All told, I have three things to raise about this situation. In the first place, I am not sure what exactly the historical reference to sending teachers into outer space was. Might it have been in reference to the upcoming Challenger expidition that resulted in disaster. Sesond, I would think that a big house like that would have more then one bathroom. Last but not least, I really liked the blond in the teachers' lounge! What I cute little lady!
Mrs. G, referring to teachers: "Instead of a decent pension, how do we reward them? By sending them off into space!" Ouch. This show aired in Oct. of 85, and the Challenger disaster happened three months later in Jan. of 86. I bet they cut this line out in the edited versions later seen on TV! Interesting line. Those now obsolete historical refenences are always intriguing to me.

What girl Jo's age would be carrying around a Care Bears lunch box? Silly prop people.

@poutaine It was a Scooby Doo lunch box, and Jo said her friends did it as a joke.

No actually is really IS a Care Bears lunch box. She SAID it's Scooby Doo, but when you look at it, it's CLEARLY the Care Bears.

To be honest these girls kinda remind me of a bit younger version of The Golden Girls.

@djlacey100 Yeah, I noticed that. Also, the blond teacher in the lounge had the matching thermos to Jo's lunchbox.
