I it really nice to see suck a wonderful Craftsman. This is the first time I have seen these turned elliptical pieces, and I have to say, it begs believe how this can be done?

I am sorry to hear about your grandfathers death. by any chance can you take a few pictures of your Grandfathers tools? that he made and used?

I wish I could have meet the man, his work is One of a kind.

Thank you for posting this. I remember your grand dad well. As a member of the NorCal club, I remember him bringing his creations to club meetings to share with everyone. He and I actually discussed partnering to do a "segmented" oval piece. We never did I'm sorry to say His work was one of a kind and will outlast us all.
