I don't care enough anymore to argue why someone should be good. Or maybe this:
I don't believe but you do believe. Neither of us can prove nor disprove that there is a creator. You chose faith based wisdom, I chose what science has shown us. We may never agree but we both know how to be kind people. If you chose not to be kind, alright, it's your choice. I no longer care to disprove, I'm just going let it be. Be what you want to be.
@facerfacer dude, science, or the scientific method, cannot even prove that u woke this morning. U knw what can? Circumstantial evidence. Guess what? that same circum. evidence the proves u woke this morn, proves that there is indeed a creator. Guess what else? that same circum evidence proves the case for the resurrection of Jesus . . . no dice bruh
@RefinersFire298 Fair enough question: Revelation 20:11-15 holds the answer. Hell is not the final destination. The lake of fire is the final destination. Hell itself will be cast into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is also the second death. All who are in hell right now will be raised up to appear before the Great White Throne for judgment. All who are not found in the Book of Life will be then cast into the lake of fire-which is the second death.
@RefinersFire298 As for the second part of your question concerning those in heaven. Paul answers this when he speaks in 2 Corinthians 5:6-8 of when we-believers-are absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. When Christ from the cross commended his spirit unto the Father, so it is for all those who have been crucified with Christ. When they die, their spirit is with the Lord, and will receive a new glorified body like unto that which Jesus has when he was resurrected when he returns.
Those verses Conway presented of God supposedly "hating us" are uses of metonymy that describe the action of the sin. For example, when God said He hates a "lying tongue", does that mean He hates the actual physical tongue? No. He''s talking about the sin that the tongue could perform. God loves us regardless of our faults, but it's up to us to accept the salvation that He has given us by truly repenting on our sins and putting our trust in God at all times. God Bless...
@FiliSuperSaiyan21 Psalm 11:5 The LORD examines the righteous, but the wicked and those who love violence his soul hates... therefore, God hates not only the nature of the act but the person who commits the act... we are talking about a person who is not a born again who did not repent, believe or recieve....
Just bc some cannot rationalize God's characteristics doesnt mean that a preacher is wrong, Notice how he contrast these truths with a previous message on heaven and glorious it was, the same with love. Is. 55:9, God is not want mainstream christianity spins. He is Holy and of the Bible, not youth meetings and t shirts. Watch "God is love,is this your God? " Remmeber, God saves because He loves but he hates because he is righteous and the righteous is love. The keeping of his law is love,Pray
It is important that we not only pray to God and read the Bible and follow his guidance and repent, but it is also important that we must have a truly genuine and serious relationship with Jesus Christ, his son and be able to know him better. In fact, that comes first. But remember, if you are a Christian you still sin, but always be knowledgeable that God will never forsake you if you are saved, but will willingly help you to overcome it.
Amen. Paul :Gal 3:24 LAW.He knows God showed his love while we were yet sinners, who is we, the elect. And that love is shown in time to describe the receveiving of Mercy from a God who hates the wicked.Lk1:50, He gives fear(Godly fear), enabling mercy.Rom.9:15,not nations.Titus 3:5 he saves the elect by regeneration. Gviving the holy spirit eenabling faith and repentance. God gives mercy and love, but at the same time Hates the wicked.
This is a sermon that folks can't and won't tolerate to their itching ears. Is it not true that God hates sin? Jonah, Jeremiah & many more prophets preached to repent or the God of wrath would display His anger. We've lost the doctrine of hell in our country & that is why the day of wrath is upon us.
I have never made a YouTube comment, but I for some reason feel the need to express how sad this is. I don't even need to express some high-brow theological viewpoint, this is just ridiculous. "Love your enemy" sound familiar? Are we using Jonathan Edward's as scripture now? This makes me sad.
Hell is looking back on a life spent waiting for an imaginary god to reveal himself. Hell is having to sit through men in cheap suits ranting about their anxieties, an eternity of preaching by men unqualified to speak.
Mmm....I try and believe the gospel but science and rationality and common sense get in the way.
Are you an expert on pride? You seem arrogant, inflated, conceited and judgmental, be careful and repair your ways- you wouldn't want the wrath of god poured out on you for those sins.
The soldier of darkness that I am. Drinking blood to quench our beast. The ignorant sheep are my slaves. It was a long time ago... When I sold my soul to the devil. He shall kill their god and become their new god. Those who refuse, shall be eaten alive. Dragged into the shadows of Hell. Empty Abyss, void of nothingness. Deep inside, devoid of all holy light. I shall serve Satan forever in darkness. As a faithful Demon by his throne. Surrounded by the filth of departed angels.
SO if God hates a sinner than it's impossible for him to have mercy on them Meaning they can't surrender to him or anything do to his hate so strongly against them. This doesn't make sense God loves the sinner first the sinner has to choose who they will serve. God Draws us we can't choose to love God if he don't love us first Thats fact.
Your God is nto the God of the Bible im sorry to say it, he is a god you have created, a wishy washy grandpa in the sky who loves everyone and hates nothing. Read the Scriptures Psalm 5:5, Psalm 45:7, Romans 9:13, Psalm 11:5, Prov. 6:16-19 If you need more there is plenty. You cant pick and choose the Scriptures you like and ignore the tough ones.
