  • can someone explain what the difference between "stress" and "work"

I always here "this puts stress here or there", but isn't that good. Doesn't that work you out.? You put stress on biceps for example to make them stronger. But no one uses the word stress, instead "work". You work on your biceps but you stress your joints. So what the difference, don't your joints get stronger with stress.

  • Wow, these instructional videos are great! I love not only the common sense present regarding the avoidance of injuries, but also the realization that not everyone has access to such equipment. Thanks for making these videos, gentlemen!

  • Let me just get my Glute/Ham developer!

  • ARE YOU A GOOD PERSON ACCORDING TO GOD? Have you ever told a lie? yes or no. Have you ever stolen something? yes or no. So if God judges you only on these 2 commandments will you goto HEAVEN or HELL? For God said, all liars and thieves cannot enter heaven but will goto hell. Does that concern you? But Jesus bore the sins of those who CONFESS and REPENT(turn away from sin and turn to God) put their faith, hope and trust in Him as Lord and Savior shall have everlasting life. We all sin! REPENT PLZ.

  • @10cannons stop preaching religion to people on the internet. keep it to yourself

  • wow they are doing over head sqaut and glute ham raises in the Navy and they have bumpers i'm impressed badass!

  • GIGN are like 100x better

  • tht dud is hot...sexy

  • Wait a minute.... since when does doing a situp activate your hamstring....

  • @reddog418 Not sure, I think the superman was supposed to substitute for that exercise. Then the sit up was for the first workout he did. I think... smh, I don't even want to go watch it again. There's no real substitute for the work he was doing. Supermans or situps just wouldn't cut it. Good catch.

  • Thanks for sharing.

  • Anybody else looking to become a SEAL? I now realize that I really have to work on my core haha

  • @ButchaPete you'll never be a navy seal

  • You idiots are shitheads. This is a SEAL workout. If you think you can do this, great. I workout too.

Think you can go through almost a year of 19 an hour a day, seven day a week training that puts you in situations that are unimaginable to us sitting at a computer? You're a keyboard warrior.

Training for the SEALS will put you the closest to death that you will experience anywhere as far as training goes. Good luck to those who are brave enough to attempt to become one of the elite.

  • navy seals some bad motherfuckers

  • SAS

  • @bfine123

    ?

  • Nice nice

  • I agree with jgajewsky. Idk where people got this tier 1 tier 2 tier 3 stuff. Probably from video games like medal of honor. But yea the point is seals are tough as shit. Sure u can say ur strong and can lift a lot of weight and all that. But when it comes to a real situation it probably won't matter. Strength and endurance are what make seals. Not oversized muscles and show offs.

  • dont compare special ops units for different operations each one!!!

  • Did you know average (me) civil service (opposite of army) carried 8hours in a row, many 75pounds weighing stuff down the stairs for over 2kilometers in one day.

So, thats climbing the CN tower twice and bringing 75pounds of equipment down each time.

All they do in the army today is play a war game, and exhaust people mentally. Funny :D

Oh wait, I did that 2 days in a row :)

  • Overhead squat. Best workout!

  • Hanging leg raises (or easier variations) are also great for core strength.

  • THEZOOKEEPERR- your a dumbass navy seals are the most elite force in the world delta doesnt even come close to this kind if strength skill and determination

  • @jackrules023 actually Delta force and Seal team six are both tier 1 counter terrorism organizations and have equal training but the seal team six works in a maritime environment. Green Berets and Regular seals are trained the same way but regular seals have an edge in sea based missions and are tier 2. Seals are super physically fit and super tough but the only edge they have over others is their sea missions. Rangers are tier 3

  • "The average Navy Seal carries gear weighing up to 75 pounds.

Man down? Add another 180 pounds. Now climb over a ten foot wall."

Sounds like another day at the office for a Finnish defence forces light infantryman to me? (such a long name :D lol)

  • It is so annoying when people say "Oh,I can do that, thats easy." No,no you can't do that, if you could then you'd be a Navy SEAL not a lazy ass bitch who posts on youtube videos of stuff he wishes he could do. Tell you what, post a video of you running 10 miles, then swimming 2 miles, do some log PT THEN put a 180lb guy on your shoulders and climb over a 10ft wall. Then in the Description you can put "Told you I could do this." Until that time comes, shut up.

