My 66 is alot like yours. Every once and while I put a For Sale sign on it just to see people fall all over themselves to try and get it. But then I tell them its been sold and take the sign down.
@TheHortond oh that's SUCH the good plan! Im gonna do that this spring. FOR SALE If my kids see that, i might not be breathin still but it'll still be fun. Haha
I got one of these when a I was 13. I restored it and it is awesome. Such a good car. What is your exhaust? I want to put a more exciting system on my Mustang.
Im 18 and do you think this car would be a good car for me to work on? How hard is it to find interior and engine parts. First Generation Mustangs are the only Stangs that appeal to me. I see them quite a bit here in LA so it shouldnt be too hard to find one.
i had my first mustang at 16... and yes this car is very easy to work on..tons of different places to order factory NOS(new old stock) or OEM replacement.. national parts depot, summit racing, jegs, year one.. to name a few.. and if yer on a budget.. do the work yerself.. practice makes perfect.. this is my second mustang i built... good luck.. if you need links or advice let me know..
what kind of sound are you looking for... be unique.. customize yer mustang around your ideas.. flowmasters, borla, glass pack mufflers.typical mufflers being used.... what size engine do you have??? what size piping are you thinking about using.. are your local police leniant when it comes to noise level
well, the police don't care too much about the noise level where i'm from. it's a V8 289. we were thinking about 2inch piping. umm...what kind of exhaust system did u put in your stang?
i got patriot headers w/2.5 outlet and 2.5 piping connected to 18in glasspack mufflers.. along with flame throwers.. sounds overall nice.. would have preferred cherry bomb glass packs ... 2 inch will sound nice.. it will give you more of a "ripple rapping"sound like da gangsta impalas.. have... the bigger the piping the louder deeper sound..(in my opinion).. if not dual exhaust flowmasters will do perfect...
i am in love with your car, mostly cause it sits in my garage, its rare but i found another forest green 66 hardtop gt and it sounds just like yours! i have the pony int as well. but i have to disagree i like my 66 gas cap and grill and door panels! lol
BEAUTIFUL!!!we are restoring a teachers 66 mustang in my auto class in my high school.not in very good condition.been sitting in a barn for 3 years.but it's still gorgeous.can't wait to get it running.
i've got a 1966 fastback 6 cyl 4-speed manual 3.20 rear end. Allthough it'dd be cool to keep it original, i'm thinking of upgrading to a v8, but as a 6cyl it's still cool though, i'll make a video of it someday, when i get it trough the inspection and get my oldtimers licenseplate. Check out my videos to see my big brother's '67 mustang that we restored this winter, and my brother's 1970 and 1971 dodge challengers
what size engine? and I need to know the paint name, hopefully colorcode of you can
