Third video I watched. Very impressive. But still curious why you diss groundwork? I find it invaluable. Most of us don't ride as well as you. I'ld be willing to bet 20 years from now when you have a bit of age on you, groundwork will be a much bigger part of your training. LOL
My mouth is hanging open! Incredible. Not only did you ride the horse, but the horse seemed to be balancing you and itself, maintaining a fairly steady pace, and responding to your cues. If I hadn't seen it myself, I would have said it's impossible. Hats off to you.
Ahhhh! It all makes sense now! Around here we joke about having to go to the gym to work out our arm muscles so that we will be able to pat ourselves on the back as much as Pat does.... : )
this is by far the best music (most descriptive). you really do "turn off the lights" and just keep things simple! i love all the stretching, keep releasing those endorphins! carriagedork and i are discussing a trip to the far east!
i hope they pay you well as youve got the best job in the world in the most beautiful settings and first class facilities. i bet you speak japanese too dont you??
Still enjoying your videos Endo!! KUDOS!! KUDOS!! I did something similar. A paint mare that hadn't been touched or trained really in anything not even barely to lead on a halter and lead rope. I broke her in like 10 minutes and then was riding her downt he highway although Iw as the only one that could ride her I still broke ehr to ride better then any other horse I had really seen.
The only thing feel I should point out here is at 6min39sec the horse starts heading towards the guy holding the camera because unlike the defcon horse, this horse has been treated like a pet and has no fear of humans. He also grew up in this environment, it's his paddock and had some unused RAM left over to think about the camera guy whereas other minds would be fully occupied.

Julz, I sent Da Pinky (my good luck charm) to ride with Endo for awhile.
I ended up having to pay a ransom for Da Pinky's safe return, lol
After damn near two years, he was returned safe and sound and has his place on my saddle :~)
I get to ride with Endo ev'rytime I ride.. i know, you're jealous, lol
Da Pinky is more wild and a little uncontrolable at times.. i wonder what happened to him in Japan.
Whatever it was.. i'm sure Otoe (I mean Oleg) had sumthing to do with it, lol
