It's not a very good "then and Now" montage.It's mostly "then" and the photos are scanned rather than having nice copies to examine. It would have been a much more interesting video if you would have shown what many of those spots look like today.
Nice photos, but "then and now" usually implies actual photographic comparisons of the same building/scene, taken from the same vantage point, historically and contemporarily...either side by side, or one fading into the other, etc. So that people can see how it has changed (usually for the worse, as nothing built today has anywhere near the quality or detail of older constructions). Thanks for sharing.
@pjchmiel I like old buildings too but wooden frames and layers of brick hardly conjure up the "old" as quality construction. More things were done by hand. Doesn't mean it's better, just means it was done by hand. Looking at Grand Rapids spectacular skyline today makes me wonder what city you may be looking at, and what new construction doesn't meet with your expectations. Good grief. I do agree with you that the video is a rather poor example of a "Then and now" montage. Good effort however.
I loved the Photos but would have liked to have them moved more slowly so they could be examined. It would have also helped to have some captions on most of them. I agree the music is pleasant.
Your post has been a dilemma for me on every video. I haven't been able to make the tabs stay as long or short as I like. If I make the shots longer, than I need other music.

I grew up at 1013 Tamarack. Moving back to GR in 2 weeks after 2 decades away. It is so much better now! I can't wait.
