  • This is the best Batman Movie.

  • From 0:40 onwards I was blown away by the epicness

  • Danny Elfman is God!

  • Batman kicks ass

  • reminds me of my childhood

    this movie is awesome!!

  • Everything about this movie is perfect

  • beautiful

  • BEST. SONG. EVER.

  • so hands down this film has. best batsuit, best batmobile, best imagery of gotham and best batman theme. best batman movies, tim burton danny elfman

  • @00TIDIS00 I agree

  • @00TIDIS00 i cant remember is this the penguion and catwoman one? cuz i think i have that 1

  • @awesomeguy183 That's the sequel to this one, this is the Jack Nicholson as the Joker one.

  • @awesomeguy183 yep its the second best batman in my opinion

  • @awesomeguy183 Catwoman and Penguin is the 1992 one I believe 'Batman Returns'

  • @00TIDIS00 I agree, this is what Batman should be.

  • Epic !!!

  • best shit to listen at... that is like RESPECT... song is giving me chills .... thats a must....

  • This gives me chills down the spine...

  • Danny Elfman is incredible!

  • I remember first seeing this in the theater when it came out, I was pretty young... This damn theme had me SO pumped for what was to come. The barrage of brass at 0:53 had a particularly strong impact on me for some reason. I remember when the movie was over, I wanted the soundtrack just for that one part. LOL

  • Whenever I hear any Batman theme songs I want to get out there at 2 in the morning and floor it

  • Silly people, this isn't the Batman theme it's Mare-do-well's theme!

    JK ;)

  • Danny Elfman is fantastic

  • so Hey guys

  • the TRUE theme of Batman

  • @guillecw i agree to infinity

  • Without this movie, there'd be no Dark Knight. Or there might, only it wouldn't have the influence enough that this movie provides. Especially with today's hero movies. I honestly think that types of movies like Batman (1989) can't be made today. I watched Thor recently, and I just don't get it. Explain it to me. Why is it good?

  • @RedSnyder141 natalie portman's hotness.

  • @dkthg Haha. Well, I can watch Star Wars for that.

  • Batman belongs to Tim Burton and Danny Elfman

  • @papagena1991

this what heretic keep saying but batman belongs to Frank Miller, O'Neil, Adams, Aparo and great writers ;)

  • Ever danced with the devil in the pale moonlight?

  • hihi i will help you to feel like you are in heaven

  • Best theme ever

  • I got this theme on constant repeat while playing Arkham City

  • this is what made the movie! the new batman movies are shit without a good score like this!

  • One of the coolest movie intros in history of film.

  • The best Batman movie and the best Batman theme ever. Period.

  • why couldnt this batman been in arkham city instead

  • Listen to this soundtrack; whilst boost gliding through Arkham City.

  • when people saw this at the local cinema, did it start out low and get VERY LOUD? my vhs tapes and early dvd has it. also this movie was in 70mm dolby.

  • OMG, I just got a hard on when that overture hit...

  • Man I still remember when I was a kid and I got goosebumps from this song cause it's so epic. It still is! WOOT!

  • @87Ksng

    Amen brother!

  • Brilliant theme.

  • We did this at the victorian state school's spectacular this year!

  • mmh i got moneys

  • i listen to this theme when im on the way to the pub.

  • The Danny Elfman sountrack is the better for the universe of Batman

  • This is thrilling.

  • hell shit film

  • @DaHuzyBru I think it's a great film

  • @chrisclr agreed

  • @DaHuzyBru WTF get lost prick this movie owns

  • @habbuba1 r u the biggest fuken retard in the world, it means i think its good u dumb fuck. u really shouldnt comment PRICK

  • @DaHuzyBru only thing tht comes to mind is whn the angry video game nerd says

the rocky game is shit, whereas the movies are the shit (bascally meaning game is bad movie is good) same principle,

  • @Seafordshadow yes right on, cheers for the very insightful info

  • That's what i call orchestral music.

  • Let's see: Michael Keaton? Jack Nickholson? and Tim Burton? Does it get any better than this? Oh right, Kim Basinger is in this too.

  • @day500champ08 Don't forget Danny Elfman, the composer of the music.

  • thumbs up if you would love to hear this song in the dark knight series!

  • thumbs up if you would love to hear this song in the dark knight series!

