  • does it have to be applecider vinegar, its impossible to bye in denmark where i live? (: anyway, love your channel, its so helpful each time. thank you

  • @MegaFreak952802 Hi, apple cider vinegar is recommended for this process. You can use white vinegar as a replacement if you cannot find apple cider vinegar.

  • does it have to be warm water?

  • @Pathrissia It's just more comfortable and usually has a more conditioning affect on hair than cold water. I don't recommend using hot water though.

  • FYI: IF YOU HAVE LIGHT HAIR(Light Brown to Blonde), WHITE VINEGAR is a better choice as it does not generally leave red/coppery/brassy tones in lighter colored hair the way Apple Cider Vinegar does. I add a stong infusion of Chamomile or Green Tea to my bottle of white vinager(50/50 mix). Leave on 10 minuets or so. Really leaves light hair brighter w/ golden highlights. CIDER VINEGAR is great(and preferred) for darker hair though- you could add rosemary, sage or black tea for brunett highlights.

  • You are really very smart! Love your videos so much! Thanks for sharing! :)

  • It's true it works. Took a bath with some apple cider vinegar. I noticed right away my hair was soft, shiny and best of all less frizzy :)

  • do i need to make sure i get it on the roots? should i massage it into my scalp?

  • @whitechick024 Hi, just rinse it through your hair. You can lift and move your hair so that the rinse gets all areas. No need to massage it in.

  • does this remove bright hair colours?? :)

  • Hi, you definitely want to wait a week after you color your hair before using this as it can remove freshly applied color.

  • Respond to this video... Also she recommends warm water but cold water is 10x better. Cold water makes hair shiny and prevents hair from becoming oily as well. This is also why many blow dryers have a cold shot button not just to set the style but because it gives shine.

Just keep the bottle near you're bathroom window if you make big batches.

A cold shock will wake you up and actually refresh you even though the first few times will take some getting used to.

  • Hello, I was wondering if apple cider vinegar washes away the keratin treatment from the hair. I'm always using the vinegar on my last rinse but if it's no good for the treatment it's better I stop... But I have no clue....

  • Hi, since apple cider vinegar is used to clarify and remove buildup from your hair, I would say it will probably wash away your keratin treatment. It's probably best if you avoid using your keratin treatment when you use the apple cider vinegar. Also, using apple cider vinegar rinse is really not something to do every time you wash your hair, but perhaps every other week or so as a special rinse to restore your hair.

  • geez good that i still have my apple cider and im about to try it now..thank u so much

  • whats quart? a quarter?

  • Hi, a quart is four 8 oz. cups.

  • @YouTips4U thanks for that. I was wondering do u think this product will help minimise hair loss? i have very bad hair loss :(

  • hi mam does vinager stop dandruff??

  • Hi, yes, it can definitely be helpful so some. Give it a try and see if it works for you.

  • Will regular vinegar work too?

  • @emilymichelle21

difference between regular vinegar and apple cider vinegar is that vinegar is reallly acidic (higher ph levels) and will rather destroy, weaken and dry your hair than a more base low ph apple cider vinegar.

  • How about white vinegar?

  • Hi, you can use that as well. That's especially good for very blond hair.

  • how often should i do this?

  • Hi, it really depends on how often you feel you have product buildup. You'll definitely want to do it then. You can also do it to achieve lovely shine, perhaps once every other week.

  • Where would one find the apple cider vinegar in the store? Would it be, say, the cooking section? I have never bought it before. Thanks.

  • Hi, you can usually find it with the salad dressings.

  • Hello, I've noticed it really helps with my dandruff. I'm wondering if it would be safe to wash with this maybe three days a week and never use shampoo anymore? and just conditioner when needed? I know its similar to the pH of our scalp & skin and most shampoos are way to high on the pH being way too alkaline. thanks!

  • Hi, I have heard of people who have stopped using shampoo use ACV to wash their hair, but I have not tried it myself.

  • @AndreaJuliet vinegar is too strong so only occasional use would be fine

  • Thank you for the help on hair growth but will it work for african american decent people with slow growing hair?

  • Hi, definitely as it helps all hair that may have product buildup. I would not use it too often since African American hair can be prone to dryness because of the intense curl. Very often the scalp oil does not get down the hair shaft. I would only use it as necessary to remove buildup and increase shine. Perhaps twice a month.

  • You look a lot like Meredith Grey from Grey's Anatomy!

