  • Wow Fucking ugly slanted eyes!

  • She makes everything look so easy (:

  • "The level of purity in her skating is high. Of course, I haven't seen Yu-Na's skating LIVE, but just by watching through Youtube, I can feel it. There are class and quality in skating. The reason Yu-Na's skating is special is because of the innocence and that authentic feeling you can only get when it's without any blemishes. She's also musical, and at times, the way she delivers the drama is so strong that it shakes the audience. More than anything else, her technicality is

  • unbelievably accurate. Being able to jump like that is the proof of how much she has practiced." -1984, 1988 Olympic Champion Katrina Witt

"There is no need to go to museum or gallery. Yu-Na Kim herself is like a painting or sculpture at a museum. Yu-Na has reached the level of divine. On ice, she is like a goddess who descended from the heavens. She makes it look so effortless and easy. With other skaters, you can see how hard they are trying. The gap is too big." - French Commentator

  • @rjsrkdgodqhrdusdk yep some of her programs are like renaissance paintings that will never be forgotten by figure skating fans, recorded for all to enjoy. all future great female figure skaters will be compared to her because she pushed the bar higher.

  • These are some of the comments to a Japanese skater Mao Asada's video. I would like to know how you think.

    >dirty Japan money

    >Mao Asada is too ugly!!! She looks like a boy on ice!!! No face expression!!!

    >Precisely, I agree with you her depth of facial expressions are utterly deplorable.

    >fucking asada ww

    >Now Mao can become a pornstar like the rest of Japan's std infected population... dirty japs

  • Hi figure skating lovers. I love figure skating too and see a lot of videos in YouTube. I noticed that there are many insulting comments to Japanese skaters' videos. I mean a comment like "(Name of the skater)'s mother is a prostitute." This is a very bad thing to do. I hope you think the same.

  • @JakeK950 Korea ?

  • @JakeK950 South Korea

  • @JakeK950 // Check it out at 0:14. I think you didn't watch the video at all. ;-(

  • far out from breaking the 200 point make to getting over 20 points more than it :O this girl is just amazing <3 cannot believe it

  • Unbelievable performance, it tops them all...great commentary also.

  • she moves flawlessly... amazing

  • what is the maximum score that one can reach?

  • @u4ism There's not cap per se like the 6.0 system. The highest right now is by Patrick Chan and it's in the 270's, total combined score.

  • @u4ism 6.0 is the highest and 4.0 is the lowest :D

  • @MiladyMiyo21 Thanks

  • Yuna Kim, there is a problem with you. You are way too beautiful and elegant. So please stay that way <3 LOVE YOU LOVE YOU LOVE YOU <3

  • Yes!! This is 'Queen Yuna'!! She's a living legend for me. Thank you.

  • I can't wait for the next Winter Olympics, hoping she'll participate again.

  • Wow Wow Wow, Amazing! When she skates backwards it's like she's flying over the ice! she is called Queen Yu-Na for a reason, so Elegant. Mystifying skater, she deserved that medal more than everyone else :)

  • "My favorite painters are Kandinsky and Klimt.……I lose my breath and get tongue-tied whenever I see his painting. Same with watching Yu-Na's skating. I cannot express in words the things she brings to the ice. There is no adjective that can adequately describe the beauty of her skating.

When I saw Yu-Na for the first time at Ljublijana in 2006, not only did I see a girl who could skate exceptionally. but I knew that this girl would lead the sport of figure skating for the next 10 years.

  • And at some point, I realized that she had stopped skating, but was actually flying.

From a shy girl with braces to being a mesmerizing bond girl, Yu-Na has never taken a single step backward. Every single year, she has progressed and developed to almost a shocking degree, and I hope that she can fly even higher. As a fan of Yu-Na Kim, I hope that she can give many more memorable performances that the entire world will treasure.

  • I think she can do it. To seduce and spellbind the entire world, and to open a new dimension in figure skating and lead us to a new world." - German commentator Hendryk Schamberger, March 28, 2010(at the Torino World Championship Gala)

  • I'm so proud of her as a Korean...