God doesn't change, but his plan for salvation does. In the old pact salvation was connected to the law, in the new pact salvation is connected to Jesus. It is crystal clear through the four gospels how Jesus Christ our Lord loves sinners and if we can find that He "hates" anybody, it's the Scholars and Pharisees.
I love a lot of Tim Conway's preaching, but I do think he missed the mark on this one. I also have tons of respect for your street preaching, very currageous!
not all saved, we know there is Hell, and Jesus said many will go there and few will find the way to heaven! so you have to qualify the words "World" or "All" in the bible. It's a figure of language, what about John 12:19?"So the Pharisees said to one another, "See, this is getting us nowhere. Look how THE WHOLE WORLD has gone after him!". Was the whole World after Jesus? No, you have to Qualify the world brothers and sisters.
I've read somwhere that "Wolrd" in Greek has 6 meanings... and in John 3:16 it relates to the "world" or group of those who would believe and become His sons&daughters thru Jesus Christ.. so it wouldnt relate to the "whole world" as understood in English but to the "world" of those who will believe...
Greek is a very "rich" language.
John 3:16 is maybe the most overused and abused scripture???
We know that 's not true. It's a figure of language, it doesn't mean the whole world. You have to compare scripture with scripture. That's how God wanted it to be so that we would read His entire Word and not just few verses here and there. John 3:16 " for God so loved the WORLD that he gave his one and only Son, that WHOSOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM should not perish, but have everlasting life. WORLD is
Justin: This is a comment that is very much missing an understanding of what the Bible teaches. Don't you know not all people are God's Children? John 1 "But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born not of blood, not of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man but of God." See not all people are children of God and they do not "chose" God...it's His will, not the will of the flesh. This man speaks truth.
How could a sinner choose to love God if he hates them. Could a parent hate their own child If so the parent would be evil Do we love god first or does God love us first????
God so Loved the World---this contradicts the preachers words. This minister has strayed from the word on this subject. For God so loved---Not--God so hated the World. We all deserved death--but he loved us. Anyone can try to twist old testament passages. God loves us--He hates the Sin. Oh, how far have we strayed to preach our own misdirections.
All I know--if God did not love us and hate our sins---how could anyone be saved ? God would pour his wrath on us. He saved us because He loved us. Any one goes beyond and twist the scriptures.... we stray.
This Tim Conway quotes from Jonathan Edwards instead of the bible to make his point. Unfortunately Jonathan Edwards contradicts the bible and the character of God.
I Love Children so There For i HATE ABORTION GOD LOVES BECAUSE HE IS LOVE HE LOVES YOU BUT HATES SIN so does he Love a Sinner Well we are ALL SINNERS soo i Believe GOD IS JUSTIFIED IN CRUSIFYING JESUS WITH ALL MY SIN PAST PRESENT AND FUTURE and i MUST BELIEVE and SAY TO MYSELF MY SIN WAS WRONG and i dont want to do it so why do i Do it?
this is man with hate in his heart, this is not YAHWEH.man dont have the same love in their hearts as YAHWEH so they can not forgive sin,(Matthew 23:37).Jesus said His affection for the lost inhabitants of Jerusalem was like a mother hens affection for her chicks. Such a statement obviously denotes love for the sinners in Jerusalem. Dont trust a man that talks of a YAHWEH that hates. John 3:16 YAHWEH sent his Son into this world for the sinners.
Yes, God dose hate Sinners, what you must realise that there are two types of sin.. 1 John 5:16-17 If anyone sees his brother commit a sin that does not lead to death, he should pray and God will give him life. I refer to those whose sin does not lead to death. There is a sin that leads to death. I am not saying that he should pray about that. All wrongdoing is sin, and there is sin that does not lead to death...
so what is the sin that leads to death and the sin that dose not lead to death?
The sin that dose not lead to death is when i as a born again who have been saved i stumble in sin, i come to realise i have sinned and i repent of my sin.
the Sin that dose lead to death is the sin of the sinner who is not saved, who dose not repent of his sin, who is not a born again, who do not accept jesus into his/her life...
Yes, as jt55106 said John 3:16 however brother/sister read this verse carefully...
"for God so loved the world that he gave His only Son (yes he loved the (Yes, loved)..."that WHOEVER believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life" therefore God did not die for all.. God died for those who have and who will Believe and recieve Him....Jesus Christ saved me from the wrath of God which i deserve but he saved me.. therefore, who dose not accept, believe and recieve Jesus Christ, they will face the wrath of God...
Acts 17:11 they searched the sciptures daily, whether those thing were so. read John 3:16 "believeth" John 10:11 "died for the sheep" John 14:21. if not a sheep, John 3:36, Luke 13:3 Rom. 3:18 God bless.
Blessed be to GOD ... this is so very true! We must listen and learn GOD's voice and listen to HIM for HE will direct and guide us upon the narrow way. GOD bless you Pastor Tim. This is a very blessed message, an eye opening message. Heed GOD first, last, and always ... HE is a righteous GOD slow to anger but righteous in HIS judgment of each of us. Repent sincerely, go and sin no more (John 8:1-12), pray diligently one for an other unceasingly. 8^)>
God may not be able to look at sin but his son can. He became sin for us. He sat and ate with sinners and became their friend. We have a savior now....un like they did in the old Testiment times.
