I went to this museum, definitely amazing to see, I am surprised many people outside of Colombia are not aware of it.

Look at the faces and count the fingers of one of the first figures, four fingers, these are alien faces...think about it look at the faces the craniofacial patterns.

@superanswer1000 es verdad, las piezas son magnificas pero evidentemente 2 de tus argumentos son erroneos...ni es el museo mas grande del mundo ni tampoco la cultura de la laguna de guatavita esta catalogada como milenaria, es tambien verdad que existen culturas aun mas antiguas y con bellas plazas y ciudadelas asi como rica ornamentacion que no presisamente es oro y te lo digo porque se de lo que hablo...SALUDOS DESDE MEXICO!!!

@kroenen755 para tu informacion sel museo de el oro de colombia es el tercero mas importante de el mundo despues de el museo de el prado (madrid) y el museo del louvre (francia) y poseemos la mas grande coleccion de orfebreria prehispanica mas grande de el mundo, de diferentes culturas colombianas como la muisca,nariño, sinù, quimbaya, calima, tierradentro y muchas de ellas milenarias. te aclaro que son mas de 34.000 piezas de oro en un mismo lugar te invito a visitarnos, besos a mexico!!

When this exhibit came to DC I asked openly why they had a map of Colombia pointing the locations of the findings, but there were no names of the indigenous civilizations, they ignored me.

So later on I walked up to then Colombia Museo de Oro Director Ms. Botero and told her:"This is the legacy of the indigenous peoples, you must respect their property" and I left.
