  • I have a lot of those at home

  • keep that thing away from me lol

  • What a beautiful creature

  • Yes I've ever seen that before. They're at "Similan" beach in my country thailand.

  • That is not a hermit crab they do not live in water

  • @Tatts155 Please if you are going to tell me it is not a hermit crab, then please say what it is. Not helpful!

  • @trunkybeat its a hermit crab

  • @Tatts155 If you google it, hermits do live in water, those one doesnt live in water is called land hermit crabs and they actually live around water. BTW, hermits are not actually crab, they relate to lobsters

  • @trunkybeat I don't know about them, but I actually have it. I can relate. I tend to make faces, preferably when I'm alone, because it feels weird if I don't. Glad you guys caught that he had it fairly early on.

  • That's a good find Angelina.. that's a good find Angelina

  • It's humongous and awesome.

  • i was waiting for it to pinch the crap outa him

  • CRAB WATER WATER I NEEEDDD WATERRR

  • my dad fished one last night. he left the hermit crab in the garage.

the next day, it died. T_T

cause of death: starved to death.

  • wooooooah

  • look at the size of that arm

  • whats with that boy doing faces

  • @cabba00 He has ticks associated with Asperger Syndrome. Have you heard of it?

  • @trunkybeat i have a friend and a cousin with asperger, and ticks aren`t always associated with it. also, hermit crabs only have one claw. that is some other form of crab. i cannot tell you what, but it`s not a hermit crab.

  • @EnteiWolf Thanks for the correction, I think. I did say that the ticks that he has are associated with Aspergers, not that ticks are "always associated with it."

  • THAT'S HUMUNGUS AND AWESOME!

  • @TheRationalRant thts what she said

  • Yes yes, I'm totally neato. Now if you would kindly put me back in the water...

  • @UberFAKnNooB Oh, we put him or her back in the salt water where he or she belongs! It was a great memory!

  • ATTENTION ALL NEW POSTERS: This is a family-friendly video, and all comments must be approved by me. If there is any profanity in your comment, it will NOT be posted. Who are you trying to impress, anyway?

  • which beach is that?

  • @stellaamyshim I don't remember, but it is just north of the Florida Keys.

  • "THATS HUMUNGOUS AND AWESAAM!!!"

    and the crabs all like

    "MAH SHELL! BACK OFF! NYA!"

  • 0:58 Do the kid got handicap or something. He open that mouth more then 5 times!?

  • @RibberDibber11 Yes, in fact he has a tick associated with Aspburgers Syndrome. He is doing very well!

  • @trunkybeat Okay am happy to hear he doing well.

  • I wonder if the aquatic hermies can be as docile as the land ones. I've had land hermies for some time now, and they NEVER pinch unless they are really afraid. The only ones that I have seen that have an aggression problem against people, and just want to pinch pinch pinch are ones that have been at the pet store a long time and must have been messed with by mean people for too long.

  • oh glad no one was pinched btw. they are POWERFUL and if they are angry enough they won't let go. we raise the smaller land ones of average sized and i pissed one off one time and he wouldnt close his pincer, so to keep safe, i stuck a lollypop stick in it, he wouldn't let go for 12 min, lol.

  • my sis owns and raises hermies, i know you're having all good fun but DON'T mes with them, they are extremely powerful and i just heard you mention his back in the clip, thats an area they can't control so if you touch them there, it'll piss them off lol.

  • @TeslaDRay I have a question maybe you could answer for me since u said ur sister raises hermits crabs so u know them pretty good. My hermit crab is soo shy and ive had him/her for a little over a year now.Is there a way i can make him unshy and enjoy my presence?

  • its pretty amazing how something that size and has a strong exo can fit in a shell goood find

  • @iHasAbucket0246 Thanks--we were pretty psyched, and it was something the kids will never forget!

  • @trunkybeat yepperz :) i would love to go to the ocean

  • COOL!!!!! I've never seen one that big! And hairy!

  • Epic! :D

  • you need to be very careful in handling it becuase if you get hurt, the result is very terrible to you, serious!!!

  • Thank you for sharing, awesome.

  • AWESOME!!

  • BIG MEATY CLAWS!!!!!

  • omg i found one bigger in florida it started to come out so i yelled and tossed it i felt reall bad ='/

  • Let him go!

  • Just leave it alone and NEVER!!!!, hold them like that.

  • They can get the size of a cantaloupe, and live to be 80 years old. But they usually dont like shells that corkscrew straight like that, you usually find them in ones corkscrewed to the right.

  • "I wanna call him Harry Potter" lol XD

btw, this hermit crab is so pretty!! I have never seen one like that.

  • A crab that size could easily snap a no. 2 pencil in half... Imagine what it could have done if it got your finger...

  • @IisSuperDork I know! Isn't nature great? ;)

  • @IisSuperDork Believe me, it can't.

  • lol "i want to call him harry potter"

  • wats wrong with tha boy in tha back?

  • @TheBoyThatDied That is my nephew, and his name is Wyatt. He has Asperger Syndrome, which involves muscle ticks.

  • @trunkybeat Oh sorry for him : /

  • @trunkybeat Asperger Syndrome is a sensory disorder. Your nephew's been misdiagnosed or has both Aspergers and something else, like turrets. But Aspergers Syndrome itself doesn't cause ticks. It's more like OCD than turrets...

  • can i have it ?XD

  • WOW! on my province on the Philippines that's the huge hermit crabs butt is a delicacy

  • Where is this?