God loved us so much he gave us something called free will. If we chose to turn our back on him its our fault not his. God may hate the sinner but God sent his one and only son on earth to die for ALL of us. Jesus Christ Our Lord is willing to save anyone that wants to be saved. but we have to go through him first. If we just give up on the sinners then we wont be doing our job as christians cause Jesus Christ sent us out to spread his word to ALL.
If he had a severely twisted view of God, then how come hundreds of people were saved because of it? Clearly your conscience is disturbed, and you dislike the idea of true repentance. Whom the Lord loveth, He also chasteneth. The Christian life isn't a pleasureful party 24/7.
The grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men without distinction of age, sex, or social standing. The term "all men," in this context, does not mean each and every individual.
This is your opinion that "all men" only means "some men". The scripture does not say all "types" of men, or all "classes" of men, or all "sorts" of men.
It simply says all men.
When it comes to God, I believe He is is talking about all men in those contexts.
Romans 5:18-19. All were condemned by the act of one man and all will be made righteous by the act of another man. So THE MANY were made sinners and THE MANY will be made righteous.
Rather it "describes individual classes, or various ranks of life. And this is not a little emphatic, that the grace of God that let itself down even to the race of slaves; for, since God does not despise men of the lowest and most degraded condition, it would be highly unreasonable that we should be negligent and slothful to embrace his goodness"
The grace of God is special and distinguishing, designed only for those chosen to be holy and without blame in Christ "before the foundation of the world" (Eph. 1:4). Christ's redemption is particular not universal, definite not indefinite, actual not hypothetical.
Boom, Im not sure if you answered this already but I just havea question. Are you a Universalist? If not, then in what way does God save all men, according to 1Tim4:10?
Do actual Bible STUDY, as this is the historical context the reformation offered. The Greek word pas in this instance means "collectively; some of all types".
In order to do actual bible study, you must realize that the greek word "aion" which has been mistranslated as "eternal" in most bibles, only means an age of limited (but possibly unknown) duration.
All ages will end, but ultimately everyone will live on due to being made immortal (1 Cor 15).
Read merciful-truth(.)com for a good study on this.
Universalists are clearly a cult, and I am not certain if they are even saved. They spit in God's face by discarding His justice. Hell DOES exist. I saw your profile, which offered no exegesis of 1 Timothy 4:10.
Yes, God is the savior of all men. This is called common grace, and is backed up by Scripture. But the ultimate saving grace is for those in Christ Jesus.
Lu 14:26 "If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple."
He also says to love your enemies.
And the golden rule is to love others as you love yourself.
These are not contradictions.
You must learn the meaning of hate as used in the Bible.
God hates though. Read Psalm 5:5. God loves, but He also hates. He loves those in Christ, even if we sin because we are LEGALLY JUSTIFIED IN HIS SIGHT.
But the unrepentant sinner God HATES. Get that through your thick skull and stop trying to explain away and pervert God and His majestic WRATH AND JUSTICE. AMEN.
"Be ye angry and not sin"
I love my neighbor, but I also can be angry at wickedness.
In John 3:16 the Greek word for "world" which is "kosmos" is "of believers only" in context, which even the Greek scholar cited John 3:16 next to this definition to clear up confusion
"Believeth" defines what world is. If God loved the entire world since Adam to now, then He would be a schizophrenic because not everyone is saved. And God never fails to save the ones He loves.
kosmos = of believers only huh? Check out 1 john 2
:2 He is the propitiation not just for our sins, but for the sins of the whole of believers only?
:15 Do not love the "of believers only" or anything in the "of believers only." If anybody loves the "of believers only" the love of the Father is not in Him.
Never realized that kosmos meant that... it sure makes more sense than it meaning mankind. That sure isn't eisegesis at all. Thank you for opening my mind to scripture.
But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked. (Luke 6:35)
Jn 3:15-18That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
If god hates the sinner. Then he must hate everybody. In Romans 3:23 it says that all have come short of gods glory. It says in Matthew 9:13 that Jesus came for the sinner and not the righteous. In 1John 4:8 " He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love." If he really hated sinners then why would be sacrifice his only Son to die on the cross for us. That is not an act of hate.
John 17:9 says... 9I pray for them: "I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine." Jesus is indeed 100% love but he is also 100% wrath. Did you even listen to the sermon in this clip? Here try this,Google "God hates the sinner" and see how many clear cut scriptures you can find. There are so many scriptures that point the the fact that God hates the sinner and the sin. Oh God is Love for sure but you can not have love without hate.
the devil is the spirit that represents all that is evil. when things like 9/11 and earhquakes happen, it is the work of evil not god. god and the devil and symbolic. there is no hell where you burn. hell is how your soul feels on earth when you do wrong and evil. heaven is how your soul feels on earth when you do good and help people. when you die, you go to heaven with the people you love, and you will be at peace, and away from "hell" which is actually our world today
Jesus would certainly disagree,He taught more about Hell than Heaven.Hell is such a horrible place as a matter of fact, that Jesus had to die for our sins so we could escape this horrible place.!
So he spend more time quoting Jonathan Edwards than he did scripture...perhaps that is his problem.

