Hopefully this is just a bad trailer to a good film.

This doesn't look funny at all and comedy isn't Polanski's forte.

I'll see it when it comes out, it might be a classic but you'd never guess it from this trailer.

I just saw it and Carnage is THE most intelligent comedy I have ever seen. It's got everything: world views, social values, feminism, masculinity, human civilization, parenting, marriage woes, political correctness, and even animal rights, mixed with some typical Polanski symbolisms and hidden jokes. This film is a complete package for any Polanski buff. Bravo! Worth second viewing.

Its a very difficult task to adapt the god of carnage, but I think they've done very well writing it from what I see in the trailer.

The film takes place mainly inside the Longstreets house. They are the parents of the victim. The parents of the other child have come over to apologize and to assist the Longstreets in writing a police report. Hopefully, they can obtain an understanding over what the two boys were arguing about.