  • @ronniegranillo Florida Keys

  • @silverthearab That's probably because they hate you. Mines love me.

  • 1:05 tourettes like no other

  • @colassalcoconutttt Similar to tourettes. He has a "tick" associated with his Aspberger Syndrome.

  • @trunkybeat OMG....I USED TO HAVE THOSE WHEN I WAS A KID....it was the most horrible thing ever!! =X i couldnt quit blinking my eyes and i constantly cleared my throat....now im on clonodine and i cant sleep without it....i blame my parents >_< i dont even need it for my tick anymore

  • 0:57 kid in the background: :O :P :O :P

  • u got some saggy bewbs man!

  • @geckosandreps1: I can honestly say I have never seen "boobs" spelled that way...

  • He's like "Hey, let me go! Who do think you are picking up a crab in his home like that!"

  • 2:38

  • 7:12

  • U need to put it back in the water!!!

  • If anyone has any questions about put hermit crabs (purple pinchers) then write me a message or comment on my page. I will be happy to help :)

  • lol cool

  • it cant BREATHE! thats why its moving like that coz it wants to go back into the water

  • thats a sea hermit crab! the crab wants to say "hey! I CANT breath! put me back into the waters PLEASE!!!!" they cant read the crab's body language.. poor crab...

  • 0:43 thats what she said!

  • i love the little girl "THAT`S HUMUNGES AND AWSOME!!!!"

  • DONT call it Harry Potter..

  • @mshobohorse: Are you sure you are not thinking of a fiddler crab?

  • That actually looks like a lobster maybe, or something close to that. Hermit Crabs only have one big pincer and a smaller pincer.

  • The crab is not "trying to walk so bad" its sufficating! Its an underwater hermie and it cant breathe!!!

  • that's a good find angelina.

  • nature is so beautiful and lovely because of God!

  • @Blossum3 Indeed, nature is beautiful. Of course, that depends on what nature you're talking about. Things such as botflies are anything but beautiful.

  • Hahahaha the hermit crab is saying, "let me at 'em. let me at 'em. I dare you to stick your finger within reach of my pinchers. come on let me at 'em. I can take you on any day."

  • This crab is a marine Giant Hermit Crab and needs to

BREATH UNDERWATER. The crab is suffocating. This sort of treatment should be considered abusive. Please learn about the creatures you are fastinated with before handling them.

  • you said that no i didn't

  • THATS HUMONGOUS AND AWESOME!!!!!!!!

  • man boob :P

  • Wow that is HUGE!

  • aww, the hermit crab is scared!

you shouldn't pick the up by their shells for that long, cause they will get frightened they will fall out and eventually pinch you.

If it did fall out, it wouldn't live for very long without it's shell for protection.

  • why is it snapping aawwwwww!!!!

  • The store clerk at petsmart told me about a man who owned a pet hermit crab the size of a football. He has a whole room with sand on the floor and a giant heat lamp devoted to it, and he gives it things like walnuts to break with its claws

  • ive found bigger in italy

  • Hahahhahahahh! Wow! That is big as my head!

  • Crab: *wakes up from constant shaking* WOAH! WHAT IS THIS? PUT ME DOWN, PUT ME DOWN! GET IT OFF ME, GET IT OFF OF MEEE!

  • He's worth 200,000 EXP. but the true hero doesn't harm him.

  • oh my goooddddd!

  • were iz that?

  • @babyruthshow We were in the Florida Keys, specifically at Bahia Honda, I believe.

  • does that mean that Harry Potter wants to eat weed?

  • Crab: "Let me at emmm!! let me at emm!!!"

  • That's what she said! XDD

But I wish I've seen one like that. I love hermit crabs!

  • holy crap it's huge, mine's tiny

  • holy crab it's huge, mine's tiny

  • ok whoever said this was a marine because it had hairs on it needs to do a little research......i just bought one from the pet store and its a LAND HERMIE and it has hair all over it .....and people that keep bashing the people in the film have no right to they are poeple to and they can do as they wish wether its smart or not life is all about making mistakes and learning from them not all of you are innocent either.....one of you were bound to have picked up a turtle or a frog from there

  • @tamerly1 Yeah, people can do anything they "wish" to animals whether it's smart or not. They can kill them, torture them, drop them from a window, anything really as long as they learn from their mistake.

What kind of stupid reasoning is that??

  • Awww hes sooo cute!

  • If I found that I would hold it for like 5-10 seconds and then i would put it back in the water.

  • @NerdyLhama no its not a hermit crab .

  • the retards are all like "hey he's moving :D".... because ur almost killing him

  • @Imnotsur3 what are you talking about, how are they almost killing him? Hermit crabs dont need water to breath and they werent doing anything dangerous

  • Attack its weak spot for massive damage!

  • i wonder how many times it had to change shells!!!

  • lol @00:17 "are those claws?"

  • Just because you CAN pick it up doesn't mean that you SHOULD.

  • @captmicha

As long as it didn't get hurt and they put it back, I don't see a problem

  • @Dragging1Canoe The problem is 1) It's causing the hermit crab undue stress. 2) It's a wild animal and they should enjoy it in a hands off manner.

  • if its a marine crab u shouldnt put it above water

  • Comment removed

  • @jlrsmiles That boy is my nephew. He has Asperger syndrome. He was moved on to other "tics" now, and is making a lot of progress. Thank you for your inquiry!
