  • please please do another with the whole song. cuz i really like the song and barbershop :)

  • This was a surprise. It showed up as a recommended video. I didn't realize it was Trudbol until I starting watching the video. Anyway, nice performance, but like others have said, "it's too short". Oh well.

  • @cyborlite Thank you, I'm glad you enjoy it! And yeah, Julien and I used to record these so-called Barbershop tags (endings of songs in Barbershop a cappella style). Those are very popular among Barbershoppers and often sung on Barbershop conventions. But after a while, Julien and I both became bored of just singing tags and decided to do more full songs, instead.

  • @Partyburner Thank you for educating me on "Barbershop Tags". Had I known that this was an a cappella style I wouldn't have made the comment about the length. In any event, I enjoyed the clip and will check out your channel.

  • LOL silly hair like in his older videos XD

  • @123476565656 Yeah, his hairdos are unique, aren't they? :)

  • This was really good:)

  • @jarbon5 Thanks, I'm glad you like it! :)

  • This one is good but it's too short ;-( want to listen more actually ;-)

  • @MrHandyronny Thanks! It's a recording of a so-called Barbershop tag. Barbershop is a sub-genre of a cappella-music and the endings of Barbershop songs are called tags. But be assured: I will upload more full songs and less Barbershop tags in the future :).

  • Nice job...!

  • Thanks!

  • LOOOOOOL!!!!!! I loved the 60's surfer dance at the end. When I said ( at one point in the past) to loosen up I had no idea you would make me laugh like that! :)

@ both of you: Great Job! You should notify me about new videos becuase I love hearing new stuff people come out with.

  • Thanks, Chris! That was exactly my intention: To surprise my viewer, because I usually look very serious on my videos. I'm glad it worked. And yeah, Pulp Fiction rules :).

  • @Partyburner You certainly suprised me alright! Bythe way, your very good in the high range.

  • can you make more LOL videos in the future. It makes my day. BTW wy didnt you say "so" when you hit the post? I thought thats how the tag went.

  • Haha, I'll try to. The next video is probably going to be more serious, though.

And about the "so": Well, I liked it better that way :). It's not the only thing we did differently from the Suntones' version. Cédric's version was already a little different from their version and we changed his version, again.

  • Très beau !

  • You two always make me smile :D

    LOL Patrick towards the end!

  • Thank you, Melody! I can't wait to hear the collaboration from you and Julien!

  • nice job guys! i liked the tenor at the end and julien's hair. keep it up :)

  • Thanks, I'm glad you like my tenor. I was afraid it would look a little silly :).

  • you know I though it was julien singing tneor at first! ;)

  • Well, I can sing high, too :)! I did most of the tenor on this one in head voice, though. But my head voice seems to blend better with Julien than my chest voice.

  • Hey Patrick

sehr cool gemacht . mit julien haste echt nen guten mitsinger gefunden, weil ich denke dass eure stimmen gut harmonieren .

    lg René

  • Danke, René! Ja, Julien und ich sind mittlerweile ein eingespieltes Team :).

  • Brilliant! The tenor was having fun!

  • Haha, thanks :)!

  • you must have a good range... I'm mad at mine because it ends just before the low c and doesn't quite reach the high c two octaves (soory if spelt wrong) away... just out of reach... >:(

  • That's almost exactly the range I had before starting getting lessons! Low C (=C2) is pretty low, so you already have a good low range when you can go near to it. Being able to hit higher notes without screaming is mainly about technique. Taking lessons would probably help you to go much higher without straining.

That Ab4 (the Ab above your highest C) I sang on the end was in head voice, which makes it a lot easier. In chest voice that note would be at my upper limit.

  • lol..

nice sound guys! I think the blend is really nice throughout. The last phrase was a little odd sounding on the bell chord'ed area, as far as timing goes. Patrick! we've gotta find you a better camera to work with! Lastly, headphones/no headphones; was it intentional?

  • Thanks Josh, I'm glad you like it!

I don't understand what you mean with "bell chord'ed area". You mean that "lo-lo-love you so"? Well, we did that the way Cédric did it. It may violite some Barbershop rules, though.

And about the video quality: The camera isn't that bad. The problem here is that I recorded this lat night with only artificial light. Therefore the camera had to amplify the lighting a lot, resulting in a noisy image.

About the headphones: Oops, I didn't even notice :).

  • nice you guys are good! I did some kinda barbershop on my channel, but i'm not even close to this!

  • Thank you!

  • very good guys ! looking forward to do some songs with you ;D - best wishes and 5* from me

  • Thanks Daniel! I'm looking forward to that, too!

  • Eyh guys nice job ^^

thanks for special thanks on my work and my homepage on youtube :)

  • Hey Cédric, I'm glad you like it! And sure thing about the thanks and the link---your version is awesome, as well as your other videos. You should have much more subscribers!

  • Dudes... wonderful! nothing more to say... wonderful!

  • Thanks a lot, Sonny! And stay tuned for more collaborations from us!

  • @Partyburner only if you stay tuned for my next collab (within the coming weeks) :) You guys make a great team!

  • What?? Only 29 seconds?? I'm disappointed in you guys... ¬¬

Nah, wonderful as always! Congratulations buddies, but I expect something longer than this next time... please? (L)

  • Haha thanks, Beatriz! We have longer recordings in work, but it might be a while till they are finished. So this is just to full the time gap.

  • Ohh awesome :D Then I should say that I totally love the filling ^^ and probably the right question to ask then is: are more fillings coming??

  • I love your work tie on the bass and the Vincent Vega touch on the tenor, Patrick. Nice balance of the sound too.

  • Thank you, Julien :)! Your zebra backgrounds are very nice, too!

  • Very soothing and smooth!

Thanks for calling out the voices in the description. If I had watched the video with the audio tracks muted and without reading the names, I would have guessed Elwood-Julien-Patrick-Julien. :)

Merci to Cédric, also. His vocal skills are awesome.

  • Thanks, Paul! Who is Elwood?

  • I was thinking about the sunglasses and 'coolness' factor of the tenor.

So, Elwood (sans black felt hat, sans coat, sans skinny necktie, sans harmonica)-J-P-J. LOL

CarlyCarlyW is losing it! Poor comment. Thumb down. :P

  • Haha, nah! Your comments are fine! Thank you for being a regular visitor and for your nice comments on every video!