  • i did it right now and it feels very soft and smooth!!!!! Thank you very much , it maintains my frizz.

  • is it dangerous to close the cuticles too much because i was thinking of doing this then putting my hair into ice cold water to close them

  • Hi, I always recommend a cold water rinse after you condition your hair. I have been doing that for years. It's really great for shine!

  • i love apple cider only i use braggs raw organic cider with the mother in it

  • You are very beautiful.

  • thanks for the advice. how often should you do this? once a week? once a month? thanks again for all your help

  • Perhaps twice a month or whenever you feel you have product buildup or your hair looks dull.

  • Thank You for Posting!!!

but i was wondering what could be the difference in using apple cider vinegar and using reg vinegar? could i use the reg one or dose it have to be the apple cider vinegar?

  • Hi, I'm not sure about using red vinegar. I have heard of using white vinegar, but not red vinegar. Sorry I can't of more help on that.

  • okayy.... :)

  • Could I use the vinegar rinse and then use a homemade hair mask in my hair?

  • Hi, I would save that for a day that you don't use the vinegar rinse.

  • Hi! thanks for your video! Does the vinegar have to be organic? or will it work as good if it's not?

  • Hi, no it does not. Regular apple cider vinegar is fine.

  • hi, i was wondering if you can use your normal styling products after using the rinse, such as conditioner and hair spray/gel

  • Hi, yes you can.

  • i hear about this in a magazine, but the magazine said that u use it as a pre-shampoo treatment, leave it in for 3mins and then follow with your hair cleansing thing, or else it smells...

  • I made the mistake of using ACV straight. The PH of acv is like 3! Your hair needs a PH of like 5. So Its better to mix it with water which is PH of 7 and help balance it. I will try again.

When I used ACV straight, it just made my hair feel very rough. I had to quickly apply aloe vera to help my hair go back to normal.

  • can i do it everyday?

  • Hi, I don't recommend it for daily use. At the most once per week.

  • This rinse is awesome! Thanks so much for posting this!!!!

  • Good women, I like your style

  • Does it smell bad

  • Hi, once your hair is dry, you won't smell it at all.

  • Yes this video was very helpful. Thanks for posting and the benefits of the ACV Rinse.

  • ur hair tips r really good

  • This would definitely help, I'm just wondering if it has to be apple cider vinegar or can I just use any vinegar? Thank you for this tip!

  • @xoNoellee Hi, Apple Cider Vinegar is the best one to use,, but you can use white vinegar as well.

  • It's a wonderful tip but i'm a bit confused on 1 thing. You said to pour the rinse on you hair after after you shampoo, does that mean i should wash out the shampoo before you pour it on or pour it on with the shampoo in you hair.I've been rinsing the shampoo put before i pour on the vinegar. Thank you for the useful tip!

  • @kyuu129 Hi, you want to rinse out your shampoo first, then apply the ACV rinse.

  • I used it for my hair today and it really works! thank you for this great tips!! :)

  • You're very welcome :o)

  • will just vinegar work on hair

  • Hi, you can use white vinegar.

  • can u use normal vinegar instead

  • Hi, you can use white vinegar.

  • im glad that i found this because i think that i had product build up and im about to try this.. i will let you know how it goes thanks

  • This video is great. Thank you so much. You always provide invaluable information. I also love your decorating choices. I would like to do youtube vids in my living room by my lighting is terrible everywhere in my house. I like muted light, which doesn't translate to great vids.

  • Hi, thanks so much for the terrific feedback and for your compliment on my decorating. I appreciate that. I know what you mean about the lighting. What you can do is adjust your video when you work on it in Windows Movie Maker or whatever program you use. You can make the video brighter!

  • i used your vinegar rinse on my hair. it works and works well. everyone has been asking how my hair is growing so fast, shiny and smooth. guess what? i had a few gray hairs near the nape of my head. i plucked them out. i used your vinegar rinse and they grew back in its natural colour. thanks girl!

  • That's wonderful! Thanks so much for sharing :o)

  • your so helpful and sweet

  • I want you to know it does wonders on Black hair. I have tired it personally myself being a black female.

  • Hi, thanks so much for sharing!

  • i know that acv does kill germs, so can i use it in place of my shampoo? also is it safe to use for every time u wash ur hair

  • Hi, I would not recommend using Apple Cider Vinegar instead of shampoo. Shampoo is a cleanser and removes dirt and oil from your hair. ACV can be used as a rinse after shampooing to remove product build up. I don't recommend using it every time your wash because that would probably be too drying since it has a clarifying affect on hair. Use it periodically for best results.

