@Suelaimon wow- you are right about solitary man--what a strong sound he made here--the man is a brilliant songwriter, he struck a chord with me as a young kid, I still can hear the songs in my head when I was 8 yrs old, this one, brooklyn roads, shilo, cherry cherry,--it was endless, timeless sound, both then and now.
What a treasure to hear these songs in such an early incarnation. I think that's the most soulful version of "Solitary Man" I've ever heard. Thank you so much for sharing this with us!
Wow, Neil did "River Deep, Mountain High" on a 1993 album! I had no idea that he did it in live performances as early as 1967! Thanks so much for sharing this with us. I know that Neil did a series of performances at the Bitter End in August 1967. As of that point, neither "Shilo" nor "Kentucky Woman" had been released. If this is from those concerts, they were new to the audience. However, I think he did concerts there later that year, too, possibly on New Year's Eve.
