The entire season Montreal has told us of all the wrongs the Bruins have been doing especially with the Chara hit. And this season it felt that Montreal was worrying about Boston when they should of been focusing on there team. They took countless dives the entire series trying to get penalties, which in the playoffs looks pathetic. So Montreal why don't you worry about scoring goals and winning games and just win games in a fair way without trying to get some assistance from the referees

Over the course of NHL history Montreal has been the dominant team in the rivalry. They've won more games, scored more goals, and of course won far more Stanley Cups than anybody. Plus, we were evenly matched during the regular season, the Bruins won the series by a game. The only reason we won the series is because Tim Thomas is the best goalie in the NHL and Carey Price is totally overrated. That's the only edge we had in that series.
@bakerandbaker1 Wow...Actually Carey Price had better stats than Thomas during the serie...And where was Tim Thomas at 23?? Carey Price is by far the best young goalie in the nhl. If you want overrated players take a look at Lucic on your team, how many goals again in the post season? Actually he has as many goals as game misconducts. But he can sucker punch like no one.
But Thomas was the better goalie in every statistical category going into the playoffs. He had a better win-loss record, save % and GAA. All in less playing time. Same story with the regular season except for the playing time part, put even then if Thomas had the edge due to longevity, his save % and GAA would be lower and higher respectively; goalies are supposed to decline in these areas as they get older, like Brett Favre's qb rating and pass completion % declining.
These are more revealing stats than those that accumulate with playing time. Unless Carey has some kind of career Renaissance, or Thomas gets injured/abruptly retires/actually begins to suck, these numbers will likely reamain worse than those of Thomas. BTW, never said Lucic was a great player or even a good one. He is a good enforcer, but there are plenty of those in the world of hockey. I don't understand why my brother likes him so much.

Actually, the fact that he had better stats in less time means he's better. It's called doing more with less. Playing time in any sport is totally overrated; I puke when an ESPN analyst says this guy should win Cy Young ONLY because he's pitched more innings. Yes, late this season he has allowed some shit goals, but find me another goalie that doesn't do the same now and again.

Same thing with Tomas, i remember a game vs Montreal this year where he didn't pplay cause, quote" he wasn't sharp against the Canadiens" said Julien.

The entire season Montreal has told us of all the wrongs the Bruins have been doing especially with the Chara hit. And this season it felt that Montreal was worrying about Boston when they should of been focusing on there team. They took countless dives the entire series trying to get penalties, which in the playoffs looks pathetic. So Montreal why don't you worry about scoring goals and winning games and just win games in a fair way without trying to get some assistance from the referees

Over the course of NHL history Montreal has been the dominant team in the rivalry. They've won more games, scored more goals, and of course won far more Stanley Cups than anybody. Plus, we were evenly matched during the regular season, the Bruins won the series by a game. The only reason we won the series is because Tim Thomas is the best goalie in the NHL and Carey Price is totally overrated. That's the only edge we had in that series.

@bakerandbaker1 Wow...Actually Carey Price had better stats than Thomas during the serie...And where was Tim Thomas at 23?? Carey Price is by far the best young goalie in the nhl. If you want overrated players take a look at Lucic on your team, how many goals again in the post season? Actually he has as many goals as game misconducts. But he can sucker punch like no one.

But Thomas was the better goalie in every statistical category going into the playoffs. He had a better win-loss record, save % and GAA. All in less playing time. Same story with the regular season except for the playing time part, put even then if Thomas had the edge due to longevity, his save % and GAA would be lower and higher respectively; goalies are supposed to decline in these areas as they get older, like Brett Favre's qb rating and pass completion % declining.

These are more revealing stats than those that accumulate with playing time. Unless Carey has some kind of career Renaissance, or Thomas gets injured/abruptly retires/actually begins to suck, these numbers will likely reamain worse than those of Thomas. BTW, never said Lucic was a great player or even a good one. He is a good enforcer, but there are plenty of those in the world of hockey. I don't understand why my brother likes him so much.

Actually, the fact that he had better stats in less time means he's better. It's called doing more with less. Playing time in any sport is totally overrated; I puke when an ESPN analyst says this guy should win Cy Young ONLY because he's pitched more innings. Show me the key stats; wins, ERA, K's, maybe walks if it comes down to that. I. Do not. Need. Any. Sabermetrics. Yes, late this season he has allowed some shit goals, but find me another goalie that doesn't do the same now and again.

@bakerandbaker1 Yeah but a pitcher plays a few games on a long season. In hockey the fatigue factor is huge. There are alot of goalies that cannot go thru a 70 games season cause they play every 2 days. Remember Marty Turco lost the vezina a few years ago after posting the best GAA in history but playing 55 games. Same thing with Tomas, i remember a game vs Montreal this year where he didn't pplay cause, quote" he wasn't sharp against the Canadiens" said Julien.
