We both didn't want to leave, but she was so cold, even wearing my sweater... and our shoes weren't absolutely covered in mud. Still, we had a blast with the birds and all. Jonsi and Alex's piece fit really well... down to the timing at 9min 25seconds. Love their work!

I don't know if this sounds greedy but I want more bands to be like this. When I listen to this or sigur ros it ALWAYS solves my problems, such as a small problem with myself or the myself relating to the world. This makes it all go away. No other music can do this but the music of Jonsi and Sigur Ros.

really cool video.it made me smile sadly and feel nostalgic, even though i don't have that much to feel nostalgic about. i especially loved how you got that one sunflower without half it's seeds. it's nice to see sunflowers in a more melancholic setting. i mostly saw them in colourful, bright, optimistic films, when they were bright yellow, in bloom.

And upon realizing just how beautiful life is it's hard because nothing lasts. Sadness, happiness, hate...Nothing lasts. Happiness is sad in knowing truly life's beauty and realizing that it can't always be like this...It's like getting a glimpse of something beautiful far away while you're passing it in a car.

There's a lot of truth to what you said about the sadness of knowing that something beautiful can't last forever. I think that idea epitomizes the weight of Jonsi's music, as well as Sigur Ross. I first heard their music in their movie Heima, which was playing on the Sundance channel when I was living in an Oxford House getting sober after being homeless for 3 years. Their music touched my heart and, in a small way, changed me forever.

When one realizes that nothing lasts, all is transient, and all worldly pleasure is really ultimately meaningless, we are left with the ultimate question: what else is there to live for? At the root of the human person we all search for a supernatural meaning in life.

And that is why I find this song so beautiful - it is a musical yearning for God.