  • does it take die out ?

  • Hi, it's best not to use it right after you have freshly colored your hair because it can cause some of your color to fade or change. Wait a week or two, then you should be fine.

  • Hi, rinsing your hair with a mixture of water and Apple Cider Vinegar does help dandruff, however, I have not heard about combining it with a dandruff shampoo. Sorry. Please check out my latest video on help for dandruff.

  • Hey, thanks for this. I heard about the rinse but wasn't sure how much I was supposed to use., so this was helpful.

  • Hey! I did this today and it made my hair FABULOUS! I LOVE how my hair feels! It did exactly what you said it would do.

Also, my roommate tried regular vinegar and it did not have the same affects as the apple cider vinegar.

  • That's terrific! Thanks so much for stopping back to sharing your great feedback :o)

  • will regular vingegar work?

  • Hi, I have heard white vinegar can be used on your hair as well, but I have never tried it so I don't know the outcome. If you give it a try, let me know what you think. I have heard it to be more useful for blond hair.

  • I am worried that the ACV will take the benefit away from the moisturizer... when you add the ACV .. then rinse you can add more moisture to your ends then rinse ends...to keep the soft moisturizer fill to your hair..

I used ACV b4 and my hair was very nice and shinny..

    Regards,

    Kim = Ethnic Hair Growth

  • Hi Kim, you can condition your ends if you feel you need to after you rinse out the ACV. Remember, ACV should not be used frequently. It's a treatment to be used occasionally, or whenever you feel you have product buildup.

  • you're in such great shape, can you tell us what is your workout regime and diet please? i struggle with my weight and you really inspire me =) great videos by the way. take care!

  • Hi, thank you for your lovely compliment! I talk a lot about what I do for exercise in my forum videos. Please check them out when you have time. Please also check out my portion control video because that's basically how I eat. Several small meals/portions throughout the day and I pay special attention to each of the food groups to make sure I'm getting the proper nutrition.

  • I just used this remedy yesterday after I shampooed and I have to say...I'm impressed. I thought that my hair would feel like straw, but it felt like the best conditioner had just been put through it!! I'm amazed by this stuff!! I use it as a toner and used it on my husbands mole and it is working wonders!! So cheap too...how can you go wrong :)

  • Hi, thanks so much for the terrific feedback! I'm so glad you found this video helpful :o)

  • will just regular vinegar work?

  • I heard the organic stuff works better..so I went to a health foods store near me and got the organic stuff.

  • Hi again YouTips4U :)

Do you know if apple cider vinegar can be used for a facial toner & if is so how it should be done?

  • Hi, yes it can! It's wonderful for oily skin, to help clear up blemishes, and to tighten large pores. Be sure to mix it with an equal amount of water before applying to your face.

  • I didn't have apple cider so I tried regular vinegar and it worked wonders!

  • you do not wanna use normal vinegar, white vinegar is acidic (acid forming) apple cider vnegar is akaline (ph balancing) ;) its pretty cheap, pick some up from the store next time you go and put it on your shopping list.

  • I tried that recently. It felt much more "free" afterwards, I hadn't noticed that I had a product built up.

It would be great to hear more about apple cider vinegar from you :)

  • Hi, glad you liked it. Sometimes you really don't notice you have a build up because it's subtle, but you then, just as you said, you notice the difference after you use the rinse. I actually do have an upcoming video on more benefits of Apple Cider Vinegar, so stay tuned! Thanks so much for sharing your feedback with me and others :o)

  • My Mother said her Grandma use to use apple vinegar to remove shampoo resdue from her and her sisters hair.

  • Hi, it's definitely been a wonderful product for many years. Thanks for sharing :o)

  • Ooh can't wait to try this one!

  • Hi, wait a while to do this because you just gave yourself an olive oil treatment and you don't want to wash it all away. This rinse is great when you have product buildup.

  • Well, tonight the oilive stays in my hair and tomorrow my hair gets apple cider vinager. Can't wait for the result!! Thanks again!!!

  • Please write back and share your results!! I love leaving olive oil on my hair overnight. I get such amazing softness!

  • I did the olive oil treatment on my hair last night (over night) and the results were amaaazing! Sofest hair I've had in a long time. In a few days I will do the Apple Cider Rinse. I didn't want to overwelm my hair... (if that's possible). Results to be announced. :)

  • Good idea! That way you can judge each independently to see how your hair reacts. Since Apple Cider Vinegar is used to remove residue and buildup of oil and products, you probably would have counteracted your olive oil conditioning treatment.