  • @the1holysaint im going to try to do this? nah but im serious i agree with you but this is probably the easy stuff that the SEALs do i know theres thougher stuff than this in BUD/S, like me i am going to do my best to acomplish my dream of being a SEAL as i visited a recruiter today learnign more about the navy and my dream :)

  • @PolishGROM389 Thats awesome dude, power to you. I think its awesome when someone has a dream and goes for it. I'm going to BUD/S myself after boot and I think I can do it out of my confidence cause I'm that type of person to be over confident with things I wanna do. Good luck man, hope to see you there.

  • @the1holysaint i got six years im 17 cuz i want to go to college and i did visit the Naval recruiting center so i have many approaches to the BUD/s/SEALs and becoming an officer

  • @PolishGROM389

Me too im thinking of either going to a div 1 college or naval academy im 16 and i have visited the naval recruiting center too!

  • My motivation about going to BUD/s is my confidence all my life tasks have been put in front of me and one way or another i accomplish them or over accomplish them i have a great mental toughness never give up attitude and i could never face my parents if i quit.. CANT WAIT FOR BUD/s!!! Hooyah

  • Best Wishes right?

  • @the1holysaint Oh, I can do that, thats easy.

  • @RonaldBarone <- First guy to DOR.

  • If you want to be special forces of any kind, there is one thing you must possess: you must desire to kill people. Yeah, physical and mental conditioning is very important, but you have to be willing, no, eager to take another human being's life. Several actually.

  • @raptorbob1993 That is totally untrue

  • Aren't sit ups bad for u

  • @brozac1011 yep... worse for you than mcdonalds. Put it this way... if the worse thing you are doing are sit ups then id say your doing ok

  • While the exercises aren't that challenging after one round, if you are really working non-stop, then 20 minutes of this would be a great workout for most people.

I have a similarly styled workout, but with more body weight exercises

  • @ZOOKEEPER

U sir are a fuckin idiot

If u really think that becoming a navy seal is easy then you are seriously mentally retarded

  • @Sickbeats4 I got in yesterday wasn't that hard

  • @Sickbeats4 or hes a freak of an athlete lol

  • ADRIAN SWABY BASIL SWABY INDECENT ASSAULT RAPE INTENTION TO CAUSE HATE CRIMES

  • THANKS FOR THE CAPS LOCK IT WAS LIKE YOU SCREAMING IN MY HEAD :-)

  • @Rizilki XDDDDDDD!

  • FIRST OF ALL, I CAN DO EVERYTHING HE JUST DID IN THAT CLIP.

SECOND OF ALL, AS A NON-ATHLETE/MILITARY GUY, I CAN DO EVERYTHING HE JUST DID IN THAT CLIP

THIRD OF ALL, IF I WERE, I WOULD SMOKE HIM TRUE STORY

  • @THEZOOKEEPERR Navy Seal's have to be the best so why would they just do simple work outs? There is alot more and if you can do what they all do then good for you, I have no problem with that. But till you try, dont preach.

  • @ClarkeGarbutt Actually I met a SEAL before (he was on his way to leaving the Navy) and I was more fit than him

And SEALs aren't the best -- it's DELTA

Aaaaaaaaaand I'm a Real Estate Developer (soon-to-be) all I'm saying is I can do what they do maybe not at DELTA level, but most most likely at SEAL level true story

  • @THEZOOKEEPERR ost of them can run half marathons and or marathons can you do this? Many Ironman competitors actually fail the training because of the mental requirements. You may can do it, but when you start adding all the days together, and the fact your doing all this soaking wet in cold water EVERYDAY ALL DAY. It makes stuff mentally harder. Being wet shouldn't prohibit your performance, but your mind is going to be forcing you to quit. That's why BUD/s is so renowned. For making people quit

  • @AgentSpiral ACTUALLY, MOST PEOPLE WHO JOIN THE MILITARY IN GENERAL ARE MEATHEADS OR REDNECKS OR MINORITIES -- MOST OF WHOM LACK SOMETHING FUNDAMENTAL TO BE A PART OF A SF UNIT. I CAN RUN A HALF MARATHON, AND I'M A REAL ESTATE DEVELOPER

MOST PPL QUIT BUD/S BC AS I SAID MOST PEOPLE WHO JOIN THE MILITARY ARE MEATHEADS, REDNECKS, MINORITIES. SO THE DROPOUT RATE ISN'T A BIG DEAL

  • @THEZOOKEEPERR Sure your a real estate developer.. that's also why you TALK LIKE THIS, and can't spell worth a damn. Get your ass on of the internet and stop being a troll, you couldn't even pass the test it takes to go to BUD/s.

