Awesome controller, and Max for Live put the work in, but I am also very happy with the APC40. The APC40 with the Nativekontrol presets is sufficient to handle all the applications of Live. If you have the Lemur with Mu you are probably very happy with it. I would love to check it out hands on, however I don't feel like I am lacking anything with the APC40...Real faders and endless encoders are a powerful advantage for Live and with the Nativekontrol presets, there is nothing you can't do.

I think the (Mu) max for live plugin is the right way to connect software and hardware. And certainly there will follow much more max for live plugins.

@Scrubsobsession I agree partially; The lemur is way too expensive, but the iPad is not going to be the one taking over and fulfulling those needs (unless you mean having the iPad controlling something that happens on a different computer). Fortunately, there are several other multitouch tablet-PCs on their way which will be strong enough to use Ableton and serve as a multitouch-screen controller.

ya with a tiny little launch button on the clips? You'll need some kind of different interface for Live, you wont be able to touch a volume fader and adjust it if it's that damn small..
