  • gonna make a good horse

  • nice horse i would ask him to flex at the pole a bit more ;)

  • pretty horse, give him alil more room with his head and shift your weight back

  • What a beautiful animal!!!!

  • What' s the point in riding a horse that hardly moves as one...?

  • Send me some pics, asking price, info, etc. on the 4yo filly & some others if you have any. I don't need a real high dollar horse but I need a horse that will be fine in the local shows. Keep on riding high!!!

  • All I Need is a Price on this horse i got a man that is looking for a Ozone Horse

  • @bobbymanessstables Sorry this horse is sold. I have a 4 y/o filly for sale right now but not an Ozone. Let me know if you might be interested in her.

  • Is this one still for sale?

  • @moonlit81 Sorry this horse is sold. I have a 4 y/o filly for sale right now. Let me know if you might be interested in her.

  • beautiful rear action but not much reach in the front. I wonder if he would reach more if the rider shifted his weight back on the horse more?

  • well your checking his head too much and his gaites alittle off

  • I understand what everyone is trying to say. however this is not the place to do that, when you are commenting on someone's video and saying that padded walkers are inhumanely treated, then people think that you are talking about the horse at hand. I myself do not believe in horse abuse, but i do show padded walkers, and a good horse dosen't have to be abused to get them to perform.

  • I do not support the performance horse. I believe it is the most outrageous form of horse training there is. I am against the stacks and chains. I am also against the soring and abusive training measures that many padded horse people use. I have ridden padded horses and I have chosen not to take that path.

  • it is very clear to me what side you stand on. I am here to fight horse abuse and you have been against it every step of the way. A righteous man treats his horse with kindness and seeks to know his needs. A wicked person, like yourself, may vocally express love for his horse, but his "mercies" at best are actually cruel. His actions betray the selfish motive he has in mind.

  • im not saying anything bad about anyones horses everyone is entitled to there own opinion :) i am a supporter of performance walking horses and i understand that some people dont agree but to each is there own. its just really childish when people go aound bashing other people horses that they have alot of hard work and saddle time under.

  • I wish they didn't have to be stabled all the time, if the shoes make it unsafe for turnout then they shouldn't be shod in that way, the whole package normally weights under 5 lb, They are worked about 15 minutes a day, they spend more time in cross ties than being ridden. Most of them want to please their owner as the horse most likely enjoys their job. I have been around saddleseat horses before most will follow you around like a big dog and act like any other horse.

  • I don't like pad because of the unnatural look of their gait, but I have worked with lots of different horses in different diciplines. there are people who show lite-shod who sore their horses, and padded people who treat theirs like kings, and vise versa. Other non walker disciplines are absolutly horrible as well. It is not just walking horse people. The Humane Society demonstrates the absolute worst and acts like everyone does that. Please research before you critisize.

  • I believe if you were aware of the issues involving the padded/ sored horses you might think a little differently. The pad is more than just an unnatural look. It is shown it can cause damage. One reason the Human Society is involved because AEP(American Equine Practioners) states it is the most significant animal welfare issue involving any equine breed or discipline. Let me repeat that. It is the most significant animal welfare issue involving any equine breed or discipline.

  • Actually, having worked with the breed for nearly twenty years I am aware of the issues with padding and soring. Soring is a horrible practice, my point is it doesn't only happen in the padded horses. And not all padded horse are sored, in fact there are trainers to start their padded correctly, slowly building up the muscle and weigh with care and patience, making sure the horse is sound and happy. I know there are cruel people out there. but not everyone who pads their horse is abusive

  • To continue I will say that I don't like padding horses, it looks wrong to me, and it lead to all sorts of issues with people who don't care about their animals. It can also lead to other health issues if the horse is not maintained properly. but not all of these situations are as horrific as Humane Society displays. But lastly, my TWH mentor had an old mare who had been shown padded before he bought her, she was still sound and healthy and happy at 27.

  • I respect your overall thoughts on the padded horse. I agree not al situations are horrifiec but I think you are unintentionally minizing the problem the USHS is trying to expose. There have been thousands of padded/sored walking horses. So, far since 1986 there have been 8,600 horse protection act violations recorded. These are only the ones that have been caught since the USDA can only attend 6% of the shows due to lack of funding.

  • Thank you for the respectful and honest rely, it is greatly appreciated. I agree with you that sorring is a huge problem and the examples that the USHS bring up are very good points that need to be addressed in ahuge way. I just want to get the unexposed people away from thinking that everyone who works with walkers abuses their horses. I am trying to show, thru what I have actuall experience, not just read, that not every who pads is cruel, and not every one in lite shod is by the books.

  • Lastly, you are right, now that you point it out. I will try not to downplay the USHS issues as much in my arguments. Once again thank you for your reasonable and knowledgeable input. The arguments on this subject, and the childishness get very tiring.

  • im not ashamed of my breed and never will be..

  • why dont you guys keep your negative comments to yourselves.. If you dont like it tough. there will always be padded horses..

  • If you research on leg lameness you will find more jumper and dressage, performance QH and race horses. That is lame in the knees, back, ankles then walking horses. The pad is wider than the foot and actually disperses the pressure and the horse has more area absorbing shock. Each pad takes a certain percent of the shock so actually there is very little shock if any in the ankles, knees and shoulders.

  • . Look at your QH's they have these tiny feet with a huge 1000 pound body you think thats good for their legs?? Why dont you talk to an educated trainer and know what youre talking about before you bash someones horse? And dont trust all the information you read on the internet if youre not familiar with a different division with show horses!

Do you know how much it weighs...please note that the horse is not walking on his hocks...far from it! Not every padded horse is sored! So all of you get your heads out of your asses and do some research not just what you read on the internet....you may learn something...the TRUTH!

  • how are there backs so slanted like that??