  • @AgentSpiral NOT YET. I'M WAITING ON A $100M ($100,000,000) CHECK SOON. I CAN EASILY RETIRE FOREVER BUT I DON'T LIKE TO SIT AROUND DOING NOTHING.

AS PER YOUR PRE-BUD/s WHATEVER, YOU'RE A DUMBASS. I COULD HAVE DONE THAT SHIT WHEN I WAS 22. I'M 25 NOW

  • @THEZOOKEEPERR your so full of shit if your such a bad ass you'd be a seal not some nerdy real estate developer. Dont talk shit you have no idea what they go through to be elite soldiers.. I and nobody else on here believe you...

  • this is so homosexual

  • i was always instructed to go a lil slower thru the reps and u get better muscle development

  • That's some pussy workout esp for someone who calls himself a SEAL instructor

  • @THEZOOKEEPERR Really? Lets see you do it.

  • @slipdude209 Do what he did? You're kidding right? I'm a soon-to-be Real Estate Developer and I can do that even while sleep deprived. For someone who's whole career is being basically a personal trainer for SEALs? That's a joke man

  • @THEZOOKEEPERR Well then lets see it.

  • @slipdude209 Wait, are you serious? Or are you mocking him and the workout? I'm serious. I can't tell if you're fucking with me bc I can't see you or hear your tone of voice (sarcasm)

  • @THEZOOKEEPERR You're talking the talk, so walk the walk. Don't call something a pussy workout unless you wanna show us you can do it at his level.

  • @THEZOOKEEPERR chill out, the seals is one of the military branches that protects your freedom in america. without them, im sure you wouldnt be a soon-to-be real estate developer so atleast show them some respect

  • @bb33nnii wth r u talking about I said this looks and is easy and someone went apeshit on me and I was merely like: "ur kidding right?" I respect them; I'm just sayin that workout is pussylike true story

  • @THEZOOKEEPERR im not sure if u ever experienced the workouts to be calling it pussy-like. seriously man, dont judge the books by its covers. im sure navy seals dont just do these workout all day, they have a different routine than you think. if you u actually exceed their physical demands, then good for you, but there is no reason to bash on them. think of it this way, just because your more physically fit than others, it doesnt mean you should call others "weak" or "pussies", respect others

  • ดีมากๆเลยครับ ไขข้อข้องใจมานานเเล้ว ขอบคุณมากๆครับ

  • @HermanTheGreat and Dorkster81, are you guys SEALs or Spec. Ops.? Just curious, there's a lot of posers out there.

  • 99.9% of people that even end up entering the military simply won't want to give the type of commitment it requires to become a SEAL. Most drop out because they realize they don't want it enough. It's not for them. Most spec ops are introverted and and or adrenaline junkies. You will give up the best years of your life, you will give up your body, most likely your family if you can even have one, you will live in pain in your retirement from injuries(that is if your not killed before that).

  • Chuck Norris does this before bedtime to relax himself.

  • there are 11 al qaeda watching this

  • america fuck yeah

  • Lieutenant DANNNN lol jk i saw his real name just couldn't resist

  • Awesome workout keep your shoulders down and relaxed to feel the complete benefits of a core workout. Most of the exercises you are using are a close relative to Pilates so remember you can double you benefits by breathing out during the push. Keep it up and you will have less back problems on your mission. Peace

  • Proof that not many Americans aren't fat

  • @BluLetters How does that proove anything? On a sample of two people, two were healthy. Fine scientific proof indeed.

  • Bear Grylls can do this while drinking his own piss.

  • YEA GO AMERICA!

  • 00:48 - "use a dowell, a pcv pipe, or a broomstick for this movement "

    Then he says....

