  • From where is the beautiful picture you put in the video?

  • @MazaJesi91 Cant remember where I found it, but it was in my album and I thought it fits this song :)

  • My favorite life song. Don`t waste another day of the gift of life.

  • "Before you could build any castles in spain

    The chance had gone by"

Great line...and sadly most of us are all doomed to this fate.

  • I first heard "Day After Day" with my girlfriend, Mary Ann, at a Laserium show in 1978 at the Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles. We were 12 years old. The song kinda blew us away. So when we discovered I Robot at our local Licorice Pizza record store, I forked over all my money to buy a copy of it for her so we could share it. Sharing it meant that I had to ride my bike up 17 miles of hills to her house so I could listen to it. I eventually bought my own copy. I still have it.

  • @TheVaroEdition That's cool, I sure hope you got married or stayed together for like 10yrs..I lived in the country, those ain't flat city miles!

  • heavenly

  • brain washing big part of reptilians mind control they are so loll and so woooop woooop ,now dubstep time heard enough of

  • This song is so nice but it kinda wants to make you cry.

  • This song is so nice but it kinda wants to make you cry.

  • agreeing as well Johnny

  • WOW! seldom have i read such sobering thoughts and comments such as are written here by 'singinjohnny' and 'randee99'. Well let me assure you souls, that unless one is some kind of Moron, we ALL occasionally in our futile vulnerable momments are guilty of those fears you mention. Me, iv'e been a Rocker, Mod, Hippy, and now still embrace a wide spectrum of music to gladen my heart with the joy of SOUND!. Chin-UP Brothers and Sisters! Gord, from UK..

  • great video:)

  • "Think of the boy with the stars in his eyes" Great song...........love Alan Parsons.

  • the person I was in love with when I was 17 and I used to call a local radio station and request this song . that was 33 years ago . I still love the song and her , even though I have not seen her for almost 30 years. Parrish, I still love you. Thanks for all you shared with me. G.

  • Lisa and I danced to this tune in our tiny little apartment on the beach of Southern California the year this song came out. "Remember your Daddy, when no one was wiser." and "Your Ma used to say that you would go farther than he ever could." How amazing, the future is constantly washing over us, defining and shaping everything we do, but there are always these clues, the signposts that make a believer out of me.

  • The show goes on till we die and if there were no death then we would start praying for it

  • A frightening thought haunts me everyday: What is the price of our dreams? And, are them not worthy of all the time and effort we dedicated to more futile pursuits? Looking back in hindsight, why is it that our dreams were eternally on the backburner, and what's the origin of that paralyzing attitude that rendered us incapable of bridging the gap between possibility and reality?

  • @randee99 The attitude is fear, its origin, a society that crushes dreams in everything we do and in every way they can.How many times have you heard the phrase "be realistic",or you need to be more practical.Argue for your limitations, they become your limitations, I believe is the saying. And there's much more, from what we teach is important in schools, to thinking that the arts and music are not essential subjects. To much to get into here. But it's great that you question, never stop questioning.

  • This song saddens me profoundly. Maybe not in a negative way altogether, but there's something about the crushing reality of time marching on. Have all chances gone by? I think any and everybody here can relate to that thought. Few songs have the power of making you remember your childhood, and then, in what feels like the blink of an eye..., 30's, 40's, and as you get older, you resent yourself and others for not being brave enough to chase your dreams.

  • It is one of the coolest, unique sounds ever heard. Alan Parsons Project. Genious!

  • I used this track for my first paid fire spinning performance for the university my mom works at. My dad had passed away a few years previous from cancer. It really hit myself and my mother in the crowd. she was the only person I was spinning for that night. I still never cashed the check. Something that meaningful I can't sell out for.

  • so peaceful....

  • I hear this when I was merrried, with one family, the childrens are growing and now...all is going with time out my side.. but now I am the kid who try to see castles i spaing and the show must go on...

  • I remember hearing this song when I was in my 20`s. After a lifetime of being a loser and always being the victim of bullying, I began to wonder then if I would ever accomplish anything with my life. Sadly, I set my own standards too high. However, I have since successfully gotten married (18 years now), had 2 gorgeous daughters with incredible dreams and given them the courage to persue them. I think that says a lot. The song continues to inspire me to this day.

  • @cjeb2003 Now, that's what I call a success story! Thanks for sharing this. I was also a victim of bullying and had the same misgivings as you describe. But I have a wonderful son, daughter-in-law and grandson. They mean the world to me. And if I accomplish nothing else in this life, I can look at them and say the opposite!

  • I used to think my greatest days were in my youth, when I accomplished what I thought other people wanted me to do. My greatest day and accomplishment in life didn't occur until I was 34, when my son was born. Now I only hope he will go farther than I ever did...

  • We all thought we had unlimited time and that everything would go our way. It was nice to be that young and naive.

  • Eerily awesome APP selection. Guess it's good that radio neglects it, as they would have wore it out. I love hearing it everytime.

  • I liked this one since I first heard it in 1977. in 1982 at age 19, i was paralyzed (paraplegic) because of a car crash. I agree with several of the comments about how there is still plenty of time and I try daily. (Although I know I should try harder!!)

  • i love this song, the lyrics it's just perfect. i'm only 22 i and hope do everything i want =) thxs for posting it . and sorry for my english =(

  • I am with "gazoon tight" I would give anything, anything to go back to the 70's early 80's. So much that I should have, could have, would have done. This song popped into my head today for no apparent reason, and I am so glad that it did. It tells me that there is much to be planned for the second half of my life.