  • was it me or did this theme play on smallville when Andrea Rojas appears in season 5, the episode called vengeance

  • @batwars159 Who doesn't? :D I mean, how can this be so EFFIN' EPIC?!!!!! I still get chills, from every little violin or segment in this score. Starts out sounding tragic and sad (Batman loses his parents), then gradually grows more powerful as Bruce Wayne is slowly growing from a sad cynical young man to Batman ("The Dark Night is rising" :), then BAM! - It's kick ass time!!

  • This is in my opinion the best batman movie... don't really care about the critisim either cause i find it funny they spent millions doing the new one and it still doesn't measure up to this one!

  • Who's the dumbass who disliked it 50 times

  • Why does it say songs by Prince!

  • @njmartybrodeur30 because there are 3 songs in the film by prince

when joker enters the art gallery (party man) and at the festival at the end (trust)...and i beleive theres one during the credits after the batman theme

  • @Seafordshadow Everybody do the Bat-Dane!!! :)

  • @njmartybrodeur30

There are actually five Prince songs:

"The Future" (plays during the opening street scene, which is right after the credits)

"Electric Chair" (plays while the guests at Bruce Wayne's party are gambling)

    "Partyman" (the museum scene)

    "Trust" (the parade scene)

"Scandalous" (three times in the movie, the first two during love scenes between Bruce and Vicki and the third over the final credits)

  • @SeasideDetective2 i forgot there was a song right at the start :P

  • @SeasideDetective2 Don't forget Vicki Waiting

  • @njmartybrodeur30 because this is the score of the movie, and not the soundtrack .

but the soundtrack is indeed by prince . ;)

have a look on the wiki for the Tim Burton's Batman .

  • best batman theme

  • This is the only song Chuck Norris is afraid of...

  • @giantelvis626 Who's chuck norris? It's the villians of Gotham that are afraid of it.

  • @giantelvis626 Batman would beat the fuck out of Chuck Norris.

  • This batman theme is way better than the dark knight theme yet I prefer the dark knight to this

  • This soundtrack is legendary. The new theme is good, but this is just so iconic, it bleeds batman

  • @JohnnyFiction BRINGS THIS BACK WITH SAME STYLE OF BATMAN

  • im batman

  • 50 people are in arkham asylum!

  • Batman is my favorite super hero ever!

    1- He is serious

2- He is dark (best super hero suit)

3- He is realistic ( no super powers)

  • @callahaine100 True dat

  • @callahaine100 He is BATMAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @callahaine100 4-He have the best villains to fight

  • @callahaine100 batman is everything but realistic xD having no super powers doesn't mean that hero is realistic xP

  • @GingerbreadSenfa Well, I mean more realistic than the others super heroes but of course it's not very realistic ( it's like james bond)

  • Legendary....

  • 50 people love Chris Nolan's Batman films better!

  • This theme is so much better than the dark knight's theme. Not even a contest.

  • Batman is an American Legend Larger in Life than Superman.

When he is spoken of , He should be Referred to as " The Bat Man " and Spoken of in Fear. He is Wilder than the Shadow, he is a Modern Day Version of Zorro.

He is to be Feared and Looked up to at the Same Time. He is the Batman.

His Car is the Mysterious Fearsome Chariot that takes him into and out of Battle with the Powerful Forces of Greed , Corruption and Evil.

  • Brilliantly awesome !!!!!

  • This is the theme to my childhood

  • i wish batman arkam city had this batman instead of the gay gray comic one

  • Anyone remember going to the theater to try and see this but being told it was sold out-every night for TWO weeks (or more) straight?

  • 50 people don't know what a good movie theme is

  • @86Stooy no, 50 peoples are idiots!

    this is a good theme!

  • Awesome ass movie .. ...But i loved Michelle Pfeiffer as catwoman in Batmans return .. I fell in love with her . lol.

  • Thumbs up if you think this movie beats The dark knight.

  • @MajorenRobin

everything but Heath Ledger! He was a beast!

  • @MooX101 Yes i have to agree on that part.

  • @MajorenRobin F*** yeah, this movie beats the dark knight!!!

  • @MajorenRobin The Dark Knight (while it is very good) is massively overrated

The original Tim Burton film is still the best

  • @MajorenRobin I don't think this. This movie is barely a step above the old show from the sixties.

  • @NiHuWi the dark knight listens to this and cries at night... because he is afraid of the real Batman!

  • @panosalexo The theme is probably better, yeah.

But...Michael Keaton is a laughable Batman.

  • @NiHuWi Why do you think that?