Gothxha 5 months ago
@Gothxha When will His wrath be put upon the sinners? In this life or the afterlife?
SwordofManticorE 2 months ago
GET THIS THROUGH YOUR HEADS, you who believe this praching. that God HATES THE SINNER is hyperbole, a exaggeration to make a point. It expresses STRONG DISAPPROVAL which is worlds apart from hatred.
hyperbole is something the Hebrew scriptures are full of.
If these passages are not hyperbole, are to be taken literally, then God's love is not only not better than men, it is worse. it is no love at all
this man is in GRAVE danger. he denies the lord who sent him. He WILL meet wrath
Strefanasha 5 months ago
@Strefanasha God hates sin, sin comes originally comes from satan. God loves us all, but He is not pleased thats for sure! with people who carry on in sin.... so if one continues to sin you are not a child of God... it says this in the bible. So think about it a little deeper and you might just get there.
savana906 3 months ago
because I have believed filth like this I have never believed that God loves, EVEN THOUGH He showed me his love when i was converted.
If God hates sinners, and this is NOT hyperbole then God plays favourites, is a "respecter or persons".
God's wrath is definitely upon those who preach lke this.
He preaches hell because he has nothing else.
"God hates you"????
this is the blasphemy that naive literalist fundamentalism leads to.

Also you should read in Hosea 1:1-4
life1517 8 months ago
@life1517 But that verse is talking about specific people. God's people. God does love the sinner but hate the sin when it comes to those that are his. What this video is disproving is the popular teaching of most churches today that teach God hates the sin but loves the sinner as just a general teaching meant for every single person, but that is not what the Bible teaches.

