I love how prescient this song is. Almost thirty years after it was written, Ivy Leaguers and prestigious liberal arts grads - young people who would have traditionally gone to Wall St. - are joining the internet / film / tv industry by the bus load.

Yeah but are you aware that Tina spread this great rumor that David killed someone. I could actually see David doing that, however, where's the loyalty? Supposedly that's why they never reunited.
Perfect slice of '70s "Old Heads" before they leap into the new material (Speaking in Tongues) with the next number, and begin expanding past the basic band.
I was fortunate enough to see Talking Heads the first time they were in my area at the Main Point in Ardmore on New Years Eve 1977. I've been hooked ever since. I have seen them many other times. Including one show at the Philadelphia Zoo. I got to party with them and they autographed my '77 album.....it was awesome......................................
I miss them........but am glad I can still see vids and listen to their music......Thanks so much!!!
That scritchy little guitar and amazing free-associative David Byrne lyrics...The high point of my late 80s life. "Judie's in the bedroom inventing situations..."

Shame this band broke up. Bryne solo is cool and all but the combination with these 4 is about 100x better.

Boy this music reminds me of when I was a kid back in the 80s. I used to have my dad take me to rent this when I would visit him on the weekends.

I was given FEAR of Music for Christmas 1979..
After the holidays, I went out and bought all the previous albums...I couldn't believe the gold on those vinyl discs...

Tina Weymouth doesn't get the credit she's due as a bassist!! This bass line is funky, fun & she keeps it in the pocket. U GO WOMAN!!!

That's a great shot at the end with Jerry, Dave and Tina all in a line dancing in and out. And is Jerry barefoot or is he rocking pink shoes?