01:27 - "if the weight becomes too much to manage, you can go ahead and dump it forward"

01:34 - "for this exercise you do not use spotters. Its imperative you do not have anyone spotting you, because you can drop the weight on them" The seals must use some really heavy PVC piping for their exercises surely.....or....the guy is a moron and forgot what he said just 7 seconds earlier? I'm going with idiot.

  • @mrgingetastic dude, they were using the broom or piece of wood as an example, at the end they show how you're supposed to do it, with a bloody great weight.

  • So this is what Dave Castro from Crossfit was doing back in the Navy!

  • let me just pull out my glute and ham developer

  • @howsquiffy A lot of gyms have them. They showed you substitues in their place if you don't.

  • @howsquiffy you can make your own easily. just cement a pair of shoes or boots into a wall.

  • Castro would be in the US Navy.

  • @jphrockstar as an anchor :-)

  • @richard20bris hahaha Yeah for real

  • hey i am 18 getting a major in Athletic training and im working on my second degree black belt for taekwondo. I want to be a SEAL and then either help train or do some kind of medical job for the Navy any general suggestions that could help me on this path?

  • @TheMossad921 i believe your gonna have to join the military to be promoted to seal or whatever you want....its a training course, its QUIT or graduate.... no (you are dropped cause you suck) its process of elimination

To give you an idea of how seals think and act

i met a guy who seen a seal sit in fridgit water....like ICE ICE ICE cold, where you can screw your body up.... he sat in it for 15 minutes..... got out, put his pistol back together in seconds, then hit a target 50 feet away

  • @Dorkster81 so are you sayin as long as you dont quit you will pass essentially?

  • @TheMossad921 yes but understand the seals, and every high ranking mility has a breaking point

if you watch G.I.Jane thats pretty acurate at the time of seal training....

They say in the 1st day, you don't stop training till 1 person quits...... understand your up against people who train just as hard as you and some are mental.....as in psycho...and crazy ( you have to be to be a seal or anything like that) so the whole day you train.......running, lifting shit that you shouldn't be,

  • @Dorkster81 thats what i want i think i do my best when i see others fail because it reinforces why im there its why i did good in cross country because every time i passed someone or saw someone slow down it gave me more motivation than anything else

  • @TheMossad921 and then after that, the seal commander in the movie said "60% of you will not pass this course...its a FACT!" meaning.... he doesn't say "you suck LEAVE" everyone QUITS....and the course doesn't end till 60 men QUIT......thats who they choose for SEAL training

and you do crazy shit dude i hope your up for it cause...1 thing they make you do (its int he movie too) and is true, they DROWN you.....do you trust someone with your life like that to drown you?

  • @Dorkster81 you cant exactly prepare yourself to get drowned lol but yeah right now i am not pysically ready but i will be and the only reason im doing it is for the immense challenge life is too boring and dull for me i need more out of life and i want to be test to see what im made of so when i can finally be proud of something ive done for once

  • @TheMossad921

im not saying you cant become a navy seal... but you better get it through to your head, it comes down to seconds on a march and/or some of the finest details... they dont care about you, you are a number to them if you get hurt kiss that dream goodbye... so stay light on your feet and sharp in the mind

  • @Dorkster81 You're giving alot of good advice to people who will try to be SEALs. Alot of people simply don't understand the level of mental toughness, focus, and lack of freedom to live their future in the way they want that is required by elite force military squads. Even in the regular army/navy/marines/coast guard you get leave of duty(vacation), sometimes good deployments, average work etc. Elite forces require your life, most likely you won't be able to hold a family together.

  • @HermannTheGreat Second that! RAW!

  • @Dorkster81 And that is even if they can get past the first day or two of physical conditioning. I knew of a few very well conditioning guys who went into the army and talked just about how difficult it was to even become an Army Ranger, how tons and tons of people dropped out. SEALS, delta force, etc. are a step above that and require even more dedication and training. Say goodbye to your life doing what you want. You are a tool of the government and will not be able to control your future.

