yess! the passaic river, that dirty ass river haha. ive lived in harrison for all of my 19 years. the passaic river separates newark and harrison.
at 2:09. the bridge that is standing up is called the Annie Bridge. if you watch the movie 'Annie' the one that came out in 1982, that is the same bridge that she climbs up. It's located in East Newark, a tiny town right next to Harrison.
and the bridge after that is Stickle Bridge in Harrison. Rt. 280 runs through it
where was that room with the cool decorative motifs?
I spent my first 14 years of life about 100 yards from the Passaic River. Riverside Ave in Lyndhurst, to be exact. We used to play there all of the time. We would throw rocks at the bodies as they floated past!
lmao i had to clean the garfield side for the river for sunday school.... friggin deformed fish there. everyone was scared that they were going to get out of there with a mutation
I live 2 blocks from the Road where the girl walks at midnight. She was killed on her prom night or something like that. A word of advice... DON'T GO THERE UNLESS YOU HAVE A PORTO-POTTY. You WILL have the living #### scared of you! You can walk down that road, at night and, YOU KNOW, there's someone walking right behind you! I will NEVER go down that road again. And I'm 49! This all happened when I was 21-22....
Your talking about Annie's Road in Totowa/West Paterson, NJ where Midgetville is also located on that road, they really ruined Midgetville by building up the homes to normal size, I remember when the houses were so tiny.
just wondering if this was specifically the passaic river area or if it includes when it flows into the ramapo and such? As far as I know they do connect.
Some of the Passaic's tributaries are discussed and explored, such as the Rockaway, Pompton and Pequanock Rivers, but I do not think the Ramapo is among them.
Ah okay. I think I was raised on the Pompton/Pequannock part in Lincoln Park. . I am not sure which it is, but it flows past my childhood home. They called us "river rats". I am very proud of that area and the nasty river. The home where I grew up was once a beach area and was quite popular in the early 1900s. My great grandmother used to go there to swim (when it was still safe).
I have been a fan of Weird NJ for years. I moved out of Jersey 9 years ago and still try to keep up. I am horrified by the defaced American flag. I don't see how that has anything to do with your magazine or your party.
i wish i was able to go. i get go back home for a summer break, but in August... oh well being in Jersey is good enough for me. while im at it i want to pick up the last weird nj book. for some odd reason i cant find it in FL.
kool passaic i alway see this guy on da boat in passaic river i think it was him. but like is there a place we can visit or sumthing else.... another thing its say passaic but why da way @ Morristown?
The party's in Morristown because the author works at that bar and the owners are very proud (as they should be) and want to through a big bash to celebrate.
is there any more creepy things in rockaway besides Satan's chaple and split rock
