I was really psyched when a friend of mine pasted the description to me, and then I found out that you used Big Layer, 'cause that's sorta cheating, and then I was not so psyched anymore. Then I heard about automation and I got psyched again, and it turned out pretty nicely, considering the rules.
Hey, Have you guys seen the new Windows 7 powered StudioBLADE computer workstations? They're perfect for running FL Studio and all your windows compatable plug-ins! Click the link below to see videos!
The sounds you can get from sytrus are excellent but getting them is the problem. I've been playing around with it for a couple of months and i still can't get the hardstyle sounds im looking for. Hopeful i will soon. I have been working off a preset and changing it that way because starting from scratch is impossible.
I bet you were saying some very useful things but I couldn't hear you over the music.... I have a question, in sytrus, how the hell do I get rid of that static noise so that I can hear my piano playing more clearly? and thanks for the tutorial!
I just posted my video response. I only made simple modifications and didn't do any sequencing, but maybe I'll do a more detailed sytrus challenge response when I have time to figure everything out. If somebody can tell me how to get the mod x or mod y to change gradually throughout a pattern(not just note by note), I would appreciate it.
well you can either record yourself doing the change gradually throughout the song (using a sweeper or joystick) OR you can right-click on an x-mod or y-mod nob, click 'create automation clip' and then an automation clip should show up in the playlist, which you will be able to tweak to your fancy throughout the song
I've actually learned and figured out a lot since my last comment on here. I've figured out automations and sequencing. I've been tweaking the modx and y through LFO and that NEXT knob on the filter panel, but I didn't think to right-click the knobs on the main panel, so thanks! That'll come in handy. ;)
Really interesting use of Sytrus with your massive automation, and you did really well. I do the same with Virus TI, it has a SIIIICK modulation matrix, anything in the synth can modulate anything else.
Funny how almost every video response used multiple tracks when the point was to make one.
And those that did understand to use only one instance, used it to make one melody, without making sequences the way they were supposed to. I suspect they have attention deficit and didn't hear you. :P
I just finished hearing all responses and the first one, LemonBoiLehclox, was the only one the understood the challenge. He did an amazing job and totally transformed the patch AND made it nice to listen to.
Kubazio used a preset sequence and didn't really automate it, so yeah LemonBoiLehclox wins hands down, because there was no competition. :P
If you set a peak controller in the Mic input FX stack and fade back the mix knob on the FX bank to 0, you can link it the main output's mid range EQ slider and use it as a sidechain if the mapping algorithm is inverse.
That way you can speak over your music without manual adjustments :)
song is...not something you would want to listen to over and over again but making a beat/song with Sytrus is pretty difficult...You got skillz dude =D 5/5
I Have a project for this challange.. but i dont have time to film this and put it on you tube... if somebody wants to participate for me? I can send you the project...
holy baloony oO thats insane i didn't know sytrus was that powerfull, i knew it was powerfull but not that much :p btw its a waste you talked while song played cant hear it :S
I don't use anything but Sytrus. I even do drums/percussion with Sytrus now too.