  • wow good tip! So, should I shampoo my hair when I use this vinegar or no? and how often should I do this? please respond :) thaanx

  • Hi, you rinse your hair with it after you shampoo. You can still condition your hair a bit with your conditioner after you rinse with it if you want. I wouldn't recommend using it more than once a week. It really depends on your hair. When you start to see it have product buildup or looking a bit heavy or flat, that would be a good time.

  • does it have to be Apple Cider Vinegar?? can it be red wine vinegar?

  • Hi, I've not heard anything about using red wine vinegar on hair.

  • I like to keep my hair straight and flat because I dont like the volume. but I also want it to be really shiny and look more healthy. Will flat-ironing my hair take away the shine that apple cider vinegar gives it?

  • Hi, it shouldn't. Thanks for your question :o)

  • thank you =]

now can you tell me, is there a such thing as hair polish?

and if there is, do you know of a brand?

oh and does the water always have to be warm when you mix it with apple cider vineger?

  • Yes, I've heard of and seen a product at Sally Beauty Supply called David Babaii for WildAid Hair Polish. I'm sure there are other brands. I've never used it, but I've heard good things about it. It's a leave-in conditioner that you use before blow drying or flat ironing your hair to protect it against the heat and give you great shine. I suggest warm water for your apple cider rinse because warm water opens the cuticle and allows for better conditioning.

  • oki thank you. =]

but I thot if i wanted to get shine i needed to close the cuticle.

    ?

  • You can also close the cuticle by rinsing your hair with cold water when your done shampooing and conditioning it.

  • i do use 1 table spoon in one cup and rinse my hair with it after shampoo and leave it on . i do that everyother day!!

  • That's great! I've never left it on, but I'm going to try it :o)

  • how often should I apply it in a day if I wanna grow my fringe till my mouth?Itt's now at my eyebrows:(

  • Hi, apple cider vinegar is not meant to be used on your hair every day. It is something that you use occasionally to remove product build up to revitalize your hair and nourish your scalp. The most it should really be used is once a week. Thanks so much for your comment!

  • will this cause hair dye to come out??? i just dyed it

  • Hi, It does not strip permanent hair coloring but it's possible it can change the shade, so it's probably best to avoid it if you just dyed your hair. It takes a few days for your hair dye to adhere properly so even shampooing right after coloring is not advised. It's probably a better idea if you wait until just before your next color treatment and then go ahead and try rinsing with it, that way if you notice any change you'll be dying again anyway.

  • k thanks

  • Oh cool i will try this now o.o Tyyy~

  • cider vinegar is truly wonderful stuff...so many uses.....I use a few drops in a large glass of water to drink when I am dieting and I don`t know if it is psycological but I believe it does help me loseweight..42 pounds in 7 months eating sensibly of course....it obviously works for you as you have fabulous hair.....regards...joey

  • Thanks For The Advice I Might Try It Someday(:

By The Way By Younger Cousin Just Turned 13 Years Old, Is It Possible That She Can Use The Vinegar In Her Hair? Or Do You Advise Not Too, Since Shes In A Pretty Young Age?

  • She can definitely use it, but make sure you tell her that it's not something to do every day. The most it should be used is once per week because it is acidic and is meant to remove build up which occurs over time to your hair. I use it maybe once or twice per month depending on how my hair is feeling to me. Thanks for your comment!!.

  • my hair is about 4 to 5 in. shorter than urs, how much do i use ?

  • I usually make about two cups and pour it on hair. That's usually plenty. I'm sure you'll find that it''s enough for you too. That would be two tablespoons in two cups of water.

  • thanks, i cant wait to try it ovr the weekend [i have too many tests this week to try it during the week :'( ]

  • Studying is much more important. Good luck with your tests!!

  • thanx :)

  • you remind me of that barbie doll in toy story at the end (not in a bad way) i love the tips thanx

  • Oh, that's funny! No one has ever told me that before. I used to love barbie growing up so I'll take that as a compliment :o)

  • you should still use a clarifying shampoo to get rid of build up but the vinegar is good after you shampoo.

  • i will try it (: thanks i love your videos! xxx

  • Thank You!

  • thanks u do a good research and help others , thanks again.

  • Thank you; I appreciate your feedback. I really try my best :o)
