what a place i used to go there with my gas gas motor bike it's like heaven. going back soon with my new bike this time no engine ( revolution cuillin pro 11 ) nice bike
Hi, I'm new to film making, I should be getting my nice GH1 or GH2 in a couple of weeks time. I really like the effect where the camera slowly moves that you have achieved with your glidetrack, I think I'll have to get one. Is yours a "Glidetrack SD - 1 Metre" ?
@evilgeenius2 Yeah, it was the standard 1m glidetrack that I used. Very good just make sure you keep it clean. I find silicon spay useful to keep it gliding.
@maiamedia I'm thinking about getting the 0.5m glidetrack to keep it portable (and cheap). Would that have been long enough to achieve the effect on this video?
@evilgeenius2 Well actually I took the standard glidetrack to India last summer so had to saw off the last 15cm to fit it into my bag and make it handy to carry around. I made this video on my return so it was with a shorter track. I do try to use the whole length because the longer the glide I think the better the shot. Everything is a compromise though. I definitely used more than 0.5m in these shots but i'm sure you could get some nice shots too with a smaller one.
really good vidm8,im thinking ov doin 1 myself what editing software is best 2 use as i tryed editing a vid frm a kodak cam with windows movie maker n the file wouldnt drag across:~(
@johnnymucky I use a mac with Final Cut Pro which is quite expensive but there is also imovie for macs which can be good. Afraid I've never used movie maker.
@jasterixstrange Thanks! Love the comparison. Will try not to let it go to my head. We're in the process of making our own cable cam for the next vid.
Nice, I like that a lot I remember seeing you filming on that day i was on the track across from where you was filming, check out my edit of the track you was on about 2 months ago. It's only stationary filming but I try my best! I have loads of edits check them out if you get chance :) I'll send it as a video response or just add that to the end of the link... "watch?v=_3qtr31EWHI" Thanks.
@stumpy25lbs Thanks! The song is called Neopolitan Dreams and it's by Lisa Mitchell. I used my Panasonic Lumix GH1 to film the video with the standard kit lens. Nice and light to cart around with me on the trails.
Video's like that take some effort to make and tonnes of patience from video-man and a rider. Not saying anything about equipment, guess DSLR was used in making this nice video?
Enjoyed music and video, very well made. Respect for that.
