Oh come on mate, it was the shoe gazing period in music, plenty of bands like this, let the music speak for itself. Miserable??, hey The Smiths made a career out of it.
At 4:40 you can hear the ending of True Dream Coming as it is fading out. It's a shame that the performance of that song wasn't shown in its entirity. It's such a cool song.
thanks for this - happy memories! saw them twice - supporting the Wedding Present in London & the Boo Radleys in Brighton. Kinky Love is one of my fav tracks of all time.
Souvenirs indeed (high school ones mostly). I couldn't make it to the 4AD Anniversary at the Ancienne Belgique though, so I gave my ticket and the recorder to a friend of mine, so I could still listen to their show. Fortunatelly I caught up with them later when they opened up for the Pixies in Deinze. There should be more Pale Saints/Ian Master songs on YouTube!
God I love this band! Wish there was some kinda shoegaze reunion tour.

Comforts is in my top ten albums of all time. Thank God I got a chance to see them at CBGB's before they broke up.

It's a shame they did a Spinal Tap and added their girlfriends to the band - they had ENORMOUS potential.

I have to get my balls deep into my chest to sing that high. This guy's testosterone level rivals that of my little sister.
