Hypothetically: Hobbs and Jacoby, after a few beers, went driving around looking for the boy, and when he found the three who were out past cerfew on their bikes, he went apeshit on Stevie, then had to kill the other two boys as well because they saw what happened, then Jacoby helped him dump the bodies. On another website Jacoby said that Terry came to his house around 6 or 6:30 that evening and they played guitar for about an hour then he Terry left to go search for the boys. It seems odd he never called his wife to let her know her son never came home. He said he called the police from a payphone, but he never called, Mrs. Moore made the first call. Pam called at 9:30. So he dropped Pam off at work at 5:00 pm, then searched for the boys for a couple of hours with Amanda. Then he dropped Amanda off at the Jacoby house and took the Jacoby man to search for the boys until it was time to pick Pam up at 9:00 pm. Then he apparently dropped Jacoby off and picked Amanda up in order to go get Pam and then went and picked Jacoby back up to search with him until 2:00 or 3:00 am? What kind of sense does that make?
Didn't in the earlier video when asked what time pam worked till he said untill nine or ten whatever time they closed. In this video he said he went and got her at exactly nine. That seems a little weird.

Can you please get me up-to-date with the facts concerning this case? I 've read, seen and heard just about everything related to the case but lost interest about 8 yrs ago. These tapes and recent events renewed my interests but I'm clueless about what exactly happened. Is Hobbs a prime suspect due to new DNA (hair) evidence? That's about all I know at the moment.
Wow, I didn't know about any of this stuff. Fascinating. I recently listened to that taped phone conversation between Hobbs and Byers. The entire conversation was very odd and suspicious, IMO; not exactly the type of banter you'd expect between two fathers who lost their kids.. It almost seemed like they were offering each other advice about how to deal with the police, public suspicion, etc and not once did either of them talk about their innocence. At any rate, much thanks for the update.

Jacoby says in his interview that Hobbs came over with Amanda BEFORE looking for Stevie and practiced guitar with him. Did that include a few beers? [ just guessing ] Then they went to look for Stevie. Doesn't sound like a concerned parent to me. Was he angry that he had to look for him ? At 5:43hobbs responds "I believe I drive around a lil bit more looking for emand then go back to David & Bobbi's house.I dropped Amanda off there."At 6:45 he tells Det. that Amanda was with him when he picked up Pam.That means that he dropped off DJ same time after searching woods until it was almost dark to pick up pam at 9pm or he left DJ out there.He conveniently leaves out where DJ is and what hes doing this whole time.
Those kids wherent dead that long, I just read the autopsy reports. They say possibly sunrise. These kids where kept somewhere and tortured before being dumped in the woods that morning. Are any of these people unacounted for during the night and early morning?

Pam Hobbs worked at Catfish Island and She didn't know Stevie was missing until Terry came to pick her up at work. When he arrived to pick her up she came out with a piece of candy for each child, Stevie and Amanda. She asked where Stevie was and Terry told her, "Pam We haven't been able to find Him yet." Then they use a pay phone to report him missing. 9:26 I believe was the time.
but he says on the tape they couldn't find him and then he took her to work..so she knew he was still missing when she went to work. There's no way I could go to work (or anywhere else) knowing my child was missing. He does tell her when he picked her up that they never found him...the key word is YET...he told her we haven't found him YET...she knew when she went to work he was missing because they briefly looked for him. I would have been looking for my son...he was only 8 yrs. old.
He had gone to ride his bicycle with Michael. Chris was at their house watching muppet babies at 4:00 then left to go find Stevie and Michael. She had already cooked dinner, So they weren't actually missing until a little after 6 p.m. Micheal sister, Dawn seen the three, 2 on one bike and 1 on the other. Her mother, Dana, sent her to retrieve them and they were a ways ahead of her and she could not catch up as they went around the curve on Barton Street.

Well, when I was younger, parents had a lot less worry about their kids. She didn't think anything was out of the ordinary, and probably assumed he was going to come home before dark in time for supper.... my theory is that he DID come home, a little earlier than expected.

