  • x'mas choir at ist best! merry x'mas everybody! greetings from Indonesia...

  • They are the best choir, hands down!

  • Love it! MoTab is the best!

  • the thing thats amazing about this is these musicians are all volunteers.

  • @ TTHORNE931 u need to STFU TROLL!!

  • The choir is pretty good, but the orchestra is just awful...they're constantly dragging, the whole way through, and the balance is really off.

  • @phorsic Hmm-- I think they are both fantastic- not sure what dragging you are hearing. Great talent and Heavenly inspired.

  • once upon a time(long ago) I sang soprano in a choir to this beautiful piece and plan to do so again...Love this music!

  • The Mormon Tabernacle is always impressive. However, their size is the reason, it's kind of a cheat. Scientifically after 100 voices we don't hear volume we hear depth of sound. So, with 350 voices you don't have to work as hard to achieve rounded tone, although undoubtedly they still do. What impresses me the most is their diction. The performance is impressive because it's huge just the way Americans like it but it's not in the Baroque style whatsoever.

  • @22maestro Move on.

  • @22maestro You ever, EVER seen them rehearse? I highly recommend that you do! It is extremely difficult to achieve the balance and oneness you hear with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. Perhaps just enjoy the music, leave positive, uplifting thoughts, and lift others, rather than being critical.

  • @crochetmom5 I wasn't being critical. Like I said this is an impressive sound as is all their performances, CD's, and weekly anthems for services. However, Baroque music with 350 people just won't' ever be truly Baroque. That's not a diminishment of their obvious tremendous work in preparing this work just a simple truth. Just like I said about more voices means more tone. There is an unbelievable difference in the American sound we love here and the true Baroque style it was intended for.

  • if you are going to do "Messiah" please, please use HANDEL'S orchestration NOT PROUT'S Too thick and heavy.

I like the choir better with Craig Jessop and I really don't Like THIS performance.