  • @HermannTheGreat , heh thanks i wanted to join too, and kinda asked questions about different levels you can move up too. and i actually got lucky and met a few people who mad RANGER, or other types of levels i met a marine who was security at a club...(yes my first question was WHY YOU HERE?) anywho, he tried out of like combat instruct, they had 30 try outs and only 6 made it......and he and the 6 got broken bones while trying out =\ and thats COMBAT INSTRUCT X_x

  • @TheMossad921

No, Dorkster81 has no idea what he is talking about. Do you really think you should take advice from someone that is using G.I. Jane as a reference. You can be dropped from training for lack of performance and because you suck. Every week the standards increase. The 4 mile run time is lowered each week and the obstacle course time. Do you really think the SEALs want someone that runs 4 miles in 1 hour. . .but as long as he doesn't quit. Read The Warrior Elite by Dick Couch.

  • @JayPull85 Actually sorry to burst your bubble, but according to what Navy SEALS have said, G.I. Jane is one of the most accurate depictions of elite forces training and preparation.

  • @JayPull85 you should do your research..... the director and people of GI JANE got alot of shit after it cam eout by the military.... the reason the movie is pretty up to date (at that time) was cause they paid a seal (or seals) to tell the REAL story...but again the military seals were very upset cause they were TRADE secrets and the honor code, E.I. Ringing of the bell

or my personal favorite the water torture scene (btw they do do that, they litrally DROWN you

  • @TheMossad921 oh he hit the target dead center......bullseyes heh like a dart board......

  • remember this is an instructional video.

  • dude my Marine recruiter was bigger than this guy?

i'll stick to the marines, much respect for all branches tho

    merry christmas yall!

  • @903mosher a bullet still puts your down the same who cares if he's bigger it wont help in combat

  • @903mosher a bullet still puts your down the same who cares if he's bigger it wont help in combat

  • @TheMossad921 but if you train it'll matter if your the wimp who can only carry a lil smg with no gear (no armor) compared to the guy whos in shape that can run with a flank jacket, padding, a heavier gun, and tactical gear, while doing 5 miles.... you have a uzi....bad accuracy and mabye 20 in a clip, he has a m60 100 rounds, good range, and probably good accuracy ...hmmmmm =]

  • this is really just a simple version of what the SEALS actually do. GO NAVY!!!

  • this is really just a simple version of what the SEALS actually do. GO NAVY!!!

  • @UnitedStatesNavy hello how much do we need to workout to see progres?

  • I was expecting a tough 300 endurance workout.....

  • Hi PyschoticChimp, how are you?the problem doesn't who Italian, but i have very problem to work in hostle zones, and i have very military experience,i had training with Israelian and American mlitary.

  • hes tuffffffffffffff

  • I do every day simil training(in Italy)and i have the results very good, i have a lot of patience because i'll want to go to hostile areas but i have me problem because i'm Italian, who can help me,my mail is padyy@libero.it ,thanks and all people training training training

  • @ThePadyy what problem? Being Italian doesn't hinder a good workout...

  • @PyschoticChimp Hi PyschoticChimp, how are you?the problem doesn't who Italian, but i have very problem to work in hostle zones, and i have very military experience,i had training with Israelian and American mlitary.

  • i'm slightly confused, cuz I could have sworn that some other fitness dude said at some point that not keeping your legs bent during a situp puts strain on your back

  • @DUKE1349 Try it a few times slowly and you will feel which way puts strain on the back. It's like if you arch your chest when benching; you take the weight off the chest when you do so.

  • 5:08 looks so funny to me i dont know why :D

  • this is Crossfit.

  • I wonder if these guys are really SEALs...

  • @100tonlifter - When you see a title in-front of the persons name, yes, the other people are probably just trainers, I am pretty sure it is not an requirement to be a SEAL in order to personally train them during certain type of fitness sessions.

  • @djmopa Ah. Thanks man for clearing that up.

  • You can do the glute hams hanging off the side of your bed.and you can do flutter kicks on your bed too.

  • A better exercise is turn face down at 4:40 and hold two dumbbells (each 50 lbs) with the arm fully extended to the side. (like lat raises but facing down and do flys. This exercise really rips the back. The best exercise I ever found for explosiveness was to ride a bike with torque turned up as high as it will go, and pedal as fast as you can for 3 to 5 minutes. It builds the lung and blood power. I used to be able to do a 1050 lb one leg press on the gladiator machines from the 3rd position.

