None really. Removing the claw actually makes you slightly weaker, it's pretty much a taunt.

now the mask is kinda special, not really worth removing on your own since people will beat it off you most of the time anyway, but when the mask is off, you take a little more damage, but you also dish out a little more damage. So having the claw on, without the mask deals the best damage.

I did all of Vega's trial with the 360 d-pad. And that last trial, it's all about timing. Took me like 10 minutes of just doing it over and over.

Can someone give me some tips on doing Vega's ultra and Super?

lets say your on the right side of the screen, charge down back and roll the joystick to down front and roll it back to up back + attack button. Im doing this on a fightstick it makes it easy. Once you get a hang of this way, you can start doing charge down back and roll the joystick to down front and roll it down back and then press any top diagonal direction + attack, so u can jump towards any wall.

If your standing on the left side,

1)Hold Joystick DB,

2)roll the joystick to DF,

3)roll it alway back to UB then press the attack button. Then Vega will jump towards the wall behind him.

Once you master this way you can change

step 3 to this

3)b)roll it to DB

4)Press the direction you want vega to jump off

FU or FB + attack button

Im able to do his ultra and special with ease, but I just can't do the 1rst hard trial ATM.

Why is Vega named Balrog here?

In Japan Vega is named Balrog, M. Bison is named Vega and Balrog is named M. Bison

I believe the reason why is because of Mike Tyson sounded too close to M. Bison which was Balrog's original name, think a bout it hes big, hes black, he even has the gap between his teeth, they prob didn't want to pay out so they changed name.

I read the story about this 15 years ago; the SF II developers -intended- M. Bison to be a mock Mike Tyson. Capcoms US marketing/distributors knew that wouldnt fly outside of Japan & most parts of Asia, foreshadowing copyright infringement & liability lawsuits in both the US & the UK.

2nd, they felt Vega, the name of the final boss wasnt menacing enough (non-threatening) so the developers rotated the names around;

M. Bison became Balrog.

Balrog became Vega.

& Vega became M. Bison.

But supposedly throwing your mask increases your attack while lowering your defense.

Buy a HRAP3. They're practically the same thing as the TE and better than the SE. Plus it's $99 on Amazon. The buttons aren't the same but you can easily swap them out for Sanwa buttons.

Yeah sure, except the TE looks much nicer and has much more solid build quality. HRAP3 works fine, but its built like a cheap toy. HRAP3 = honda, TE = benz

Both are mostly made of plastic though lol. I'd say it's similar build quality but the TE is bigger and has more room to put your hands on. The HRAP3 is a bit scrunched.