  • Jack Harris is my dad!

  • @jenifalynn My highest compliments to your dad, Jenifa. His most beautiful vocal in this recording made a strong impression on me back then and still now.

  • I was only 4 YO... and this was my favourite lullaby.... :)

  • @MrVirtual73 Nice lullaby indeed! I'm sure that a very strong impression was made when hearing this song in such a scenario. It's indeed a perfect lullaby.

  • Very melancholy, it could be played at our funerals.

  • Every time I hear this song and think of my younger family members, all I can say is "you have no idea how fast it all goes"

  • They played this song at a Lazarium lazer light show last week on a amazingly powerful sound system. I'm only 19 and so I didnt know of this group or song, and had to ask my brother who is 17 who it was. (and he knew). I find it to be a very very beautiful song, so please dont think us kids arent paying attention, because we may not admit it, but we are! =)

  • @Erinlovesyew I completely understand. It's the same way with me and always has. I loved and still love the music from my parents' generation which is the 1930s through the '50s. I listened then and still do. Beautiful music is truly timeless. It's just beautiful and I applaud you for your insight. It's great to hear that the torch will be passed on and on. Hopefully, beautiful music will always be appreciated by generations down the road. The most important thing is to be exposed to it.

  • Heart-achingly sad song.

Many here seem to interpret it as "live life to the fullest", but I hear it as a song about the passage of life, and how nothing can stop it, no amount of regrets of yearnings.

We all are born, grow live, then die and the world just keeps going like it all meant nothing.

This is why Alan Parsons Project is the greatest band ever.

    Thanks for posting.

  • To 2906Sarge dont consider myself an Old Fartbut may be (40+ and don't need my youth anymore..............) to me this song hits me as to tell people..Dont settle..build your castles..dont be like me wondering What if? We go from being self concious to dont give a rats behindLOL Take the Dang chance.(that includes relationships too :) ) So not looking for my youth...it's gone,,,,but looking to help someone git it while getin is GOOD!!!

  • Someday, someday ... someday never came, did it? Still wouldn't trade the late 70s and early 80s for any time before or since.

  • wow.....the song for old farts longing for their youth....this touches me so much.....thanks for posting

  • LOL! no doubt, was in high school in 77 when I came upon this song...making me old fart qualified...

  • thank you for posting this nice song. it is one of my favorites

  • this such a nice song.

  • Love how they use floyd titles

  • R.I.P Eric! I will always remember your fantastic music and voice, your music will live a long time in the future.

  • Thanks for this post! I have since lost this LP....it does take me back to my high school years 77.

  • I'm 29. A friend brought me this album I Robot as a laugh. I started listening to it, and I'm so glad I flipped it over. This is one of my most favourite songs. Thanks for posting it. I'd like to cover this one day if i have free time.

  • Alan Parson mean to much for me, i hear for first time when i have my first sun, i was merried,m tc etc etc..With meny planes for to do Castles in Spain, but...changes go by, now in 54 i hear again y make me fell special, no sad no glad just in calm with me self

  • This melody is so beautiful and sad, took me back to a nice period in my life (81/82). Alan Parson is a music legend!

  • I aswell keet my vinyl LP since those days, and as this song accompanied me for those last 30 years I am now wondering, why it took so long to really experience the lyrics of it.

  • Yes, experiencing the lyrics! Life does that for us. At 27, I loved the music. Over the past 10 years, the song took on a whole different meaning. I never get tired of hearing this.....

  • Oh yes, I always loved the beautiful, hypnotic synthesizer riff that runs through this song as well. It really made me stop and listen back in '77. I still have my vinyl LP of this.

  • hay me too. one of my favs

  • I heard this song for the first time when I was 27. I'm 59 now and "still got it all to do". To me, it doesn't matter what one's chonological age is. Our life's expectations vary from one person to another. What one person thinks is important, another blows off. I used to get sad listening to this song. But one must put that aside and do the best with what is left. Some have more left than others. But regardless, do the best with what you have.

  • I agree, singinjohnny.

  • @singinjohnny

I can identify with your comments regarding "Day after day"... Alan Parsons

  • @singinjohnny It's all folly If you don't know God!

  • @singinjohnny And so do i agree

  • @singinjohnny Nicely put. Brother in time.

  • beautiful!! beautiful!!

  • u r sooo sweet

  • Thanks for sending this to me Owly, great video.

  • my greatest fear is the realization of this song.. but i'll never admit it to anyone

its a beautiful work of art :)

  • yesterday is only a memory...tomorrow never comes...live in the now, it's all we got.

  • Bellissima..

  • 5*****

  • I figured that when I first heard this at 18, I would not regret things as I got older, that I would pursue my dreams. I figured I would achieve them by 50. And now at 50, it's like the song says, I still got it all to do and surely I know...

  • Holy Christ! I loved this album when I was a kid. But I haven't done much with my life since then. I listened to this song the other day and I completely broke down, nearly ended it. Called my sister crying, needing to hold on to something, stumbling away from the edge of the abyss. I still can't listen to it yet. It shines the harsh light of reality on what the hell I'm doing with my life. Man, I need to straighten my shit out.

  • Ich muß gestehen, daß das einer der besten Lieder aller Zeiten ist. Ich hätte mir gewünscht, daß Alan Parsons so weiter macht.

  • I love this song, and can listen to it over and over again without ever getting tired of it. Thank you for posting! :-)

  • The chance has gone by...

    What a poetry.

  • Me encanta esta cancioncita... y este disco.