God wants us to love him, that's why he loves us.
life1517 9 months ago
@life1517 In 1John4:10, propitiation is what appeases the wrath of God for the redeemed. SO who are those whom He loved? Those whom John is writing to ...the Saved who were propitiated for. Those who dont accept Him do not get their sins taken away do they? US=REDEEMED uS DOESNT MEAN EVERYONE
Romans 5:8-In v1 who are those being spoken to? Those who are JUSTIFIED not everyone. v8 while who were yet sinners? THE ELECT Not the condemned.Dont know what the golden rule has to do with God loving
bigbadwolff1 8 months ago
@life1517 God does love the sinner, but he also hates them. Since he is God, he can do both. As humans, we cannot, in my opinion. Therefore, we love sinners, but God hates them as well as loves them. Psalm 5:5 "You (God) hate all who do wrong."
kfed1991 7 months ago
@life1517 well said. this preaching is indeed blasphemy. they do it as they see love abused and twisted. so instead of coming to God personally, which is the only way to be transformed (IN PERSON) they deny the Love.
Strefanasha 5 months ago
How can God let the sinner live and give him so many blessings, unless He loves him? There is a kind of love between God and sinners. We call it the “love of benevolence.” That means the love of good will. Benevolens — willing well. Doing well. God can do well to the sinner without loving him with the other kind of love. “Complacent love,” a pleasure in, affection for, admiration of. It exists in perfection between the Father and the Son, “in whom I am well pleased” (Matt.3:17; Mk.1:11).

