Once again another great lecture by Sheikh Anwar Awlaki (may Allah shower his mercy on his soul), but one question what has this got to do with Deobandis? The Sheikh did not aim the lecture at the scolars who follow the school of Deoband

The Sheikh aimed at the importance and love of sunnah from Abu bakr despite having all sahaba having a different view. The deobandis reject or oppose any sunnah that goes against their sect. They prefer their sect more than the Sunnah.

Madhabs have become a replacement for Sunnah. People do not refer back to Allah and his Messenger anymore. Instead they refer back to their Imam. This is no doubt Shirk.

u'll be surprised to know that deobandi scholars themselves regard "preferance of madhab over quran and sunnah" to be shirk but at the same time they do it as well. And then when we tell them this is shirk then they beat their drums and say "ghair muqallid says following madhab is Shirk". I'll make a video on this subject soon inshaAllah with proof. @LifewithAllah You know if you read the history of how these madhabs came about. It was all for political reasons and nothing to do with preserving Islamic rulings.

The imams wanted to control the population and they introduced concepts like taqleed and fabricated ahadith about obeying the scholars and how ijtihad is only for mujtahids etc. All the evil nonsense they adopted from Judaism and Christianity.

brother as i see things, the deobandis have mixed taqleed with madhab. Following a school of thought or madhab is always in the light of Quran and Sunnah. Blind following taqleed e shakhsi or taqleed e mutlaq which the deobandis do is certainly haraam and has nothing to do with Islam. They play this game to fool people so brother i advise u the same that school of thought and taqleed are different things. What u r mentioning about is taqleed.

Hanafi, shafee, hanbali, maliki and ahlul hadeeth are the 5 madhaahib. The blind scholars of this sect always say "4 imams 4 madhab and 4 etc", in reality its 5 which their elders also admit and the 5 madhab acc to them is the madhab of Ahlul hadeeth, and ibn taymiyyah says that there was a madhab before the 4 madhahib and that was the madhab of the sahaba. So the 5th madhab is the madhab of sahaba or Ahlul hadeeth. No wonder all gr8 salafs said that Ahlul hadeeth is the saved sect.

@LifewithAllah Well if you look at the actual meaning of the word "madhab" - it means doctrine or creed. So the real application of madhab is that every sect is a madhab. That is how to properly use the word. But unfortunately, people left the language and innovated their own meanings.

In reality, ALL madhabs are misguided. Because the Prophet never gave any authority to invent new ways or ideas to approach the Deen. There is only one correct madhab. And the rest are false.

WalykumAssalaam akhi, following a madhab with in the light of Quran and Sunnah is nothing wrong inshaAllah but Blindly following it like Deobandis and barelvis want u to do then that is something which is really very dangerous. Insha Allah i'll make a detailed video of their brand of taqleed which can lead to kufr and shirk very easily. But following a madhab with in the boundaries of Quran and Sunnah then no problem should be there inshaAllah.

Brother, if u r referring to blind following then may i ask who was a blind follower from the Salaf Saleheen? Remember, there is nothing wrong in following a madhab "in the light of Quran and Sunnah". Secondly, dear brother do u know which madhab or group is regarded as the victorious group or saved sect by the salaf saliheen such as Imam Bukhari, imam ahmed bin hanbal and others etc? Do u know ?