  • If you watch the NBC, Australian, and BBC commentaries of this program ALL the commentators scream "YES, WOW!" when she does her last triple lutz!

  • @muscleboi4use where I can find Australian commentaries please?

  • love the commentator says, "program of beauty, technical quality..done to perfection. absolutely gorgeous." "beat that if you can.":))

  • @akyinum44 Agreed! Yuna was just light years ahead of everyone else in this competition despite the fact that everyone skated well too! =)

  • @allenglandlawns hahah...she is! personally think no one can overskate her if she won't make mistakes. even if she competes all the ladies legends and best skaters in history and present, though different rules but stil.:) JMHO.

  • @akyinum44 The Commentator is the great Robin Cousins, 1980 Olympic Gold medallist... and he KNOWS what he is talking about... I agree with you... this program and performance was perfect. Under the old scoring system a 6.0 moment for sure!

  • @muscleboi4use thank you for the info and for agreeing. apparently, i don't know him.

  • Masterpiece. She's truly something else..

  • 12 persons are very jalous, but we do not care. Yu-Na is the best.

  • She surely defines perfection.

  • The best ladies program ever performed.

  • @eternalN01queenyuna 보통 유투브 아이디가 없으니까 그렇져.....

  • The Ladies event was really wonderful. Yu-na Kim (KOR) was by far the best.

She was so superior that the competition was for second place only. Skating to George Gershwin's Piano Concerto in F Major, Kim was insuperable in combining speed, athleticism and grace. Her jumps are of the highest technical quality, properly started at full speed and landed without any visible effort.

  • But what makes her so captivating is her presentation, the way she uses her arms, her head and her body while skating on deep edges. She is as light as a feather. She is breathtaking on the ice, a real marvel. Yu-na is in a class of her own, on another planet, as I think of her. She had one of the greatest performances in figure skating history. by Sonia Bianchetti

  • yuna kim is cool , chinas best skater

  • @Love4SK God..KOREAN, not Chineese!

  • @Love4SK

Idiotic and Ignorant. Since when was Kim a Chinese last name?

    -_-

  • Don't get me wrong, this is excellent and deserved the gold medal, however, compaired to Mao Asada (whom I was not a fan of until this season) this is slow, measured and clean, but not passionate, technically thrilling, or memorable. The music is good, but not tense or desperate. Even if Asada landed her triple toe or did her second triple flip, Kim still had this, but just like Bereznaya and Siklaralidze, a program with a glaring mistake still was more moving than "perfection"

  • @RustDemon79 Interesting. To me, Asada was so clearly pushing her program. Kim was living hers. Artistically Kim was a better match in both the short and longand technically this is just incredible. Akiko Suzuki had the best long program last season, in my mind. But between Kim and Asada, there's no contest.

  • @RustDemon79 You've got it all wrong- Asada was the one who was slow, measured, yet not clean. Mao had put on passion (face slaps???), still can't do a clean lutz, and was overwhelmed by the music. Yuna's, on the other hand, is supposed to be a languid, jazzy piece, yet she lacks none of the speed that escapes Asada. And there was more than one glaring mistake- her 3a combo looked barely rotated, she almost flubbed her 2lo, and of course botching that triple. But I'm glad you like it.

  • @2ndAveLine Of course, I meant she is NOT lacking in speed that escapes Asada.

  • @RustDemon79 This is a slow long program? Are you kidding me? Did you even see how much ice she covered throughout her long program, not even including the sheer speed that she went into her jumps? The musicality of this program is just perfect and matches the music so well. The jumps actually match the music and aren't just there because it's required (Miki Ando's terrible and forced LP). Everything about this program is about fluidity, grace, and poise... not desperation. It's about CLASS.

  • @RustDemon79 This program is technically thrilling because of the perfection of her technical jumps (triple lutz + triple toe, double axel + triple toe, etc.). All of her jumps were technically flawless and looked like they were simply afterthoughts. Do you know why Mao Asada's program felt more passionate? Because everyone knew Yuna won and felt bad for Asada and wanted her to have a fantastic program, which was broken by her underrotation and single jump.

