Oh man, how I would like to be in that crowd, hearing his music live and just hopping to the beat, being transported to a happy place in your mind along with everybody. Look how they are all just hopping along to it! Awesome.
Haha, I like that glint in his eyes were he must have realised that this performance really is studio quality music. It's like a look in eye saying "I did it!"
Yes!! Its my favorite part of this song! It just builds, the background chanting climbs, it gets more and more intense and then the synthy-raindrop sounds...so so cool ^_^
I'm a fan of just about everything Susumu I've heard...this is absolutely my favorite song of his and I've been going nuts trying to find the lyrics or a translation. Anyone have any thoughts on that?
The song rocks but what amazes me most is the machinery Hirasawa uses on stage. I can't even guess what it does or how it works. Does it even do anything? Last time I saw him playing some weird thingamajig was in a live video of Forces 1.5.
But the sound quality is always top notch and detailed, so it can't be bad.
The wheel is a generator, it powers the sampler, also known as the button board to most people. Unlike what many think, the wheel does have a purpose. Without it, the sampler doesn't work.
Also, the strange green thing with the pipes-like transparent wiring and the blinky stuff is a pneumatic playback presampler. I'll refrain from explaining more on it though. One detail is that on its top it has the actual "kaku" - "core" design - where actually one of the main ideas for KAKU P-Model comes from, aside from also that it is the main "cog" to power the whole thing.
Amazing !

The whole thing, for some reason, makes me think of a rain dance every time I hear it.
