Excellent video! The reason French flair has all but disappeared has a lot to do with the speed at which modern players can get back into defensive positions. Watch the video again and notice how many defenders are slow to get behind the breakdown once the initial break has been made, these opportunities simply do not exist in the modern international game.
Having said that, I hope we see some French flair in the final this weekend, if any team can upset the odds..........

Before I saw this I thought too many teams get away with forward passes in rugby but now I see that it was actually far bigger problem not so long ago. Also just thought I'd point out the music in the second part of the video is Irish, which seems a bit of an odd choice.

France certainly has the potential to reach a World Cup Final and walk away with it, but ill-discipline always lets the Tri-Colores down. Dommage ! I don't see anyone beating the All Blacks on their own turf. They have too much firepower.

Avant l'avènement du professionnalisme, nous avions en bleu des mecs normaux, ils avaient des boulots, au café du coin ou encore à l'usine, un peu de gras et des poils...
Et puis le jeu avait une réelle fluidité notamment derrière!
Maintenant on a des bourrins bodybuildés intégralement épilés... dont on cherche le "flair", cet instinct, cette inspiration qui nous offrait ces fabuleuses envolées!!!

Unbelievable, I've heard guys like Mark Ella and David Campese say that when the French really play, they play the most exciting rugby in the world. This stuff is absolutely breathtaking. It almost brought tears to my eyes, Sella, Blanco what legends. Viva le France.