  • Amazing!!! Yu - Na Kim. "Done to Perfection."

  • @tarnacle88 well it was done to perfection, but she did interview with korean broadcast that she didn't like it little bit.... i guess she thinks that it's not perfect for her... to me really PERFECT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • can anyone find footage that isn't copyrighted of Joannie Rochette's skate with either the BBC or NBC?

  • I love her face when the scores come up!!!

  • I love sasha cohen but she is very flexivol and she don't superate.

  • She is poetry in motion. gorgeous

the blade and body and ice are all one :)

  • good jumper but dragging program. :)

  • Well earned gold medal! Yuna is a true champion and completely deserves this win. She's the best female ice skater I've ever seen :)

  • 연아가 보고싶다...

  • Kim's speed, as a lady figure skater, is notoriously over-the-limit. Especially her take off speed to triple-triple combination is nearly suicidal to most skaters. Her running edge after jumps are also first class, which gives Kim a sharp edge over other skaters in jumps element.

  • Her running edge after jumps are also first class, which gives Kim a sharp edge over other skaters in jumps element. No skaters ever retain better upper-body movement on the ice. No skaters have such an ideal trajectory of air position as Kim does in jump. Very frequently men skaters experienced extra torque in quads or triple axels due to the center of weight in motion after jump.

  • Kim's transition control is unequaled, a key that makes her skating look in flow, vividly undulated in every turn, adding the polishing to her solid jumps.Last, not least of all, her artistry and lyrical expression is unmatched. Her arm movement and body line spin almost the visual notes with her sheer musical instinct that ultimately produces a Broadway Show on the ice.

How often do we see all come in one?

  • @sunshineyn broadway show? is that suppoused to be flattering? ouch

  • I am so anxious to see the 2011 World Champshionship!

  • Just superb, beautiful!!!

  • just noticed, whenever Yuna's olympics vids hits 70k views or the highest number of views just vanished. it's not really surprising at all coz they always do that(even before). but why? i really hope they just deleted those "nonsense" vids instead of these.

  • can't imagine how mao might have felt , to perform right after that ... not good. lol

  • Hah! Beat that suckers! No wonder she is a total superstar in Korea. She is truly one of the best athletes South Korea will ever have. SHE IS AWESOME!

  • Aaaww...poor girl who came out next after that routine!

  • Did you hear her !? "oh my guh--!" OMG you deservedd itt !! :D <3

  • i just love her !!! so much speed!!!

  • OMG, i saw disliked for the first time after two months! how i wished he/she didn't found this video!

  • Amazing jumps, spins, spirals, skating skills and beautiful choreography.

  • Vancouver Olympic Champion Yuna Kim <3

  • michelle erupts on the ice like a volcano. yuna just captures everyone like freezing ice. i always catch myself zoned out while i watch yuna

  • THANK you for posting this!! A great quality version of a super program with very good commentary (thank you BBC) but can someone answer me one question: is she Yu Na Kim or Kim Yu Na, as someone who only speaks English I've always been a bit confused by this! Thank you!

  • @muscleboi4use she is Yu-na Kim. she is Kim Yu-na in korea because they write their family name first there in korea.

  • @akyinum44 Thank you SO much for that, I always want to get things right out of respect for other cultures. So, again, thank you, much appreciated.

  • @muscleboi4use my pleasure. i love yuna!

  • @akyinum44 thanks again for the link.

  • In the real world, perfection is suppose to be unattainable, it is what make us human.

What a privilege it is then to have witnessed Yuna's 2 magnificent performances at the Olympics, where she showed us the noble pursuit to attaining perfection is achievable, is possible - when it matters the most. If her FS is an extension of her life and her philosophy on skating, it is simply miraculous and transcending. Power Poise and Perfection indeed.

  • @os168 agreed. we are so blessed to witness such great talent and perfection. long live the Queen!

  • wow~ just amaging~
