I like the Si-Fi content but I am disappointed that the movie John Carter did not capture the first book by Edgar Rice Burroughs THE PRINCESS OF MARS. I believe a lot of the purists and followers of the John Carter Series by Burroughs will be disappointed also. I would like to see someone like Spielberg take it on and make the entire series of John Carter of Mars by Burroughs into a Movie Classic Series that equals the Classic Content of Burroughs.

The best part is that I can quietly enjoy movie, even with the racist theme of "Great White Man save pathetic colored people from themselves and bang all your hot princesses", in a guilt-free way that I couldn't when watching Avatar or even the Star Wars prequels, since the material is based on a series where those kind of sentiments weren't that offensive.

States like South Carolina had slightly MORE slaves than "free" people according to their census and in their Declaration of Secession THE reasons are all about SLAVERY.