MrCDII 10 months ago
Disagree that if God loves he also hates. The opposite of love is indifference, not hatred. God is all powerful, He can look on sin or anything at all He pleases. Proverbs 27:4 says "Wrath is cruel, and anger is outrageous..." My God is perfect, and does not have human weaknesses such as wrath, anger, or hatred.
Once again the bible fights against itself, declaring "God hates". Only a false God hates. Bart Ehrman says the bible is only the word of man, not the word of God. I heartily agree!

Actually, that's not what I was getting at - I don't disagree that the Bible calls homosexuality sin. What I'm saying is that you fundamentally misunderstand principles of translation and that the Greek word for "reprobate" (as we would understand it) is not found in Romans 1:28.
MattinatorHax 1 year ago
This could easily turn into a Calvinism/Arminenianism debate . . . Salvation is of the Lord, yet, it says "choose ye this day whom you will serve." So, God, who cannot lie, has given us a choice AND is the author of our salvation, so that - Hebrews 6:18-20. What is he doing at the right hand of the Father? Interceding as Lord of the living and the dead. We all, at one time, "were far off" Eph. 2:13-16. We have been given the ministry of reconciliation - the task of reconciling man to God.

Believers should remember that God has the perfect right to hate sinners, as one who is holy should. Christians, however, do not possess that right. It would be the pinnacle of hypocrisy and evil to judge others in the same exact fashion as God would.

It's comical that some people worship a god whom they fear. where's your pride? @700bees
Oh I've "witnessed" to those VILE people before.
Most homosexuals are reprobates. By time they get caught up in the lifestyle to the point they FLAUNT it, God hath already "given them over" to their vile affections. (Romans 1:22-30).
At that point, no one can save them.
GodGunsGutsGlory777 1 year ago
@GodGunsGutsGlory777 Usually by the time some one gives that excuse they understand nothing about the nature of God. Who in the 'world' does not flaunt their sinful lifestyle? You like this message because YOU hate sinners. All of them but yourself. You dare to claim the right to judge a soul to damnation? Your ignorance is saddening. Please read your Bible.
Just so you don't think it, no, I do not condone homosexuality or think that you can serve homosexual desires and Christ.
700bees 1 year ago

GOD says they are "reprobate minds" given over to their "Vile Affections".
If you believed in God's words, you would understand that.

... you know. As busy as I am I didn't look and assumed you're just a troll attacking me (the homosexuals use these same arguments).
I may have been a little quick (harsh) but I stand by all the TRUTH that I said.
Seriously, read the scriptures. If God gives one over to their "reprobate mind" then there is nothing you or I can do to save them.
In the Bible you will note MANY times when God "hardened" someone's heart. Like the Pharaoh in Egypt. Not even Moses was able to save him after that.
GodGunsGutsGlory777 1 year ago
@GodGunsGutsGlory777 Did you go on to read 2:1-4? Not to say that judging them is wrong. but you judge them in their sin, even though at one time YOU were in sin. Though you may not practice these things (1:29-32) at one time you did. Therefore how can you presume to know the fate of a soul?
I am not trolling. God hardened Pharaoh's heart for the betterment of his people Israel, that they would suffer under him and so feel the need to leave. Pharaoh hardened his own heart. a la "given over"
700bees 1 year ago
@700bees

GodGunsGutsGlory777 1 year ago
... of course MODERN versions of the Bible alter scripture. Subtly it appears by very crafty. And that is such a scripture that is perverted. GodGunsGutsGlory777 1 year ago
MattinatorHax 1 year ago
@GodGunsGutsGlory777 ...belies the fact that language changes over time, and thus you often CAN'T simply read the KJV and take it at face value, because what it meant when it was written will at times be significantly different to how it is understood now, as Rom 1:28, and modern misunderstandings of it in the KJV, show.
If you need an interpreter to read your Bible, you need a new translation.

GodGunsGutsGlory777 1 year ago

@RefinersFire298 Fair enough question: Revelation 20:11-15 holds the answer. Hell is not the final destination. The lake of fire is the final destination. Hell itself will be cast into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is also the second death. All who are in hell right now will be raised up to appear before the Great White Throne for judgment. All who are not found in the Book of Life will be then cast into the lake of fire-which is the second death.
HermitintheRain 1 year ago

@FiliSuperSaiyan21 Psalm 11:5 The LORD examines the righteous, but the wicked and those who love violence his soul hates... therefore, God hates not only the nature of the act but the person who commits the act... we are talking about a person who is not a born again who did not repent, believe or recieve....
wandrawis1 1 year ago
@FiliSuperSaiyan21 So when God says he loves Jacob, is that a metonymy? No. It is in parallel with Esau I hated. Jacob I loved, but Esau I hated.

