  • no way... i call BS

  • ....terminal velocity.

  • i only click like because i love the view from space rather than the iPad falling

  • iPads in space

  • Fake!

  • SPAAAAACE!!!!

  • Y U NO FALL ON SCREEN. WUD HAVE TOTALY OWNED WHOLE EVENT.

  • @Seahawksfan05 We have an Einstein in the crowd

  • awesome gform case...BUT WHAT CAMERA WAS THAT?!

  • now i'm sure my ipad will be protected just incase i accidently drop it from 100,000+ feet in the air while watching a movie

  • Next time I take my iPad on a space walk I'll be sure to bring that.

  • Comment removed

  • The camera SURVIVE even without G-FORM, so why not iPad?

  • @davidchew91 It's probably a gopro. Those have a protective casing that can easily take that beating.

  • could very easily have switched the iPad once the first one had fallen and broken into a million pieces

  • Mini heat attack when the balloon popped.

  • Scumbag Ipad

Survives 100,000+ Foot Fall from space

breaks when dropped from 4 foot.

  • @adam1611 You broke an iPad from 4 feet? Did you throw it?

  • made in???

  • Earth is so small....

  • i like how they edited out the parachute

  • @chrisfur2 There is no parachute.

  • @brainslurper its falling way to slow for it not to have a parachute.

  • @chrisfur2 How do you know how fast it was falling?

  • @futhamucka

    Touché

  • what if it hit someone?

  • @errorstudios in the desert?!?!

  • @errorstudios retard

  • /watch?v=zW_swJiebIA&feature=relmfu watch this and see if this is true

  • with that cover put on...how would u expect it to break...it doesnt matter if its 30 km...its light...mine ipad broke from 2 meter fall...the whole glass broke!

  • fucking shit

  • @psychotrone: dumb punk

  • @psychotrone: dumb punk

  • Fake ! Because I dropped my ipad with this case from 100,000 on my way to stop the sun from exploding , it broke .. ill send you all the pieces .. and your welcome for me saving the planet

  • @calebcharlebois12 Actually, it is. Very near.

  • maybe fake

  • I'm not that impressed with this test - the balloon tatters would have significantly slowed down the iPad.

  • @CyclingMikey Meh, not that much.

  • @brainslurper I might not know that much about aerodynamics and real-life behaviour, but I know enough to know you're wrong. ;)

  • @CyclingMikey This test is already fucking retarded. This just seems like one big excuse to spend money on dropping an iPad from space. I could wrap an iPad in a sweater and it would probably be fine. The pole sticking out with the camera on it would have slowed it down too, and it pretty much ensures that the iPad lands on a corner, not on the back. The tatters aren't that big of a deal. Besides, it would reach terminal velocity after falling like 200 feet.

  • It's not fake guys.. Why would they risk this lie if they can't do it? They would be sued and it would ruin their reputation.. like calbecharlebois says 100,000 feet is nowhere near space so it is possible

  • It was fake when u saw it changing so much they used a green screen and it would of broke in space due to temperature of the iPad it would of froze

  • 100,000 feet is nowhere near space.... lol

  • Bll Gates is thinking "bastard!"

  • GoPro HD! :)

  • An object which fall reach a maximal speed so, at 100m or billion, the Ipad fall at the same speed.

  • GoPro camera also survives... even without a Ninja Turtles cover!

  • fake

  • will survive re-entry?

  • I imagine this video is real, however there are a few points to bear in mind.

Firstly, 100,000 feet is in all truth no more impressive than say, 5,000 feet, because once the ipad reached terminal velocity (the point at which air resistance = force due to gravity, mg) it isn't going to accelerate any further, regardless of the distance which it travels.

  • @IIArmAII ...

None the less, it is a very impressive case :D

  • I will get a Android Tablet, but i will buy ipad with this case to mom for sure

  • you know its shit when they use garageband songs

  • hahahahhahahhahahaha....so stupid!

from now on people will be sent to the space with balloon! CHEAP AND ENVIRONMENt FRIENDLY

  • I can see why people might think it is a fake - although there are plenty of other videos showing how amazing the material they use is at protecting things - but what I question is whether anyone would be nuts enough to post something totally fake and risk being sued because of it? Surely it would be ruinous to their brand?

  • Android in space

  • It's funny how you see the credits at the beginning of the movie just starting to play when they find it......