I think what he says from 5:42-6:26 is very key. He offers this info without being prompted. "Cause he knew Stevie, etc.".More detail should have been asked here about what exactly David Jacoby and him did. "He was with me probably 2-3 o'clock in the morning." This would have been a consistent time with the murders.
At 5:40 he says "I believe I drive around a little bit more looking for her then go back to david and bobbys house..." Tho he never mentions being at Davids to begin with.You have to be there to begin with to go BACK there.
He did say he went to David's house after he left the Moore's,he went to drop Amanda off and ask David to help him search for Stevie,because David had known then all of their lives. (Pam and Stevie)

My original feeling and theory is that his stepson walked in on him doing the dirty deed with his male friend, while he was with a friend, and they ran to tell a third friend, and paid with their lives. But if you look at Mark Byers in the film, when they announced the verdict, he was looking around to see if the public was buying it. THAT is the strangest!
No. It's not the same. Big difference between someone speculating wildly on YouTube for fun vs a jury sending someone to death with no physical evidence. The crime that this interview makes very clear, however, is the fact that Hobbs, despite having direct access to the victims and being in and around the area at the time, was never questioned or investigated. Hypothetically: Hobbs and Jacoby, after a few beers, went driving around looking for the boy, and when he found the three who were out past cerfew on their bikes, he went apeshit on Stevie, then had to kill the other two boys as well because they saw what happened, then Jacoby helped him dump the bodies. Then he apparently dropped Jacoby off and picked Amanda up in order to go get Pam and then went and picked Jacoby back up to search with him until 2:00 or 3:00 am? What kind of sense does that make?

Didn't in the earlier video when asked what time pam worked till he said untill nine or ten whatever time they closed. In this video he said he went and got her at exactly nine. That seems a little weird.

NEW EVDIENCE !! There is a witness and in a sworn affidavit he states that he saw TERRY HOBBS with the boys at about 6:30 the night they disappeared. Look it up in the local WM news paper.peace..

Can you please get me up-to-date with the facts concerning this case? I 've read, seen and heard just about everything related to the case but lost interest about 8 yrs ago. These tapes and recent events renewed my interests but I'm clueless about what exactly happened. Is Hobbs a prime suspect due to new DNA (hair) evidence? That's about all I know at the moment.

Wow, I didn't know about any of this stuff. Fascinating. I recently listened to that taped phone conversation between Hobbs and Byers. The entire conversation was very odd and suspicious, IMO; not exactly the type of banter you'd expect between two fathers who lost their kids.. It almost seemed like they were offering each other advice about how to deal with the police, public suspicion, etc and not once did either of them talk about their innocence. At any rate, much thanks for the update.

Even if the hair was inside the knot...it "could" have been secondary trans... I coudn't convict on that alone. It's still more than they had on the WM3.. No way should that stand!

You know, it pisses me off to read posts from people who know nothing about this case.
I think this dna evidence is the key to prove the innocence of Echols, Miskelley, and Baldwin. And it's about time.
Hobbs was with Jacoby when the murders occured, and his actions before and since the crime implicate him more than anything ever implicated the Three.
Every minute they are behind bars is one minute too many.
Thank God for this new evidence that hopefully will

Notice how when he is "telling his story" that he keeps looking away to the right. It is proven that when someone is remembering something that happened they tend to look to the left and when they are making stuff up the tend to look to the right. i think altough this guy had opportunity and motive he didnt do it,even though his hair is found on the shoelace of his own son at the scene this is transfer now if his hair was found on byers kid that would be different jacobys hair is found on a stump his motive would be a thrill kill atleast 1 kid knew him so theres the trust factor the crime was definately done in an outof the way place there would be screams or a noisy place near an underpass?

His hair was NOT found on his son. His hair was found tied up in the knot of the shoelace ligature that bound Michael Moore. The ONLY way that hair could have gotten there was if it fell from the head or clothing of the person who tied up Michael Moore.

@vipyr23 NO it wasn't found on Stevie Branch (Terry Hobbs step-son)....EVEN WORSE, it was found in the binding of the knot on Stevie!!!! It would be more likely of a 'secondary transfer' had it been on Stevie's clothing....BUT for it to be in the actual knot, seems more likely that this person was leaning over Stevie and the KNOT, and his hair fell out at that particular time! Common Sense!!!!

so from 3pm on the 5th till the time of this guys first witness which is his wife where was he? from about 430pm on the 5th things start getting hectic and i dont think he did it between the time of 430pm on the 5th and 230am the 6th with all the comotion he wouldnt have opportunity. from 430 till 230pm the next day theres to many people now concerned and looking for him to slip away commit murder dump bodies come back fully clean.i say dump because lack of evidence at the scene supports this

He obviously had help, if he did indeed do this. In Echols book "Almost Home," there is a description of another man who confessed to the crime, but then took it back, and ultimately ran off to the West Coast, never to resurface. Find him!!!! He's the friend.

