I was fortunate enough to see and hear this fantastic group of singers and entertainers a couple of years ago and I sat awe struck the entire concert. Mr Rieu is very personable and made it seem like they were playing for the standing only crowd like they were playing personally to each and every one in attendance. The variety of music was excellent and at times even humor was exhibited. I sincerely hope I can once again expeience that same magic once again in their music live.

Sung by the title character Eva Perón, it as she addresses the crowd from the balcony of the Casa Rosada it features emotional themes of regret and defiance, characteristic of Lloyd Webber’s most popular songs. The melody is based on the third movement of Brahms' Violin Concerto in D (1878).

@77pur377 as for the name, in the musical "Evita", at the main character Evita Peron's grave in the La Recoleta Cemetery in Buenos Aires, 1 of the plaques is a tribute from the city's taxi drivers' union. One of her epitaphs, roughly translated, reads: "Don't cry for me Argentina, I remain quite near to you." (she still loves her country)