  • This video is such bullshit. The thing would be in bits.

  • @joker102877 Did you not see the protective case around it?

  • @TheShammies I did. Are you saying we need to use this stuff on the space shuttles from now on?

  • @joker102877 No, because it wouldn't fall out of the pressurized cabin of a space shuttle.

  • @TheShammies The force is strong with you.

  • @joker102877 K.

  • What if it hit a plane. Or a turbine.

  • but will it blend..

  • Idk why they need to go so high. An object can only fall so fast...

  • @Seahawksfan05 exactly its terminal velocity wouldnt even be that high

  • @Seahawksfan05 The balloon pops, it doesn't just drop. The balloon only expands enough to pop once it is that high. Also, it is an excuse to drop an iPad from near orbit.

  • Nice camera ..... Oh this is a video about an ipad? .. nevermind

  • FAKE!!!!!!!!

  • I wonder how long it took from moment of release to moment of impact.

  • I am from singapore after seeing this video i do the same thing as it was now my fucking iphone drop to the sea Fuck Y U NO COME BACK!

  • Free Falling.

  • Who is dumb enough to believe this is real? Raise your hand

  • @nicholasfrascone Its obviously real

  • I dropped my iPad from a little chair to the floor, now its all crashed

  • LOL,, when i seen this ,,i throw my ipad out the window while my dad was driving hit a semi trailer ,,still looking for it,,lol

  • its funny that they put the 'heavy' gps locator on the back of the pad so it doesnt drop onto its screen or side at terminal velocity mmmm ??

  • Ever wonder why there's no iPad internally recorded video attached to this vid?

  • GoPro WINS!!!

  • Fake

  • yeah GoPro!!!

  • What kind of mega camera can record in such freezing tempatures without getting any kind of frost whatsoever on the lense?

  • lol i heard walking after it hit the ground.... Switched ipads derp

  • Um, how does an Ipad survive in -100 degrees F?

  • Now and Mass Effect 3!!!!

  • Not exactly from space, as it would burn up on re-entry. Please thumb up so people won't buy into this.

  • @DoctoriLOLZ It's from near space. Not to mention the only reason things have a tendency to burn up upon reentering the atmosphere is that they are usually traveling incredibly fast, producing a huge amount of friction between the object and the atmosphere. If something reentered the atmosphere traveling at a relatively slow rate it would not burn up (there would not be enough friction).

  • @DoctoriLOLZ you're a plonker.

The reason an object burns on re-entry is because it is travelling at an incredible velocity (thousands of mph), and the friction between said object and the atmosphere creates a lot of heat.

So no, I won't thumbs you up. YOU SIRRY BIRRY.

  • go pro should get the props! it did the fall too and didnt have a case on it

  • The iPad looks bent, but shit, it's still playing. Props to them.

  • if this had been a nokia 3310 it would have left a crater in the ground

  • It's a amazing video, now try it with a politician ;)

  • nah,i dont care about the ipad.i wanna know what camera did they use to record it?it survive.

  • I can see the desert from there!

  • The camera and mounts were designed so that it would fall flat and spin. This increases air resistance, ground effect cushion, as well as give it lift. (Like helicopter seeds.)

Drop is on edge from 10 feet and it would probably hit harder. (especially if it's spinning)

  • GoPro FTW, love that camera

  • Can you show an uncut unedited video of the entire free fall? That would be neat to watch and should only be around 5 minutes.

  • How did they not see that fall, it was only 70 yeards away from them, im sure it made some noise or something?

  • @Mssgmeifikillu they drove to it and started filming when they got outta the car?

  • Can I tie myself to a baloon and fly to space?

  • @darthlopez No, you are too heavy, and a larger baloon would be EXTREMLY dangerous (Flamable)

  • even the camera is well protected

  • what case was the camera in?

  • @podesta1971 Its was a GoPro HD Not a fucking case...-.-

  • THIS IS BULLSHIT

  • @WatchThemWatchYou i never said Russia was better. plus i didnt have a choice of where i was born. chill bro.

  • I´m more impressed with the GoPro :)

  • How does a half closed ipad still work after -100 degrees , i dont understand.

  • that would hurt if it fell on your head.

  • America launched an ipad into space.

    SMART.

  • @EDEDDEDDY9 A private company let an iPad float into space attached to a balloon for marketing purposes.