  • Oh how I wish I had a glute ham raise.

  • @thabest1995 glute ham glaze.......urggggahhrhhhurggahh

  • feels good eating dorritos and drinking coke while watching this.

  • @shoegazer666 thats why your fat!!!

  • @shoegazer666 you can eat anything you want just as long as you excercise daily. like me :)

  • @shoegazer666

lmfao rofl @ your comment!!!1You crazay ass hell for that one!!!

  • @shoegazer666 hahaha that was a crazy ass comment I love it

  • @shoegazer666 shit man, tell me about it. I'm training now to get ready for OFC, and you just made me feel terrible about watching this while drinking a beer haha

  • @shoegazer666 YOU'RE A DICK!

  • @shoegazer666 ayyy...wait a cottin pickin min....n i'm drinkin a bud n puffin it too...lmfao...

  • @shoegazer666 Good post

  • This a a great workout, now let me pull that equipment out of my closet a sec so I can do all these exercises.

  • Great video. But he is locking his knees out with the overhead squats, and it just looks painful. I am by no means a fitness guru, but I know locking out the major joints is a no-no.

  • actually here's a nice tip for all you guys who want to do endurance. start with 20 push ups and start adding just 1 more each day, that just 1 more slightly increase your strenght and endurance each time you do it, I started with 20, now I do 90 a day, without rest, tommorow 91. try it, and if you stick to it you'll be even better at this than a seal!

  • @zolauwe13 That's actually a very good tip.

  • the info is appreciated

  • Very well thought out. Thanks for sharing.

  • dudes so beast.

  • This is really good workout to get injury of backbone...

  • whats the Navy SEALs view on weight bearing exercises it seems in training they do solely body weight exercises? Pros vs cons???

  • @JandA75cent

Don't be fooled, seals focus on weight bearing exercises as well, the reason for the focus on body weight is for endurance.

  • what a beast.

  • i m gona do this for my girl

  • if i were able to pull of these exercises...i would be able to lose the remaining 30 lbs in 1.5 months...!!!these are so intense...really good advice to do situps without a buddy...!! thanks

  • It's amazing how effortlessly he did those excercises...Just shows how much training/work they must really do

  • when do i do these?

    ?

  • @Rumpilsify need for speed Monday, core advantage Tuesday, Basic 101 Wednesday, stay strong Thursday, strength training Friday, rest SAT/SUN

  • @Rekcals25 Rofl you destroyed him.

  • Tuck your shirt in! :-)

  • hey man u have no right to offend me cuz i havent offended u,it looks like this is your hobby huh ?offending people ?u should try another hobby, going to the subject again,if a normal person joins the military and becomes a soldier or marines after 15 weeks then how come an MMA figther cant ?to be a seal requires more conditioning than u think and basic training or bootcamp just isnt enough, that's why only a few people r selected, brock lesnar ?i hate that guy.....

  • are u dumb? did u even read my comment

  • anyone got any good tips im british and want to join the royal marines but my runnings total crap any advice from military fitness enthusiasts appreciated

  • practice, practice, practice. start running. slowly, over months, your stamina will improve. focus on your diet too; eliminate simple sugars, add protein, reduce saturated fat. incorporate weights with core exercises (i.e. farmer's walk).

  • @macky111222 two tips that will help you out:

    1. stop putting it off! You dont get in shape being a couch commando.

    2. set a goal and push yourself to reach it. Do some research, set a goal, reach it. If youre not a strong runner run more. If you need upper body strength, pushup pull ups ect. WORK HARD and you will see huge gains

  • i know a navy seal and he runs 10 miles a day with a barbell weighing at 135 pounds resting on his shoulders.

  • he is a beast then lmao

  • HOOAH! ... and I want one of those Glute/Ham things :)

  • this is good stuff. many people focus strength training on brute strength, not endurance. endurance muscles are what gets you through a long day. even back in basic training we had a guy that benched 400pounds, but when it came to pushups, he was hardly better than the average new recruit! why? he had muscle strength that could do A LOT for a couple reps, but no endurance, stamina, he totally struggled with running. yet he could squat more than anyone else with ease. it comes down to endurance
