I'm pretty sure what they're getting at here is that she went back for the watch the guy lost and got trapped and in her fear began hallucinating the situations with the phantom child whom she is already pregnant with which explains why she is continually trapped in each situation. She is trapped and unable to reach the child because she is trapped in the cave with the child and their they will both die.

hahahaha...what a twist! not really that good. i know its a short, but the film tried to do way too much in such a short amount of time. nothing was explained...was she crazy? did something from the cave follow her out? did she get raped by something? too many questions left unanswered