    That is actually pretty smart.

  • Whats that vlue haze aroung earth?

  • @TallminJ the atmosphere

  • @TallminJ ur dumb

  • For Some reason this video similar to android in space....

  • FAKE because it doesnt take like 5 mins to get up and down to earth the movie was only at the pixar and title crap and the landing was so soft that it could of had a parachute

  • @SteelCurious Dude are you stupid? They obviously trimmed this video (You can even tell), because otherwise this video would have been like an hour long (Maybe even longer).

  • @SteelCurious retard

  • Comment removed

  • All the padding is on the back. There was a weight on the back that assured that the iPad fell on the padding. The test isn't accurate... I'd like to see them drop it without the extra equipment.

  • you havent seen the iPad 3 yet, already have it on my hands!

  • And I get scared when I drop my iPad just standing up! Wow!

  • So what? The camera survived the fall too! ;))

  • I've seen three different iPads stop working while they were being used in a hockey arena at around 2 degrees Celsius. I don't believe one would stay warm enough at 100,000 feet to NOT stop working, and I don't think it would warm up enough on the descent. Maybe it sat in the desert for a while?

  • 1:14 i thought it was just a picture. not a video lol

  • iPad 2?

  • This is fucking retarded. If youll notice that the screen is completely untouched, even though it landed ON THE SCREEN! They sent the one ipad with the weather ballon and let that do whatever, then they built another case around another ipad and set it down "70 yards away" and as more proof look at the metal rod when it hits. It gets bent all to hell and is really dirty, yet when they pick it up, WALLA! Its perfectly fine! Its magic!! No, its one dumbass with too much money making a fake video

  • @killa1172009 Actually landed on its back.

  • Can we just make a phone out of this stuff to begin with?

  • Where is this music from>?! i hear it all the time!!!

  • if that hit somebody on the head, potentially fatal???? if so dumb thing to do.

  • they derived that technology from my abs...

  • but what if it landed on the other side? obviously the screen will break

  • Gform should start making condoms..

  • see there is an area 51

  • They should've had the iPad camera recording.

  • Cool story, bro ... Needs more dragons and shit ...

  • It's not fake, I was the cameraman up there with the iPad

  • @MegaBadseed i have a business offer that could make you millions of dollars

  • @FPSChechnya Sounds good lol

    Sign me up

  • blahblahblah...*insert random physics facts* blahblahblah.

  • I’m impressed for the camera that still recording after that drop.

  • The go pro survived too, and without the ugly sleeve!

  • What's with all the dislikes, looks real to me

  • It's fake because in the space you don't have gravity so if that ipad is in space he won't fall right into the eart I think. I don't now if I am right but I think this is just fake ;)

  • @Settar42 not fake because actually they didnt ''drop'' the ipad out of the atmosphere so there was still gravity

  • @raspabas dont be creepin on mah profile! and i only put that cuz i was born in the US. I'm actually russian living in this shithole of a country.

  • @ThePhsyco1

If Russia was so damn great why are you living here? Go home.

  • what i dont understand is why do they keep making these videos, after 40 feet its gonna hit its terminal velocity, so the result will be the same every time

  • @IpadProduckshinz not everyone knows that, so it's way more impressive for people who know nothing about physics lol

  • @IpadProduckshinz I'm sure you know, but its obviously just to over exaggerate the face this a very very durable case

  • @IpadProduckshinz but its not as epic and no one would watch it

  • @IpadProduckshinz Because not everybody knows that.

  • @IpadProduckshinz Not in the air, it's a much higher terminal velocity at such high altitude.

  • @rivengle I don think it matters. Even though it may have a higher terminal velocity in the high altitude thinner atmosphere, it will slow down to its normal terminal velocity as it reaches lower altitudes.

  • @IpadProduckshinz Marketing. How do people not understand that it is getting attention for G-form. 3 million views and i would wager that a few of these people have purchased a case who otherwise would not have.

  • @IpadProduckshinz because plenty of people dont even know what terminal velocity is xD.

  • Its more likely to burn up in the mesosphere, higher than 100,000 feet. Looks real to me.

  • @FunkteonRecordings first of all, dont classify me as an american, you know nothing about me. and second, i was thinking when i watched it and didnt realize that the balloon is still inside earths orbit.