Yes.

JustinOsbo 2 years ago
Yes, God really loves the sinner and hates the sin!
The whole Bible is saturated with this, don't twist single texts, the study of 21 hate-stories he refers to is worthless compared to the whole Bible.

Only OT... Even Romans is a quote from OT. Why don't you give an example of how Jesus Christ himself hates sinners? Sinners like Zaccheus...
Graserassen 2 years ago
Does God change from old testament to new? if He does than that would me He was imperfect before and is getting better?
jaykarroll 2 years ago
God doesn't change, but his plan for salvation does. In the old pact salvation was connected to the law, in the new pact salvation is connected to Jesus. It is crystal clear through the four gospels how Jesus Christ our Lord loves sinners and if we can find that He "hates" anybody, it's the Scholars and Pharisees.
I love a lot of Tim Conway's preaching, but I do think he missed the mark on this one. I also have tons of respect for your street preaching, very currageous!
Graserassen 2 years ago
not all saved, we know there is Hell, and Jesus said many will go there and few will find the way to heaven! so you have to qualify the words "World" or "All" in the bible. It's a figure of language, what about John 12:19?"So the Pharisees said to one another, "See, this is getting us nowhere. Look how THE WHOLE WORLD has gone after him!". Was the whole World after Jesus? No, you have to Qualify the world brothers and sisters.

stopnthink777- hey Man :-)
I've read somwhere that "Wolrd" in Greek has 6 meanings... and in John 3:16 it relates to the "world" or group of those who would believe and become His sons&daughters thru Jesus Christ.. so it wouldnt relate to the "whole world" as understood in English but to the "world" of those who will believe...
Greek is a very "rich" language.
John 3:16 is maybe the most overused and abused scripture???
God bless :-)
gr8deals2do 2 years ago

God so Loved the World---this contradicts the preachers words. This minister has strayed from the word on this subject. For God so loved---Not--God so hated the World. this is man with hate in his heart, this is not YAHWEH.man dont have the same love in their hearts as YAHWEH so they can not forgive sin,(Matthew 23:37).Jesus said His affection for the lost inhabitants of Jerusalem was like a mother hens affection for her chicks. Such a statement obviously denotes love for the sinners in Jerusalem. Dont trust a man that talks of a YAHWEH that hates. John 3:16 YAHWEH sent his Son into this world for the sinners.
jt55106 2 years ago
Yes, God dose hate Sinners, what you must realise that there are two types of sin.. 1 John 5:16-17 If anyone sees his brother commit a sin that does not lead to death, he should pray and God will give him life. I refer to those whose sin does not lead to death. There is a sin that leads to death. I am not saying that he should pray about that. All wrongdoing is sin, and there is sin that does not lead to death...
so what is the sin that leads to death and the sin that dose not lead to death?
wandrawis1 2 years ago
The sin that dose not lead to death is when i as a born again who have been saved i stumble in sin, i come to realise i have sinned and i repent of my sin.
the Sin that dose lead to death is the sin of the sinner who is not saved, who dose not repent of his sin, who is not a born again, who do not accept jesus into his/her life...
Yes, as jt55106 said John 3:16 however brother/sister read this verse carefully...

Jonathan Edwards had a severely twisted view of God.
Scripture says:
Psalm 145:9 The LORD is good to all; he has compassion on all he has made.
17 The LORD is righteous in all his ways and loving toward all he has made.
Titus 2:11 God has shown us how kind he is by coming to SAVE ALL PEOPLE.
God hates the wicked, thats why He will turn them and cause them to repent.