  • The theme was heard all over the hospital the day I was born

  • I was 5 years old when i saw this movie on the cinema, god I remember wanting to kill my lil sister who didn't stop crying of fear.

The cinema was also like a football stadium, everytime Batman appeared it was like if a team scored.

  • I have just finished to see it now, and I can say that I liked it but burton fucked up too much batman's original character! In that movie he kills dozens of people!!!

  • I love the music. Especially when the title appears!

  • One fellow movie goer said it best in 2005 after I came out of the movie theatre from watching Batman Begins (2005), I couldn't help over hear him tell his friend in friendly, but real conversation; something to the effect of: " I liked it (Batman Begins (2005) movie), but I think Batman (1989) was better."

  • Tim Burton = Epic Filmmaker. 'Nuff said.

  • Danny Elfman composed this. he's a BAMF

  • John william is not the composer?

  • I don't like the most comic heroes.. but batman, hellboy and tank girl are just great... good done characters...

  • Only Tim Burton would make Harvey Dent Lando Calrissian.....

  • Okay, this is going to make me sound both old and obsessive, but does anyone remember the Coke commercial that used to play before this movie on the original VHS copy? It had Michael Gough in it, I remember. And there was a Looney Toons sketch before it too, as I recall.

    Ahh, good memories.

  • @samsullithegenius YES! I remember both of tose. Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck were offering the Warner Brother catalogue of merch to buy! And the Alfred Coke commercial was Alfred on the phone calling the store telling them he'd sent somebody to pick up more Diet Coke....guess who he sent?

  • the new batman films are AWESOME.

that being said, it really makes me sad when i think about how many people (pretty much any generations after mine, i was born when this movie came out so i was watching it at elementary school age) are never gonna see this bit of retro glory.

  • when Nolan finishes his Batman trilogy Burton should go back to making Batman movies because his films lately have been quite poor

  • oh man...still get chills!!!!

  • They should get Michael Keaton and Adam West to both do cameos in the new Batman movie.

  • Golden Age Batman will forever remain the best version of Batman.

  • Quite possibly Burton's best movie. He needs to get back in track.

  • This theme = epic

  • R.I.P Alfred

Michael Gough was great as that character. Michael Caine is good, but nothing beats the original :/

  • @PituDitu i agree i love michael gough didnt even no he died till i saw this

  • @kaizerfsd Damn didn't even know it to never thought of it

  • batman is not a fucking superhero.

  • paluch w góre dla Batmana heh

  • so i was looking throught my parents VHS' i wasnt born till 7 years later and i found this movie and i was so happy because i still havent watched it D: because i havent had time (i blame homework) and i was like ok since im kind of strugling with this song in band i was 'im gonna search it up on youtube' and when i found this was the original i was amazingly happy :D and 50 thought that dislike meant dis i like!

  • Keaton all day, sorry Bale!

  • I have Batman underwear

  • somehow i always wished they would make a ps3 game out of this theme with this batman, the suit, car, etc instead of legos.............

  • and the 3 words we always, they always said...but only he can say them..

    I..am...Batman....(thunders)

  • @jokrol324 sometimes the superstar is credited first, like in goodfellas, De Niro is credited first even though he is not the main character; same thing here

  • Because Jack Nicholson was the superstar back then. I mean he has won two Oscars before this movie was made

  • I think all my veins just exploded from the sheer immensity of this music. Danny Elfman and Tim Burton are the most creative and inspirational creatures on the planet. Such beautiful music.

  • I remember seeing the opening credits as a kid and thinking "Holy Shit, this movie is going to rock". Awesome opening, awesome movie indeed.

  • Thanks to Goldentusk I can now sing lyrics to this theme

  • lego batman :P

  • Danny Fuckin' Elfman man. Love this theme. Goes perfectly with the character's and story.

  • I like how the cartoon has the same theme

  • Hah. The editor is R.Lovejoy

  • Its a shame that their wasnt more Jack Palance in this movie

  • You know, For a long time i thought it was David Ellefson who composed this. But now that i'm older and smarter I realize they are two completely different people.

  • It reminds me of a Pokemon battle.

    A wild Joker appeared!

    Batman, I choose you!

    Batman used Pure Awesome.

    It's super effective!

  • I was six years old when this movie came out. I remember watching it on VHS when it was released. I remember seeing this intro and thinking, this is a superhero movie? This movie completely reinvented the genre. Damn now I need to go rent this movie!