ok heres what i get from this the if this guy did do it he mustve done it between the time he left work and the time he got home given the state of the bodies found at 230 pm on the 6th full rigor had set in and that takes atleast 12 hours so narrowed down to 230 am on the 6th it doesnt matter when the parents discover the children are missing it matters when they saw them last and pam says she spoke to her son and he went to ride his bike about 3pm on the 5th

Jacoby says in his interview that Hobbs came over with Amanda BEFORE looking for Stevie and practiced guitar with him. Did that include a few beers? [ just guessing ] Then they went to look for Stevie. Doesn't sound like a concerned parent to me. Was he angry that he had to look for him ? Don't forget that he assaulted a neighbor lady in her shower also. Just some thoughts....

there are a lot of things that he recalls that happened that i can't see a concernered parent whos child is missing doing or not knowing... He cant recall if he called the police??? thats one thing that u would def know, and as for donna saying she saw the kids riding bikes, The one question i would ask is "who all was riding bikes?" but he didnt ask her that. well i should say byers should of asked that question. But things just dont add up. This case is just so disturbing.

At 5:43hobbs responds "I believe I drive around a lil bit more looking for emand then go back to David & Bobbi's house.I dropped Amanda off there."At 6:45 he tells Det. that Amanda was with him when he picked up Pam.That means that he dropped off DJ same time after searching woods until it was almost dark to pick up pam at 9pm or he left DJ out there.He conveniently leaves out where DJ is and what hes doing this whole time.

Those kids wherent dead that long, I just read the autopsy reports. They say possibly sunrise. These kids where kept somewhere and tortured before being dumped in the woods that morning. Are any of these people unacounted for during the night and early morning?

they were not dumped for the searchers out there.They were killed in same spot found.They were also killed between 4-8:15:pm There would have to be daylight for this commisssion.Then tying shoestrings,working to submerge n hide bodies down an embankment to waters edge.That probably didnt happen in coplete daekness along with group of searchers.Just so happens hobbs and jacoby were out there till almost dark.

Pam Hobbs worked at Catfish Island and She didn't know Stevie was missing until Terry came to pick her up at work. When he arrived to pick her up she came out with a piece of candy for each child, Stevie and Amanda. She asked where Stevie was and Terry told her, "Pam We haven't been able to find Him yet." Then they use a pay phone to report him missing. 9:26 I believe was the time.

but he says on the tape they couldn't find him and then he took her to work..so she knew he was still missing when she went to work. There's no way I could go to work (or anywhere else) knowing my child was missing. He does tell her when he picked her up that they never found him...the key word is YET...he told her we haven't found him YET...she knew when she went to work he was missing because they briefly looked for him. I would have been looking for my son...he was only 8 yrs. old.

He had gone to ride his bicycle with Michael. Chris was at their house watching muppet babies at 4:00 then left to go find Stevie and Michael. She had already cooked dinner, So they weren't actually missing until a little after 6 p.m. Micheal sister, Dawn seen the three, 2 on one bike and 1 on the other. Her mother, Dana, sent her to retrieve them and they were a ways ahead of her and she could not catch up as they went around the curve on Barton Street.

But if he wasn't home when she went to work, doesn't that mean she would have to know he was missing or not home. Well, when I was younger, parents had a lot less worry about their kids. She didn't think anything was out of the ordinary, and probably assumed he was going to come home before dark in time for supper.... my theory is that he DID come home, a little earlier than expected.

I think what he says from 5:42-6:26 is very key. He offers this info without being prompted. "Cause he knew Stevie, etc.".More detail should have been asked here about what exactly David Jacoby and him did. "He was with me probably 2-3 o'clock in the morning." This would have been a consistent time with the murders.

I'm not doubting his strange behaviour, but I really think he's drugged out during this interview. My original feeling and theory is that his stepson walked in on him doing the dirty deed with his male friend, while he was with a friend, and they ran to tell a third friend, and paid with their lives. But if you look at Mark Byers in the film, when they announced the verdict, he was looking around to see if the public was buying it. THAT is the strangest!

No. It's not the same. Big difference between someone speculating wildly on YouTube for fun vs a jury sending someone to death with no physical evidence. The crime that this interview makes very clear, however, is the fact that Hobbs, despite having direct access to the victims and being in and around the area at the time, was never questioned or investigated. How on earth could something like that happen?