The term "all men," in this context, does not mean each and every individual.
flowingknowledgeglow 2 years ago
This is your opinion that "all men" only means "some men". The scripture does not say all "types" of men, or all "classes" of men, or all "sorts" of men.
It simply says all men.
When it comes to God, I believe He is is talking about all men in those contexts.
Romans 5:18-19. All were condemned by the act of one man and all will be made righteous by the act of another man. So THE MANY were made sinners and THE MANY will be made righteous.
Its the same group: ALL = sinners & ALL = saved.
boom72erang 2 years ago
Rather it "describes individual classes, or various ranks of life. And this is not a little emphatic, that the grace of God that let itself down even to the race of slaves; for, since God does not despise men of the lowest and most degraded condition, it would be highly unreasonable that we should be negligent and slothful to embrace his goodness"
flowingknowledgeglow 2 years ago
The grace of God is special and distinguishing, designed only for those chosen to be holy and without blame in Christ "before the foundation of the world" (Eph. 1:4). Christ's redemption is particular not universal, definite not indefinite, actual not hypothetical.

Hi 2rowsChannel,

Do actual Bible STUDY, as this is the historical context the reformation offered. The Greek word pas in this instance means "collectively; some of all types".
flowingknowledgeglow 2 years ago
In order to do actual bible study, you must realize that the greek word "aion" which has been mistranslated as "eternal" in most bibles, only means an age of limited (but possibly unknown) duration.
All ages will end, but ultimately everyone will live on due to being made immortal (1 Cor 15).
Read merciful-truth(.)com for a good study on this.
boom72erang 2 years ago
Universalists are clearly a cult, and I am not certain if they are even saved. They spit in God's face by discarding His justice. Hell DOES exist. I saw your profile, which offered no exegesis of 1 Timothy 4:10.
Yes, God is the savior of all men. This is called common grace, and is backed up by Scripture. But the ultimate saving grace is for those in Christ Jesus.
You are perverting the beauty of God's Word.

Lu 14:26 "If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple."

Why in the bible does it have 21 verses that say God hates sinners then?
Xavier350 2 years ago
I don't want to read something that perverts the Word. You apply your own meaning to verses without context or application of Greek definitions.
God displays His love in ways to everyone on Earth, but His love towards the elect is different.
flowingknowledgeglow 2 years ago
God hates though. Read Psalm 5:5. God loves, but He also hates. He loves those in Christ, even if we sin because we are LEGALLY JUSTIFIED IN HIS SIGHT.
But the unrepentant sinner God HATES. Get that through your thick skull and stop trying to explain away and pervert God and His majestic WRATH AND JUSTICE. AMEN.

So does 3:16 not mean anything?
hpsmart 2 years ago
In John 3:16 the Greek word for "world" which is "kosmos" is "of believers only" in context, which even the Greek scholar cited John 3:16 next to this definition to clear up confusion
"Believeth" defines what world is. If God loved the entire world since Adam to now, then He would be a schizophrenic because not everyone is saved. And God never fails to save the ones He loves.
flowingknowledgeglow 2 years ago
kosmos = of believers only huh? Check out 1 john 2
:2 He is the propitiation not just for our sins, but for the sins of the whole of believers only?
:15 Do not love the "of believers only" or anything in the "of believers only." If anybody loves the "of believers only" the love of the Father is not in Him.
Never realized that kosmos meant that... it sure makes more sense than it meaning mankind. That sure isn't eisegesis at all. Thank you for opening my mind to scripture.

That is not an act of hate.

the devil is the spirit that represents all that is evil. when things like 9/11 and earhquakes happen, it is the work of evil not god. god and the devil and symbolic. there is no hell where you burn. hell is how your soul feels on earth when you do wrong and evil. heaven is how your soul feels on earth when you do good and help people. when you die, you go to heaven with the people you love, and you will be at peace, and away from "hell" which is actually our world today
